I remember Omega Supreme being quite popular when I was young, but my favorite toy of all was Trypticon. I carried him everwhere I went like a teddy bear, and I even had him lay on the pillow next to me while I slept. My dad eventually gave the toy to charity, but I always wished he hadn't. When I finally started to earn real money as an adult, I purchased the reissued Typticon a couple years ago and he sits in my room once more
I nearly cried when MetroPlex in 'Fall of Cybertron' gave his life to the ark and said "Till all are one". Even now, i get emotional when i remember that scene when his spark extinguishes.
I think I did tear up a bit. I was certainly sad anyway. That was an awesome game, not many stories that can make me genuinely sad when a character dies.
Had high moon been allowed to cobtinue making great Transformers games, and let the story continue, there's a simple way to bring him back. His Spark is inside the Ark now. When Autobot city us built on earth, the Autobots discover the conscious Titan spark, like a ghost in the machine and upload it into the new autobot city.
Gotta say, Metroplex's reveal in one of the Fall of Cybertron trailers remains one of my favorites. I still get chills every time I hear him say "Metroplex heeds the call of the last Prime".
My friend very kindly gave me his Skorponok when was poorly in hospital when I was young. It is still not only one of my most treasured Transformers (which I have kept), but one of my most treasured possessions. Such a wonderful thoughtful thing to do.
Ha! I don't read the f***ing comics and haven't watched half the available cartoons, and can barely remember the original series. The only media I've consumed is the Micheal Bay trilogy, Prime, the OG series, Beast Wars, and Beast Machines. So... Yeah.

MY MAN! Trypticon is literaly MehaGodzilla of the Transformers universe, and one of the coolest Decepticons in my opinion...although his lack in media, kinda makes me forget about him to time to time.
My favorite titan transformer is definitely Metroplex. I remember as a child watching Transformers Cybertron and enjoying its iteration of the character. Then, Fall of Cybertron comes out, and his version there is fantastic. I love how he’s this secret weapon slumbering for years, waiting for the call by whichever prime needed him. That, and I love how he’s essentially a walking talking artillery platform, destroying everything I tell him to.
I'd love to see a basics on TF Animated. That show stole my favorite show spot from Beast Wars, the one I grew up with. They both remain, in my opinion, the best written Transformers shows so far.
I think I'm gonna have to pin this one - no, Omega Supreme isn't a Titan. He turns into a rocket launchpad, not a city. He's roughly the height of a combiner - he'd fit in the palm of a Titan's hand. He's now had a Titan-class figure released in the "Siege" line, but being a Titan-class figure isn't the same as being "A TITAN" in-fiction (elsewise Devastator and Predaking would count too), and while it's possible some media might take this approach with him in the future, none has yet. Same deal for Overlord, Star Convoy, Dai Atlas, Grandus, Gigastorm, etc - they are just tall, ordinary Transformers who, at best transform into bases scaled to be crewed by human/Micromaster-scale beings. That scale issue related to the matter of BlackZarak that a few people have brought up - my concern there was actually not "do I mention BlackZarak," but rather, "do I even mention Grand Maximus," because the fictional appearances of those these characters in the Masterforce cartoon only present them as being about combiner-height. In the end I went back to their tech specs, which specifically called out Grand as a huge fortress, and BlackZarak as shrunken from his original height, so I split the difference, also factoring in that Scorponok and BlackZarak are the same character, so I stressed that it was about "new characters," not "new toys," while also including a short clip of BZ. The greater complications of the Maximuses and Zaraks would, of course, be addressed in any future episodes dedicated to those individual characters.
Chris McFeely - I see. I just figured, OG Metroplex was just a fortress, not a whole city, and OG Omega Supreme is so big, his arms, alone, turn into a rocket big enough to carry most, if not all, of the season 1 and 2 Autobots, I thought they, or at least the original cartoon’s depiction, would be of comparable size.
Omega is a little bigger than the combiners. About a head bigger than devastator. There's an episode where they fight. He also beat menasor once while saving superion
Chris McFeely I'm pretty sure that combiners would reach up to Omega Supreme's knee( except Predaking or Volcanicus) . It would make sense if they did, I mean just think about the scale and Omega Supreme reaches up to a Titan's knee. But that's just my own personal opinion, and Omega Supreme is still not a Titan.
I liked it when Captain Kirk, with Ratchet's help, took control of Fortress Maximus, reformatted him as an Autobot-scale Enterprise, and fought Trypticon as Fortress Tiberius. That was cool.
loved the battles between Metroplex & Trypticon in season 3 when I was a kid. Also, I was the only one of my friends to have Trypticon - it seemed everyone had Metroplex in the 80's, so that made me cool LOL, at least among my TF friends.
I would love to see Hasbro make a New Titan figure that’s actually a scramble city combiner where the four limb bots are about leader class sized and the main body figure is about Combiner Wars Devastator sized. They could actually call the full figure Scramble City and have it as the home/ birthplace of the combiners that have that combiner style. That would be cool
Excellent video. I find the Transformers canon/timeline one of the more confusing and extense. It makes it interesting, but videos like these help you sort out what the heck is what and where things originated from. In other words: GREAT JOB!
If I had to pick a favorite it would be Scorponok, mostly because of his figure design, the fact that he has a beast mode and the way he was portrayed in the Marvel G1 Comic. On that note I think that the many versions of Scorponok would make for a very intriguing episode of The Basics.
What would be awesome(and totally unexpected) would be an episode telling the story about the Transformers that accompanied each Titan(Scamper, Six Gun, Slammer, Full-Tilt.)Even diving into the “Titan Masters” they have now. Though Windblade being flushed out would be cool too despite those who dont care for her.
The Broken Baller I think you mean fleshed out though those that don't like her would probably agree with your choice of the word flush. Personally, I'd have preferred the likes of Scamper, Full Tilt and Fasttrack were the City Speakers in modern fiction.
Mark Mc Donnell we also have weird things like “City Commander” which tend to never be mentioned. (I imagined it like it’s the power to control the Titans or make them act while City Speaker’s communicate with the Titans.)
My favorite Titan has always been Fortress Maximus, he has always stood taller than Metroplex, for he Fortress Maximus is the poster bot for Titan Transformers. :3 Anyone else agree? :D
Trypticon is my favorite of course. I'm so glad to have gotten him, in the last batch (a good one for the hips and tail problem) in the titans returns line, so nice, so big
I used to think that Metroplex and Fortress Maximus wear the same transformer but work given different names for different transformer installations. That is until I realized that the two Titans had different overall designs.
I’d love to see a character focus on Beachcomber or Cosmos, or a look at the Quintessons. I know that Hasbro apparently doesn’t want that to be the case anymore, but their role as the creators of the Transformers is really interesting
Over the years, we've received new Titans in the form of Croaton, Iaconus and the Dweller in Cyberverse, Citadel Secundus in Rescue Bots Academy, and Terratronus in EarthSpark.

If I remember correctly... Fortress Maximus was a head master in the animated series, and his head master was a bit whiny as I recall... but none the less, I loved Fortress Maximus.
Yeah he was but in the japanese Headmasters,he was more than enough of a man who would rather take in charge of the situation ahead, even if it means babysitting Daniel and taking another route where something doesn't fit quite right in ep.6 of Headmasters. Thanks Daniel. >:/
Muhd Wahid in head masters it was his head that was the 'brains'...he was known as "fortress" and the main (larger city bot) was simply a starship for the headmasters to travel around in.it didn't have a mind of its own or come "alive" untill fortress merged with it....and in headmasters ALL of the mini bots (heads in robot mode) were actually genuine transformers who built the larger bots (transtectors) so they could have vechilles to pilot and then transform into regular sized robots to enable them to join in the fight which is completley different to how the headmasters were portrayed in the west.
I remember asking you if you were going to do an episode on the Titans as well as Powermasters, Targetmasters, Female Transformers, etc. I’m glad that the Titans now have one
My Favorite BaseFormer is Brave Maximus BY FAR!!! The most powerful of all, created by Primus to destroy Unicron, he is a force to be recon with. He is so powerful that he only reacts to Humans and Unicron himself to attack!!! Plus the mold and paint scheme is the best of all!!!
The comics and Cyberverse Cartoons have introduced more Titans such as Lodestar, Cargohold, Citadel, Waypoint, Iaconus, Croaton and reimagined the Dweller as a Titan.
What an awesome sense of scale that one comic book drawing gives you in regard to their size. Metroplex has both Omega Supreme and Superion sitting on top of him, making them both look like little bugs crawling around on him
You mentioned the difficulty of scale for figures. I always thought the Energon line did this really well. Prime, Galvatron, and Omega stood their right size next to other bots, yet if you put them next to Unicorn and Primus planet figures, they matched the scale there for when they grew to larger sizes in the show. The scale matched for whichever figure they were next to.
Perci Constance in comparison to his current toy and Titans Return iteration, Fort Max, in the IDW comics is much more of an actual character. Where these iterations come off more like hollow shells to be activated by their Titan Masters, IDW Fort Max actually comes off as "alive." His PTSD from his time on Garrus 9, and subsequent out bursts, is entirely empathetical, and his ability to cope and become socially functional again is aspirational and very compelling.
I Always entertain this notion, what if Fortress Maximus has to deal with his body returning to life? We know that the large form of Fortress Maximus is a form cobbled together from different Titans. Retains its color, implying that it is somehow still alive. What if it regains consciousness? More intriguing, what if it does so while he is still connected? someone with PTSD having to try to help someone else with PTSD perhaps?
It's a shame due to their size and how expensive they would be, they can't make many of them in toy form. I originally thought only four of them existist like Metroplex, Fortress Maxiumus, Scorponok and Trypicon but thanks to that Cyberverse cartoon showing more, I wanted to see those new ones in toy forms!
I remember when in italy metroplex and trypticon were sold....i sooo wanted them but they were fucking expensive ...every time i saw their pics in the comic books i started to drool
I honestly like them being called “titans” and having an entity that can speak directly to them known as “city speakers“. Watching the “return of the Titans“ series gave me my first glimpse into wind blade’s abilities. I have never watched anything beyond the G1 series. Nothing really peaked my interest until the machinima series started coming out YOUUUU MAAADE MEEEEE!!!
I've thought about this one a fair bit, but when you break it down there are SO MANY crossovers it becomes unwieldy and listicle-y. Marvel, Star Wars, GI Joe, sure - all the other Hasbro properties... but also Peanuts, Lunchables, Hello Kitty, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, Disney, Evangelion... its endless! I'm sure there's a way to approach it but I haven't figured it out yet.
Very good point. Whether it would have to be specifically the joes or the revolution series then. Or instead do an episode on hearts of steel...nudge nudge
The 2nd TF comic I made when I was young highlighted Metroplex and was going to have Trypticon, but it was so much work it fizzled out about halfway through.
My favourite is Fortress Maximus and Scorponok because both of their headmaster components have their own personalities and histories and plus they both have an enteral rivalry with one another just like Optimus Prime and Megatron however though Scorponok follows the warriors code of honour and always Fortress Maximus always is in an enteral struggle with his headmaster component which is spike but that happens in marvel comics so yeah can you please do a video about these two Chris mcfeely thank you
Apparently I need to check out IDW comics. I love the term Titans--mythic and visceral, and effortlessly communicates the vastness I have always imagined a city Transformer to have. Long time ago (early 90s), I started a screenplay for a new (animated) TF movie that opened with Trypticon descending, in dinosaur mode, into San Francisco bay, absolutely dwarfing the city itself and devastating it with a tsunami as his opening act. Fun fact: writing a screenplay is much harder than writing other sorts of fiction (for me, at any rate), and I gave up after what would have been about 20 minutes of screen time. I just got bored with fiddling with the format so much more than getting the story on paper.
The comics and Cyberverse Cartoons have introduced more Titans such as Lodestar, Cargohold, Citadel, Waypoint, Iaconus, Croaton and reimagined the Dweller as a Titan.
2:09 That's 100% a Pegasus-class ship from Mobile Suit Gundam, and nobody can tell me any different.
What an awesome sense of scale that one comic book drawing gives you in regard to their size. Metroplex has both Omega Supreme and Superion sitting on top of him, making them both look like little bugs crawling around on him
Really nice series of videos (the basics) keep it on man, great stuff.
I enjoy revisiting some of your older videos! Nice to have it playing the background...
How about the basics of minicons?
It's done.
And as Windblade said herself The Titans have returned
Hmm, hard pick favorite Titan. Though got to admit that Trypticon is scratching my liking.
I'm a bigger fan of Fort Max in his current IDW form. He's more relatable
I’d like to see a g1 inspired titan that was in the ocean.
An episode of the basics about either Nightbeat, Skylynx, Tailgate, or Whirl
I remember when in italy metroplex and trypticon were sold....i sooo wanted them but they were fucking expensive ...every time i saw their pics in the comic books i started to drool
The phrase "by the Allspark of Cybertron!" was used as an expression of surprise in the Transformers Cybertron cartoon.
The basics on wheeljack
They did
Please do one on Mirage. I only remember him in a handful of episodes. I know he’s in the original opening.
Yes please to Mirage
Basics on Action Masters next please.
rodster6 I'd love to see that especially any information on the unreleased Actionmaster toys such as Predaking, Ultra Magnus and Arcee.
Then patreon 'em
trypticon in the cartoon has no eyes for some reason
Great vid as always, I did feel Black Zarak and Gigastorm could have done with a mention though.
I honestly like them being called “titans” and having an entity that can speak directly to them known as “city speakers“. Watching the “return of the Titans“ series gave me my first glimpse into wind blade’s abilities. I have never watched anything beyond the G1 series. Nothing really peaked my interest until the machinima series started coming out
YOUUUU MAAADE MEEEEE!!!
Another Great Vid!
How about the basics on Transformers Prime?
Can you do the basics on Warpath? He's one of my favorite characters.
The basics on crossovers?
Marvel, gi joe etc
Alex Edwards shpidermun.
My favorite TITAN is Fortress Maximus
Finally 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
The 2nd TF comic I made when I was young highlighted Metroplex and was going to have Trypticon, but it was so much work it fizzled out about halfway through.
My favourite is Fortress Maximus and Scorponok because both of their headmaster components have their own personalities and histories and plus they both have an enteral rivalry with one another just like Optimus Prime and Megatron however though Scorponok follows the warriors code of honour and always Fortress Maximus always is in an enteral struggle with his headmaster component which is spike but that happens in marvel comics so yeah can you please do a video about these two Chris mcfeely thank you
This man needs a raise
How bout an episode that talks about Omega Surpeme and/or other characters similar to him?
I like to think of Fort Max with his city form, he just shrinks down to his robot form.
I mean, that kinda stuff isn't too rare in TF anyway.
0:12 where is that image from?! I must know the comic please
9:09 I'm sorry is that OMEGA SUPREME standing on his shoulder?! That's one way to show how literally titanic these titans are.
Your channel is awesome!Keep doing the series! Also can you make the basics on minicons?
Fort Max is one of my fav in the IDW comics
Just remember, next year we will get a colossal third party fortress maximus whos probably the size of 6 MP transformers
Great video , i love tf titans!
And basics on triple changers pls?
One guy made a giant wood and 3d printed metroplex to hold his transformers toys. Pictures online. Awesome
Still would be grateful for The Basics on THE WRECKERS!
