    For the screws, I noticed you just cranked down on them when dealing with plastic to prevent cross threading aka stripping the plastic away. Instead, line the screw up to the hole and then lightly go backward you will notice the screw will bounce up and down a bit it just takes a few turns with one bump will stand out then go forward the screw will be lined up and go in smoothly without cross threading and you not need to really crank down as you rethread the screw port keep in mind do not go tight at this point. Once they are all in and the toy is at a state that you want finished then you go back and re-tighten the screws down hard this allows for the tightest seal without stressing the plastic.

    Good review, got the upgrade kit in the mail yesterday, Robot surgery was short and sweet (I'm lying, getting the hip ratchets to go back in their groove was the biggest pain in the world with the spring pushing against me) and the ratchets were worth the purchase, as well as his new foot-tilt.
    now I gotta ask
    where did you get that background, I want it too. I WANTS IT PRECIOUS.

    +Benscollectables Does the legs stay in place when you lift him as Battleship now? They don't droop down now?

    Pretty late to the party here, but do you think this kit is compatible with Generations Metroplex? I can’t find DK-02M and DK-04M anywhere. However this kit(hands and feet) are still available. I was thinking of just painting either white or black. Or maybe just get the DK-05 kit in red and call it a day, since Metroplex does have some red on him. Just not sure if it’s compatible(speaking of hands, feet, and hip ratchets).??

    it's a freaking shame that you have to spend money on two extra kits to fix a figure that's already $300+.
    If only there was a kit so you can use "Perfect Effects Warden" with him.

    "a very good figure great." Fortress Maximus is not a good figure it transforms less than the original G1 did. It is literally a giant robot that does yoga for one mode and lays down for the other mode. The head and the heads head almost do more transformation than the rest of that too tall too Big catastrophe. Having owned two of the three versions of the mold I actually speak from experience. I think you are speaking a little out of Fanboy nostalgia.

    • @Yamatonix11
      @Yamatonix11 6 лет назад

      I think he also speaks from the perspective of how difficult it is to get a hold of a G1 Fortress Maximus these days, especially one in good condition. Even the Encore version is hard to find.
      I do agree, TR Fort Max could have done so much more. I think the fault was in focusing on the robot mode over the other two modes.
      But then Fort Max's "battle station" mode has always been Max taking a siesta. So you can't really get to heated on that one.
      Now, his city mode, I agree on that one. You need third party addons to make his city mode look even the least bit impressing.
      having said that though, I still purchased this figure, though I've been steadily adding on to him since purchase in 2016.

      @@Yamatonix11 " I think the fault was in focusing on the robot mode over the other two modes." I agree fully with that. I think the fact that they first released Metroplex, they were faced with the question: do we design a new version of the G1 mode or do we just use parts of Metroplex and add some changes to it. Sadly they chose the latter option. The Titan Class has less playability than the G1 version and that is a shame. What i would like to see a 3rd Party would design. A solution to make the legs position like two towers in a stable mode.
