The most wholesom book I've read is All systems red. Not a fan of sci-fi and I didn't think a series called the Murderbot diaries would make me adore the main character as I do. But it's adorable.

When I'm dealing with depression, I get myself to read Howl's Moving Castle, The House in the Cerulean Sea, or All Systems Red (Murderbot Diaries #1). They all make me smile.
A recent read for Adult Romance that had similar themes to ‘When Dimple met Rishi’ is ‘The Marriage Game’ by Sara Desai. It has a great family dynamic centered around an Indian Restaurant, following a hate to love romance, as well as the main character finding out that her father set up a lot of blind dates for her so she can enter an arranged marriage. It’s really cute, there are some problems with the guy...but the family dynamic made me so happy.
The Storied Life of AJ Fikry has honestly been one of the warmest and most uncomfortably comforting books I’ve read in a while, took turns I didn’t expect but all I want from life now is to own a bookstore ✨
Oh I loved AJ Fikry too!! A truly heartwarming book to read would be You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle. It has all the feels and my now all time favorite book!!

My go to happy books are currently the Hamster Princess series by Ursula Vernon, which is a series of fairy tale retellings starting a princess who's loves adventuring. I'm not sure if they're even middle-grade, but they're fun.

I have had When Dimple Met Rishi on my TBR for so long...maybe this is the push I needed to finally pick it up. I LOVED The Storied Life of AJ Fikry ❤️Love & Gelato and Isla and the Happily Ever After were both YA contemporaries that made me very happy. So. Cute.
One book I can recommend is "Meandering Sobriety". Although it's a philosophical book, it is a bit humorous and still thought-provoking. The book is a series of funny and thought-stimulating stories that will help you have a moment of escape from hustle reality to see and understand it deeper. It can also bring you some LOL moments as well. Most importantly, it's short and can be completed in a day.

I recently listened to Taming Demons for Beginners and it’s a great YA fantasy where a young woman accidentally makes a contract with a demon where he protects her and she makes him cookies. Sounds a little silly but it’s actually really fun!
Some "Happy Books" that I read recently. Diary of a Somebody by Brian Bilston. (I laughed so much!). The Vanished Bride by Bella Ellis. (The Bronte sisters solving crime!)
I love Gentleman’s Guide and When Dimple Met Rishi!! You need to read Lady’s Guide/ it’s amazing and has so much great discussion on diverse women supporting each other and being interested in science! I highly recommend The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli! It made me so happy 💛💗
Just received my copies of the Chloe Brown and Dani Brown books. Excited to read them. Many people have recommended The House in the Cerulean Sea but I know you’re on that. And someone else recommended the Nevermoor series which is such a cute middle grade series. LOVED the first two. Just pre-ordered the third. I *always* recommend Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series. He was such a brilliant writer of satirical fantasy. They’re all quick reads and there are a ton of them. I’m finishing up my third read through of the entire series currently. I recently read the Witch PI series (magic + mystery) which also are short and have a ton of books. They are funny, cute, and light hearted. Not the worlds most amazing writing but truly a fun reprieve from reality. Also, non-fantasy, this year I read Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians series which were all funny and ridiculous.

Dimple Rishi thing is now on Netflix as mismatched starring a RUclipsr mostly sane (Prajakta) people loved it like anything. I came to know that it’s a book adaptation for the first time here.
The Legend of Eli Monpress series by Racheal Aaron; It's a fantasy series where all inanimate objects have souls and people that call themselves wizards are able to communicate with them. Full of magic. Also, the Riyria Revelations series by Michael Sullivan; about two friends, Royce and Hadrian, that create a business where they get hired by people of royal classes to accomplish varies assignments. Also full of magic and supernatural creatures.
I have realized that I read a ton of dark depressing books, I need some of these happier books in my life!

It's a classic, of course, but I have to say 'Little Women' by Louisa May Alcott. The family at the center is so easy to connect to and fall in with.

I read aru shah! It was pretty funny and Aru was really likable, I would recommend no matter what age you are!
