I cannot imagine this on lsd. I think I ate some mushrooms before a David Gilmore show. I did not eat that much but it was a freaky little concert. I drank and smoked so much b4 the mob rules show. I must have been 15. My friend was huffing helium or some shit and fell backwards in his seat during the show and puked all over himself. A real buzz kill. I was just watching or listening to an old audio of ozzy on blizzard of Oz tour. I saw ozzy with randy rhoades but maybe the next album, I am not sure. Anyways, it was a good show but the mob rules just sounds much better. Ozzy sounded kind of fucked up. Thanks for responding. Sorry for your friend passing away. God bless. Rob From South florida.

@@user-fp9qg3qm5b We lived out in the SoCal high desert between Mojave and Death Valley, and for us just getting to the Forum was a long drive. The 4 of us were smoking weed and drinking beer and JD the whole way to LA. There were a bunch of us party animals from town and we met a bunch of friends in the parking lot. We dropped the Goofy (so named because a lot of blotter acid in the '80's had Disney characters on the tabs, this batch was "Goofy" instead of Mickey Mouse...LOL) in the parking lot as we were partying, so we started frying at the start of the Outlaws set and peaked right as they finished. It was so intense, and when 'Sabbath came on... Wow, just....WOW! One of the most memorable concerts I've ever seen, and not just because of the acid. Me and Rob-Dog were huge Dio fans from before his time in Sabbath (we wore out Rainbow Kill The King, etc.) and this was our first time seeing him and with Sabbath it was just that much more awesome.

I saw them at The Forum in 1982 ..( I was 15 as well- born August 66) it was the third concert I went to ( Rush Anaheim 81 and The Police LA 1982 were the previous two).
Was it just me or were these guys not the loudest spectacle imaginable?!
My ears rang for two and a half days after the Mob Rules show.
Just the E5150 bass intro at the beginning shook the walls.

I was 15 but only got the tickets because some other guy overdosed on qualudes and sold me two tickets for 20 dollars. I have to say, it was weird watching duo do the old sabbath at the time. But i loved the dio years. I also ozzy with randy rhoades right before he died. Also saw sabbath with gillian which was an amazing concert. I really paid however for all the drinking and drugs i did. Was it just me or were these guys louder than most rock acts? I’ve seen and okayed in a lot of concerts, yet Black Sabbath with Dio still stands out as one of THE loudest shows I ever witnessed: must have been 110 decibels or more.
I don’t remember them playing at Long Beach that year . Probably because my friend already had the Forum tickets and was already going to see them:

Everybody is talking about the singers and they are both great but aren’ t you forgetting Tony Iommi in my opinion perhaps the biggest reason for the Sabbath’s greatness

Go back and listen to the Ozzy era Sabbath and Toni's solos again. His phrasings were tremendous, powerful, unique and had meaning and purpose.

One of the many reasons Dio is the finest Heavy Metal vocalist to grace the stage. Listen to this powerful on point voice live. No matter his age his voice always stayed strong and lives on forever 🤘🏼❤
