- Here it is!! Mat has finally got his hands on the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS!
This is pretty much the most hardcore Porsche you can buy in 2022, and Mat’s about to find out if it’s the ultimate, must-have Porsche!
For starters, let’s check out the awesome design! There are a whole load of serious aero upgrades added from right at the front through to the rear. Up top, there’s a new front splitter, huge vents to help with air management on the carbon fibre bonnet along with additional vents surrounding the front tyres. Then round the back, not only do you have an updated rear diffuser… You’ll also find the biggest wing EVER added to a Porsche road car! And it’s not just for show - it’s 100% active, too!
Next up, let’s discuss performance changes. It’s pretty similar to the standard GT3, but of course, the output has been changed slightly. The power is up, from 515hp to 525hp, while torque is actually down(!), dropping to 465Nm. The GT3 RS’s home is the race track, but it can still smash out a 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds!
On the inside, the GT3 RS comes with a load of upgrades over both the standard 911 & GT3. Naturally, there is GT3 RS badging throughout, from the kick plates to the dials. It comes with bespoke dials with yellow surrounds as well as a unique steering wheel! There’s also some carbon fibre trim throughout the cabin, including carbon fibre-backed bucket seats!
As for the price, it starts from £178,500, rising up to £204,500 if you add the optional Weissach pack! So… Is it worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

I did not like how extreme it was when the pictures first dropped, but seeing it in video and having those features explained by the engineer, I've felt the same lust the 997.2 instilled in me. What an incredible evolution of the breed.
That's not an engineer, he's a sales guy that probably lent the car for the video. There's no Porsche engineers outside Germany.

I think with extremely rich always around , n/a engine's in sports cars will always be there.
The way the rev limiter bounces of the redline on hard approach to signal the instant [manual] upchange, but allows a subsequent settled redline for holding it there. Pure class.
What would be really interesting to know is, as it's down on torque vs GT3, what's the difference between it and the GT3 on a track? That's surely the kind of thing we want to know and very useful. Because one you can't (realistically) drive on a road as a daily driver and one you can.

The amount of engineering and design behind this thing is insane. Literally every single piece of aero is all functional and not just for show.

That should be the default assumption, that every lip and vent has a purpose other than to be for show. But we keep buying cars with fakery. Actually, I am not guilty, I have never bought a new car.

accept when the GT2 RS had fake audio for exhaust sounds a few years ago. For something that cost $330,000 that was such a low point.
I can't believe that Matt didn't find the ONE fake vent on the rear that is actually labelled with "no vent" as an easter egg😂

MAT, this GT3 RS with the WEISSACH package is breath taking. The sound at 9000 RPM is fantastic. All is perfect : the wheels , the tires, the brakes, the engine . All the carbon parts (aerodynamice or structure) are wonderful. I hope that you have already order it. You deserve this car . You are still young , you must enjoy life and cars.🔥🔥🔥🔥✌✌✌
Hard to imagine what the GT2 RS will be like, and their next hypercar. This GT3 RS is breathtaking and an engineering marvel.

I just saved and paid cash for my 987 gen cayman as my first car, found a good manual spec and its an absolute dream. Can’t wait to make the 911 jump in 5 years or so. Good luck man! You’ll get it!!

This is one of those toys where if you actually hit the track, you really should give it a consideration. Problem is as someone who doesn't really do track days(as much as I'd like to, it's not really accessible where I live. My choice of 911s would probably still be the 911R, now if only they made more of those...

i think this is already my all time dream car. i am so obsessed with it. usually i have no issue just watching videos and appreciating cars, but this one actually hurts my soul that i cant afford it.
This 911 GT3RS has the total BHP on par with BMW V12 LMR. Both road and race trims.

An amazing car, inside and out. However, as I get older, these cars cannot be unleashed to their full potential on the main road. They are bred for the track. Great review , keep it up.
I mean, its the point. If u want a 911 that is not this extreme, u can just buy a regular one
@@valentino8498 Doesn't matter whether it's this or a standard 911, the full potential of the car will never be realized on main roads or highways. You need a track to fully experience purpose for which this car was built. I've driven a 911 Carrera S and 4S along with the GT3 touring, they're absolute beastly cars. Daily driven is a given, they are decent at that, but like I said, to experience them for what they were made for, the track is needed.

@@mxnny_r5002 I have a 370z and a Carrera 4s, both manual and it gets tedious driving in rush hour traffic here in Toronto. I love manual , not in traffic, in addition the seats are not the comfiest in these cars for long duration drives. I spend 1 hour + on the road a day I want something spacious and comfy, my E450 wagon does just that for me. Nothing flashy, just a family car with the one of the comfiest seats I have sat in, which don't hurt my my ass or back after 1 hour plus of driving. See, i have experience with owning this type of sports car and have and currently am living with it, whereas most people just sit at home behind a computer acting as if they have these cars to even begin with.

I like it, looks great! I'm guessing if you did not order one a long time ago, you can't get one and you will be paying a huge dealers market adjustment. Or you could order a C8 Z06 that is definitely faster and $100,000 cheaper. But with a long wait to get one.
