Is this your preferred method for doing ceilings?
Could you have used tracks and studs instead?
Yes it is my preferred way but we use studs and track too. It's cheaper to use the angle and furring bar so on a big job with lots of ceilings you will see a big cost savings. Sometimes it's just easier to order all studs and track for a job with only a few ceilings. This system is easier to brace. For large ceilings always use this method and put bracing runs every 4' and hanger wire every 4' so your braced in 4'x4' sections.

I have a question to share opinions , if you do a 650 grid ceiling. 50’ by 5’ and you use main beam Armstrong each 16 “ do you use wair hangers ?
I would right down the middle add hanger wire. Usually every 4'x4' Sq area would have hangers.
What gauge angle and hat track are you using?

why does the sound keep cutting out.
There was a guy there who thought I was talking to him and kept talking himself so I cut him out. That's all. If I could've added anything i would say for bigger ceilings, copy the brace run every 4' and use hanger wire or kickers every 4' as well.
