    3:07 A pullback motor is a coiled spring. It stores energy when compressed, like a stretched rubber band. When released, the spring uncoils rapidly, transforming stored energy into motion.

    3:16 Imagine a one-way street for gears! That's a ratchet and pawl. There's a wheel with teeth (the ratchet) and a little gate (the pawl). The gate only lets the wheel go one way. It's like a super cool traffic cop for gears!

    Not a hate comment, just an observation. In the first two jumps at the end of the video, the support is way too low for the cars to actually have a chance to jump at maximum height (especially in the first low jump). The "dangling" of the ramp makes the cars jump way lower than actually possible, compared to the last section where the support is almost all the way up to the tip of the ramp (doesn't matter that much though, because the force applied to the ramp in the x-axis is less as the car moves upwards, so the position of the supoport is okay). Maybe I'm wrong or maybe the differences wouldn't be that noticeable. Either way, I enjoyed the video! Keep it up!

    For speed calculation you could use more sections than only two, for example using four instead - you gain two times more possible outcomes. If you use 6 sections that you prepared measurement accuracy grows even more.

      @@DrEngine in fact.. for me i have a stressful editing job and watching this without crappy music I find calming & fun. Also you explained this one slow enough that even a kid would understand. Something like this would make excellent kids education videos about engineering - and how to problem solve. So that might be an extra revenue source for you. Online courses. Anyway, ive thumbed up and look forward another when youre ready. How about "boats" next time? air powered, solar or maybe clock springs?

    This brings me back to when I used Hot Wheels actual booster track piece. It had notches so you could change the boost speed. I would always set it to the max and the cars just went flying off 😂.

    • @DrEngine

      It’s amazing how much fun you can have with speed adjustments, even if it means watching cars go flying. Thanks for sharing that memory!

  • @xxsydeaxolotlxx4116
    @xxsydeaxolotlxx4116 3 месяца назад +10

    ok, with the tire jumping contest thing, thats not really fair because the end of the ramp isnt supported. if a car was going too fast (which shouldnt be a bad thing here) it would push the ramp back because the end isnt supported. it wouldnt be as high of a ramp because it would be pushed back. since its not as high of a ramp, it wouldnt be able to clear the jump. its actually having too much momentum instead of just speed, because if there was the same amount of speed but more weight (ignoring the fact it would have an effect on the booster) it would also push the ramp back, and do the same thing (in concept). so, yeah, its kinda unfair.
    edit: its mainly the first one because the second is better supported.
