This is will be a new more casual type of tool video I am working on call "Unreviewed" as I focus less on the numbers and more on the hands on experience and meat of actually working with the tools featured. Let me know what you think in the comments, thanks!

    I have the XPH14, 2804, 2904, and 998. The XPH14 is my favorite.

I was looking on seeing how it performs with spade bits and in concrete.

Makita also came out with a subcompact drill which I find very attractive. I think they just need to renew the xph12 it's pretty old and weak compared dewalt 800. Just like they made gfd002

I much prefer the Metabo HPT subcompacts to the Makitas, more powerful and better warranty.

Makita’s subcompact line is good but feels outdated. At this point in time, they are charging a premium fee for what feels like an entry level set of impacts and drills. Makita does weird stuff and it frustrates me at times.

Surprised you didn’t have a 2.0 ah to pop into the Makita hammer drill. Not that it makes it lightweight.
Also surprised to see you utilize the compact metabo HPT. Torque about 100 in lbs higher on team green but i can’t imagine that alone would enough to jump to another platform all together

      I don't even own a 2.0 anymore, the 4s are so cheap.

@@UltimateToolReviews im guessing the 4's are the same size and roughly the same weight as the 5.0? I only mention the 2.0 because of their compact size and weight reduction

Slightly lighter than the 5ahs, buy they have the highest power output of all the batteries.

Does your xph14 have a “clicking noise” when you press the trigger lightly or feather it? Cuz mine does and it annoys me. You think it’s a common issue with the xph14?

Yup, and the XGT hammer drill is even worse.

What do you think is causing the issue? Sounds like the clutch is rubbing against something to me.

    Is XPH14 better than XPH16Z?

I like Toolswithsoalz and his channel. But he ignores any documented results that are different than his, especially compared to very credible channels like The,Torque Test Channel which very frequently puts Makita in the top 2 or 3hin torque. But his videos are still helpful. I just realize that I can't take him seriously in his Makita reviews.

@@jasonhoyt8232 I run Makita tools damn near everyday at work brother. They are superior to most brands in many ways so idk why someone would shit on them but to each their own brother. Definitely going with Makita over Ridgid though😂
