A little bit of Partsforming, but it finally hides the hands
Didn't know about the hip upgrades, but might spring for this for the hip upgrades instead of the foot upgrades; I don't like the new parts that replace the original ones.
Unless I'm wrong, the foot pad should still attach to a stock foot.
They do. I was not happy to find I removed 16 screws for no reason, because I already had them covered in Toyhax stickers.
I thought these attached to the thighs in the battle station mode, I see I'm wrong in assuming that. On the feet, you had to dissemble that whole piece. Then put pegs into the replacement parts and attach those. Any worries about those coming unpegged? The right arm in base mode. Could that be bent into the 90 degree with the addon attached? I mean the shoulder has the cannon straight up in a tower mode, and bending the elbow so the addon is running flat close to the chest ramp?
I would use the city mode more if I can ever justify the huge cost of some replacement knees so he can actually transform properly like he should.
He needs quite a lot really - a ramp extender for a start, also some sort of better mounting method for his red gun/s on the main deck, a few gap filler pieces would be nice too - he has a particularly egregious gap in his under torso. maybe some sort of interior upgrades for the base mode like a ramp lifter for repairs perhaps some tools or other things to decorate the interior more. he could even do with a cheaper option for sticker upgrades too.
Fort Max needs much of the same stuff - new knees, interior stickers - perhaps an extra ramp or two - extenders for his arm ramps new guns his missing accessory character, a radar dish, perhaps a cover for the cerebros bay so it's a cockpit for legions, titanmasters or minicons instead.
Both of them arguably need new hands too.
If I had to only pick one thing though it would be the knees - the side ratchet I never even noticed was a problem - but it would certainly improve the base modes too in conjunction with the new knees.
Anything that allows these guys to function more like TR Trypticon and interact with the bases and titanmasters is a boon for me.
One of the reasons why I think a slight remould and upgrade of Metroplex as Metrotitan is worth doing - to make him a Micromaster base say sometime in 2020.
I don't think he's worth just reissuing like Takara want to do - as he's got to many flaws as is.
90 Lancaster : needs to do something about the abdomen as well. "MBC-002 City Bot Utopia, made by Maketoys" got it right and it's carrier mode is far superior as a result.
Just wish "Utopia" was a bit taller.
The DNA Metroplex hand set is pretty good, it's been out for a little while now.

Still trying to get hold of the DNA upgrade kits DK-02M and DK-04M for him I'm still looking for them just haven't had much luck

I have to admit I haven't watched the whole review, but I will comment that my DNA Devastator set has a lot of problems I need to fix, and (I think) Vangelus put up a good video on how to fix/improve Dev's problem ratchets, so I'm probably a pass on this. Also, DNA's Susanoo was absolutely riddled with problems.

My sticker set for Metro started peeling off pretty quickly after application with no travelling whatsoever.
It annoys me that this set is $800 now.
They really need to rerelease this...
I need the upgrades for my Fort Max.
The only part of this kit worth a damn is the new hip ratchet. Maybe it's just my metroplex but, the new pieces for the sides of the feet pull the toe piece forward just enough to make you have to force the toe to clip into the black flap on the bottom of the feet. Also no matter what I do the tilting feet will not sit flat.
Whelp, I'm paying a bit more money, sorry sparktoys, I'm gonna get a titan bot! TO KAPOWTOYS!!!!
