me i have a stucco cinder block home and I've always required a hammer drill. shame they don't do more testing like that. as a homeowner i bought it and am pleased. mainly use it as a hammer drill. i also did get the makita xdt14 impact drill which is awesome. now the 14 hammer drill I've heard has problems so I'll stay away from that one. an yes the upgrade would be the 07 hammer drill because of the power it has. Great video with honest and knowledgeable information. 👍
Great review! I’m new to the world of power tools and this video helped me get smart on the category. I did end up buying this drill in a kit with the Makita XDT13 impact driver and two 5.0 Ah batteries for $299. My needs are “residential home owner” but initially I needed a hammer drill that could bust through a brick/cinder block exterior wall to install an over the range microwave exhaust vent.
Nice! Not a big Makita user but following closely to see how the popular dewalt and Milwaukee model stack up. It’s cool how you compare the models with all the data. Better than the VS videos. You should make all the data available

Great job. Very detailed and you're very knowledgable.
Dude, awesome format. New sub. This is my go to all arounder. Its cheap and pretty solid.
Awesome! thanks!
Love that tool!
Is there a trick to changing the mode from drill to screw to hammer? I can’t get it to budge. Thanks.
No trick, if it won’t budge it maybe stuck may need to press the trigger a couple times or just bump it a little bit and it may come unstuck

You think that batery fully charge is heavier than empty. ....omg
I think density changes for lithium batteries
I don’t think I said that, but that’s cool to know
