For the person who wanted deaf community romance focused book, a silent voice is a great manga/movie with a deaf main character, which deals with bullying too, because it starts when the characters are kids. Its also a romance and its really great, so yeah check it out
a sign of affection by suu morishita is another manga with a deaf mc
im sorry but i feel like calling a silent voice a romance is wrong? 😭 thats not really the theme
@@vulcan65 Yeah... it really isn't that romance heavy thinking about it, but its still a big part of the drama
there's also another manga called "i hear the sunspots" and it features a hard of hearing love interest too. ive heard that it tackles the subject well and the romance is cute.
I hear the sunspot is so so good especially the third part of the story

It's very very impressive to me that you remember all these books- I read like crazy but cannot recall them when literally anyone asks
I think she memorize them berfore the video and also have a list of the books in front of her somewhere, I doubt she would remember all these books and be able to describe them in such a way otherwise.
Wanted to give recommendations to some of these questions!:
1:32 We Are Okay - Nina LaCour
4:02 Caraval - Stephanie Garber
5:14 History Is All You Left Me - Adam Silvera
6:30 Let It Snow - John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle
13:55 Magisterium by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare
16:45 Habibi - Craig Thomson (maybe?!)
26:43 Howl's Moving Castle - Diana Wynne Jones
36:02 Here The Whole Time - Vitor Martins
39:03 Dream a Little Dream - Kerstin Gier
ah thank you!!!
yesssss! Dream a little dream is SO good! I love everything by Kerstin Gier!

your first specific book recommendations is my comfort video, and now we’re blessed to have TWO!!!
Before I even start watching the video I wanna say how much I love your t shirt!! That is one of my favorite works of art/prints ever. Also, big congratulations on 200k!! I have only been watching you for a little over a year maybe and I am so so so happy I found your channel, it has truly been one of the highlights of 2021 for me, along with reading more books than I ever thought I could. I wanna thank you for the wonderful content you always put out, I have learned so much from you and you have not only inspired me but you’ve also helped me in some stressful moments with your passion for literature and books and your soothing voice. Keep up the amazing work Emma, I know you have a bright future ahead of you🌟 much love and admiration from Italy xx
Oh my goodness!! I've been wanting another one of these videos since the other one you did. I'm shaking I'm so happy!!!!
C.S. Lewis was my literary hero through most of my teens and he's still a favourite. The Narnia books were my childhood, and the Space Trilogy made me think more than almost any other book I've read. Everyone should read them.
Edit: Also holy shit I'm just finishing the video now but the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel is such a good series!
i’m glad to see people that love the space trilogy :D
Yes! C.S. Lewis is an amazing author. I've enjoyed both his fiction and non-fiction. This might be an unpopular opinion but I actually prefer his Space Trilogy over Narnia.
@@brandonatchison4769 They're good for different reasons I think-I much prefer the Space Trilogy now as an adult, but I certainly wouldn't have appreciated it as a kid. They appeal to different appetites I suppose.
@@Cubehead27 I agree. I think I first read Narnia when I was around 11 years old and the Space Trilogy not long after that. Both are probably equally complex and deep but I find myself going back to his Space Trilogy more often.
I absolutely love C. S. Lewis! I just wrote my honours dissertation on Lewis's Space Trilogy!
Love how you post so much content throughout the week even though you probably have a lot of studies to do
OH MY GOD, YASSSSS!!!! I was wondering if you'd make another one of these! I LOVED the first one. Can't wait to watch this one!!!!
Thank you so much for delighting us with the most wonderful content! 😊
Emmie, I want you to know that we all absolutely adore you and appreciate all of the effort you put into making these videos for us! You always have such optimism and you never fail to inspire others! Thank you for the amazing content girl!
On the topic of food, or books including recipes, I have to recommend Laura Esquivel's 'Like water for chocolate', cause I know you're a big fan of magical realism! This book is a gem, a perfect mix of heartache and comfort 💜 lovely as always to watch you Emma!
Yesss!
Yes!
Yes! I was about to comment about this one too
I've never commented on any of your videos but I just need to say this. I've been looking forward to this! Thank you so much for everything, Emma. Your channel has gotten me through some of my worst days this year. Thank you for your videos that are just one click away when anxiety strikes. You are truly special to me. Congratulations on 200k. I love you. ❤
hi! thank you so much for leaving this, made my day
i adored this video! such a clever premise and you being so soft and well spoken about all the books was very comforting for some reason :)
I DIDN’T HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS UNTIL NOW. THANK YOU EMMA
For the food category try out Crying In H Mart; it is a memoir focusing mostly on the author's relationship with her mother, and much of that is translated through their love for Korean food and cuisine
hi emmie! i know there's a possibility you won't be able to see this but i just want to thank you for these "specific" recommendations. it really helps me find what books i'd like to read when im in a certain mood and discovering your recommendations have made my reading experience a bajillion times better. keep it up!
Love everything you do!!! Congratulations for 200k and you make my days a lot better 💕 thank you 💕
Omg I was only rewatching the 100 specific recommendations video yesterday and yearning for one more video like that! ❤️ Congrats on the 200k! 🍾
Hi Em, I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your videos. I put them on in the background when I have a lot of work to do for uni (right now, help.) and I feel a little less like dying. Your voice is so soothing, it makes me feel better. I'm glad you're getting more recognition and subs because you hella deserve them.
And I'll try to get to some of these recs during Christmas brake!
YESSSSS ROUND TWO IT’S BACK 😭😭🕺🕺 and huge congratulations on a well-earned 200k!!! ❤️
Hey Emma, it's my first time commenting here but I just wanted to say thank u, you are the reason why I found my way back to reading and also I felt very motivated to complete my studies in English literature after years of losing my passion ❤️
Thank u, I truly appreciate you ❤️
I am so shocked that you just hit 200k subs! I had assumed based on the quality and frequency of your videos that you were near a million!! I eat up your recommendations every time - thanks for this vid and congrats on the milestone!
I've been waiting for Taylor Swift content from you ever since I subscribed to your channel because of the perfectly cozy theme it has🥺🥺. Loved your recommendations ❤️❤️
The last specific book recommendations was the first video I saw of yours and I loved it so much I instantly subscribed, this was a real treat, thank you 👌
I'm always ready to add things to cart or my TBR list when I watch your book rec vids!
For anyone into fantasy, definitely check out anything by Brandon Sanderson, mainly Mistborn and The Stormlight Archieve
One of the best ever!!!
wonderful video, i could listen to you talking about books forever. and i was so happy to see you mentioning the secrets of the immortal nicholas flamel series, no one ever talks about it, and it is one of my favorite series ever
I’ve taken all of your recommendations from this video as well as from the first one you did with 100 and made myself an “Emmie’s Book Recs Challenge” shelf on Goodreads so I can try to read them all 🙂
Thank you for all of your amazing recommendations, you get so genuinely excited about books that it makes me want to read everything ☺️
I love this 🥺 Can't wait for the next 100 specific book recommendations ♡
Please do more of these! I'm sitting here with my notebook and pen writing down all the books I like! Love your recommendations Emma❤️
Omg I love your part one of this! Can’t wait to watch this now 🤩
What an unbelievably great concept for a video, so many books I never would of thought I would of wanted to read until I saw the recommendation it was answering.
love her recs so much !!
Congrats on 200K, well deserved! I really love these videos - my tbr is bursting at the seams. XO
Everyday I come home after nine hours of school, I get fresh, grab a cup of tea, a blanket and pillows, and spend about an hour with Emma. This is "me time" 😂 and I absolutely love it. And when this video started, I was literally thinking that if I get to participate in Emma's next video of recommendations, I'll definitely ask for books for those who read Harry Potter every year 😂 14:02 and will ya look at that 😂😂😂
Emma, if you're seeing this, I know this wasn't a part of the video, but do you have any recommendations of books that reminded you of Taylor Swift's album Folklore? Or similar vibes to it? It's one of my favorite albums of all time, and it's really hard to find books or stuff that give off similar vibes. Love you 💕
There's something hilarious about saying Dostoevsky would enjoy a young adult anime/story
the last time you made this video was actually how i found your channel! i’ve become obsessed with your videos since so this was lovely to watch
we need more of emmie being a swiftie AND a video of books that remind u of taylor swift songs
Emma! I just wanted to say that I'm incredibly thankful to you for recomending "A Castle in the Clouds", it has now become one of my favourite books ever!! Thank you so much ❤❤❤
feels like it was just yesterday when you dropped your 100k book rec video, so happy for you!! 😩💜
These videos are my favourite of yours! It was soooo fun seeing two of my recommendation requests in your video 🤗 Thank you!!
It really amazes me and blows me away how much memory capacity you have for recommending so many books and being able to explain each and every one of them because damn i can't even remember what i read a minute ago 😭😭😭 thank you for such a lovely vid!
You really have a great handle on literature. I mean, zooming back from 2 years in the future I know this, but each video just really cements it. Nice job, Emma!
For a Book for people who like Twilight I would definitely recommend Interview with the Vampire. It’s not a romance but It focuses a lot more on what it means to be a vampire. I’m reading it right now and it makes me feel just as excited about the whole vampire thing as Twilight did when I was younger. The movie is also great.
I just finished Emmie's recommended Twilight alternative called Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I didn't care for it at all (Just sharing my opinion here in case anyone else has the same experience). Thanks for your recommendation about Interview with a Vampire. I'll let you know if that hits the spot.
My general tbr has just expanded massively, thank you for the recommendations 😄
Your last very specific rec video was the very video that got me into your channel
this is such a great content, emma! this supplies my needs of book recs :")) thank youu so much
I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS MOMENT FOR A LONG TIME THANK YOU QUEEN
Book videos must be the most relaxing and intriguing videos! 😍 That's why I love this video! Found so many good recommendations and now I can't wait to read them. 😍📚

i love listening to you talk about books. don't know how, but you have somehow entered my mental wellness routine. your videos are slowly turning into one of my favorite corners of my "safe place." thanks for sharing your passion.
Deciding to watch this while trying to narrow down my tbr was a mistake. I love these videos though, your videos never fail to make me smile!
I love this idea. all of the vids I've seen for this have been so fun! thanks for sharing your recs!
The fact that you can DO a video like this because you read so many books already is amazing, props to you, I haven’t even seen your channel yet but I feel like I need to subscribe just from you uploading this alone. Thanks
The Golden Compass has been the best find of 2021 for me. Definitely best book for cozy winter nights!
This was so fun to watch, I’m gonna have to watch it again to add some to my tbr!
Your outfits are getting better and better every time we see you😍
for Japanese Lit, the Sea of Fertility series by Yukio Mushima, its incredible! a weird deep dive into a westernised japan, radicalism, sexuality, death and rebirth. Whole heartily recommend
i just came here from watching another one of your videos!! love your channel so much emmie ♡
I am so enjoying your channel, it is giving me the reading bug again!
I lost the video I was watching yesterday, about the review where you mention the 2 separate versions (both novels) of The Phantom of the Operah. I really like you compare and contrast review of those 2! Loved your commentary! Please don't stop. You are so thorough, creative, scholarly, intellectual and above all, kind and noble with your reviews! 🙏🏼💯👏👏👏
Please never stop making this type of videos 😭
yayyy i asked you for the burgundy rec and the bossa nova rec
Omg I can’t believe you’re enjoying For The Wolf. I read it in august and I liked it but I didn’t think you’d love it. Can’t wait for the wrap up!
I love these really specific rec videos😍💗
I love this two video series. From this video alone I added 21 books to my list of possible reads... even though it must be nearing a hundred by now...
for the "moldy" one, paradise rot by jenny hval!! one of my favs i read this year and a super quick read but also totally brilliant

AND CONGRATS FOR THE 200K!! Proud to be one of them
I love this series
Your pick ups of books are also good
Thank you so much for this! You always recommend the best books.
Yayy. I've been waitingg Emmie!
This is me trying to convince you to give us more Taylor Swift based recommendations, it'd be my wildest book dreams come true. I can't wait for enchanted books that will make me feel, happy, free, confused, and maybe even lonely, in the best way. I know all too well that a few sad prose will probably make my tears ricochet, and reading a book that's extremely sad beautiful and tragic is a very treacherous slope, but it probably won't be the last time I begin again the cycle of heartbreak. To make a long story short, it's nothing new. I'm so looking forward to books that make me feel like I'm reading in a cabin by the lakes, wrapped in my cardigan, the floors of a cabin creaking under my step as I watch the wisteria and ivy glisten outside. I will only have closure when this video is released. I'm sure all the recommendations will fill a blank space in my bookworm heart, and stick with me forever and always.
HAPPY RED SEASON!! 🧣I'm not willing to admit how much time I spent on that cheesy mess. Dedication. Please pin this 😩
Yeyy I’ve been waiting for this!!❤️❤️
so nice seeing people care about my country’s history! man Egypt is so good ❤️
For the person who wanted a story revolving around food, try out Ruth Reichl! She was editor of Gourmet magazine and now writes novels. She includes recipes and makes me want to cook.
For this person I'd also recommend XOXO by Axie Oh or for nonfiction Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner
LOL that was me! thankyou!
@@megan-te2bu I would also recommend kitchens of the great midwest... it's about how food affects so many aspects of a person's life and how it connects you to other people
@@megan-te2bu I would also recommend A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by Ursula Vernon. It's a younger YA fantasy about a girl who's magic controls baked goods. Just so funny and cozy and really enjoyable!
@@megan-te2bu this is very late lmao but I would highly recommend With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo, it revolves around a teen mother who takes a cooking class at her high school, it includes recipes and it is a very underrated read. if you read webtoons, I recommend Gourmet Hound
I would love an entire video of nutcracker retellings! Or any winter folklore retellings!
I love this format! Also I‘m looking for a book that feels like a wake up call.
the fit I'm obsessed
I just... I can't believe how many books from a million genres that you've read already at your age. If anybody has a chance to one day have read All The Books, it's you. I'm rooting for you!
You are my comfort RUclipsr. Thank you for doing what you do and being you. 💖
for gothic and romantic/toxic to read while raining i recommend deathless!! beautiful book
