    Hello. Chris Konkle here. Just to give you a heads up. If you click on any of the links in my video descriptions or on my website, you will be led to Amazon. I am an associate and will receive a commission on any purchases you make. My goal is to make it easy. For people who do not know what real contractors use for tools, personal protective equipment, equipment, services or any other procured items. Also, easy for experienced trades people by having all the items neatly organized and grouped together for quick and easy purchasing. There are millions of different products available out there. I only promote those that I have either personally used or have fully researched and believe they will deliver value to you.
    It takes a lot of time and money from myself to bring you all the free content. Our message is to master construction and be an industry leader. Then you can train other workers to be quality trades people that value organization and leadership and use problem solving to ensure project success. This message promotes good ethics and practices in both business and work.
    Construction Kronies is affiliated with Amazon.com, Merch by Amazon, Skill Share, SimplyWise, Paltap.io, Streamlabs and Tubebuddy. Please know that I have not received any free product or compensation from any of these companies for mentioning them on my website, in my video descriptions or videos themselves. The only form of compensation that I would receive is if there is a transaction made with those companies and I would receive a commission.
    Thank you for your support.
    Chris Konkle.

    Hey Chris, I'm actually a residential guy, did some commercial fit out when I was younger, but ended up going 100% residential.
    I really just wanted to make a comment on how you interact with all your subscribers.
    I don't think I've ever seen anyone else, take that kind of time, to respond and answer everyone's technical questions.
    I think it's great that you do that good luck with your channel man!!

    How do I frame a door opening stronger when there is a really heavy custom door. Metal stud framing isn't a stong or rigid as typical wood- it's 96" wide door weighs 400 lbs.

      Use 20 gauge studs to double stud both sides and you can build a box beam for the top.

    sup Chris love it man, quality looks amazing as always. so your bulk head above that cooler, could you have added an angle at the bottom of your assembly(9:48) for more stiffness, or would that be overkill?

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  Год назад +1

      Yes 110% we ran out of angle but it's not a must have part. I normally would have tho.

    Are you still making the 16" on center jig on your website

      Well, my partners here in Canada have totally shutdown and don't answer my calls anymore, I sent the last prototype to someone in California but then never heard from him again. I am thinking of making one with the tear square guy here out of an acrylic polymer. We will see. My website should be up within the month.

      @ConstructionKronies I guess they did not sell well as that's why they shut down. And where very expensive as well

    Hey man I have a question in general. When using a straight edge to straighten a stud. Do you put the straight edge in the middle of the stud then clamp your stud then it will all align? Or do you have to put the straight edge in the middle of the stud then towards the top to also check there?

    • @ConstructionKronies
      @ConstructionKronies  Год назад +1

      I think I get what your saying, I always go from bottom track or plate to top track/plate. This is how I set my tracks in cross beams and mark my stud centers in the middle tracks. When straight edge across to make a mark on a wall or something to extend a wall or put a wall stud in that doesn't have top track I go horizontal across the middle of the studs.

    • @shaggyturtles4337
      @shaggyturtles4337 Год назад

      @@ConstructionKronies Yeah for example I had to put a stud at the end to make a corner but the track that forms the corner at the bottom didn’t fully meet each other so I used a straight edge with the previous studs that were on layout so I could line up the stud I was going to put in the corner to make sure it was sticking out at the same length at the others. I just wasn’t sure if I use the straight edge across the middle of the studs and then clamp my stud I need to place against the straight edge so it makes it the same as the others. I was just wondering once I do it that one time will the stud be completely level from bottom to top or do I also have to put the straight edge towards the top and check it there as well?

    • @shaggyturtles4337
      @shaggyturtles4337 Год назад

      I also forgot to mention just like the bottom track the top track didn’t meet either
