Don’t worry about that too much. It will scratch at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7 anyway like all the other phones😀 Apple said ceramic shield give more protection when you drop it, not against scratches.

@@Mr.White1 thanks. I'm torn between the mini and regular one just because I loved my old 4 back in the day, but my hands are bigger now so I'm not sure if it's going to be too small or not. Just going to have to wait and see

I got the 8t+ for T-Mobile. Just because my 7 pro wasn't getting the support for the network since it was a Sprint 5G phone and was getting limited service. It's a solid phone really like it. Glad to know it's a quality phone.

I upgraded from the 7t to the 8t for the 120 hz and the 12 gbs ram. If you upgrade it should always be for what suits you.
So much ram seems pretty pointless to me (unless you live in china without gplay store ofc). May I ask what prompted you to upgrade?

Yep, I upgraded to an 8t but I had a 6t and I kinda miss it at times. It died when I dropped it over a dozen times during a caseless gym session (my case broke and I had ordered a new one that didn't arrive on time, sadly)

You make some great points. I have a Google Pixel 3 and work for Verizon. This phone is fan-tastic and nothing put out since has made me be like ooo I need to upgrade. I replaced the battery a couple months back (got it Black Friday 2018) and now we're gravy boat. Nothing anytime recently has been Earth shattering. There's no mind-blowing new cameras, 120Hz screen on a phone is not important, and faster charging isn't the coolest thing in the world to me. If anything the LG Wing is the coolest recent phone and I'm not an LG guy

The 8T was a worthwhile purchase for me, mostly because I upgraded from a Moto G6 Play (from a few years ago) to this, which is now last year's model.
This is only my second phone, but I usually try to stay a year behind. I mean, by storage capacity quadrupled, the screen upgraded from LCD to OLED, 60hz to 120hz, and a super snappy CPU. All for just a $100 more than I paid (at the time) for my previous phone 4ish years ago.
screen is AMOLED not OLED, they're the same thing but AMOLED does not consume a lot of power

to increase shatter resistance by such a drastic percentage (400%) they probably lowered scratch resistance or kept it the same as gorilla glass 6
