You realize how expensive his festool collection is let alone that bandsaw? And here in America when you make content with ryobi or anything else besides festool you are considered a joke even if you out work the festool Boyz.

I know the pain with the router. Mine slipped, and dug into a piece I was using as a lid for outdoor furniture/storage combined. Internally cried. Flipped the lid over, turned the dig-out into a spot for the hinge, can't see it, no worries. Sweet build mate. New Sub.

@JesperMakes Thanks for your reply. That fellow created many custom tables for commercial use and other wall art that was amazing. I hit a jackpot, for sure! I bought a couple of old metal advertising signs from him that will go nice in a rustic wooden frame. I bought other tools and clamps as well. Can't have too many clamps!!

I am just getting into making cutting boards. I am not making you tube videos. I am making them to make some money (hopefully). I have invested in the parts to make a linear rail router sled. What a game changer Jesper. I bought a new Skil plunge router to be used on this sled. still waiting on the bit extention to get here on Wed. If you decide to invest into building a linear rail sled make sure you buy some of the locking collars. This way you can use them as stops for the router sled and limit how far it will travel, great for doing juice grooves

I’m late to the game, but here’s a couple questions. I thought it’s not good to use epoxy for cutting boards as the epoxy isn’t food safe? I also thought it’s not good to use pallet wood for anything food related as we dont know what kind of chemicals the pallet wood has come in contact with over its lifespan.

That juice groove got a little wonky. What I've done in the past when that happens to me is just widen the groove towards the center of the board by making the spacers in the jig narrower. But honestly I love the cutting board. It's huge, definitely unique! Love it!
Well jesper you should have won that competition technicality that your not in the UK. A mean your not that far away. Noticed u mentioned avs woodworking another one to check out is homemade in liviv dunno if you've come across him but he does same kinda stuff with rounds of wood and peice togethers nick (the guy) is amazing at what he does and is in Ukraine right now aswell and still making videos so my hats off him for that aswell. 🏴👏👍
I'm also a big fan of Homemade in Lviv, i do chat with Nick from time to time. He makes awesome stuff, I'm so happy the situation in their country in moving in a better direction.

Would taping the joint between the base and sides of the epoxy mould help reduce the risk of leakage. I've seen lots of makers taping the inside of moulds but have never seen anyone taping the joints one the outsiders

@@JesperMakes I can imagine that. But i guess that is the reason it is do genius. Also like the humour and the editing. I don't know what exactly, i bought a hammer drill and looking for doing something with it, i thought to start from making and installing shelves in the house and ill see how it goes. I'll also need to invest some more money in tools.

I am just getting into making cutting boards. I am not making you tube videos. I am making them to make some money (hopefully). I have invested in the parts to make a linear rail router sled. What a game changer Jesper. I bought a new Skil plunge router to be used on this sled. still waiting on the bit extention to get here on Wed. If you decide to invest into building a linear rail sled make sure you buy some of the locking collars. This way you can use them as stops for the router sled and limit how far it will travel, great for doing juice grooves

I’m late to the game, but here’s a couple questions.
I thought it’s not good to use epoxy for cutting boards as the epoxy isn’t food safe?
I also thought it’s not good to use pallet wood for anything food related as we dont know what kind of chemicals the pallet wood has come in contact with over its lifespan.
And please: wear a mask to protect your lungs from that epoxy dust!!!
By the way, the table you mentioned at the beginning of this video, made of pallet blocks, I love it! I'd love to make one like it one day.

That juice groove got a little wonky. What I've done in the past when that happens to me is just widen the groove towards the center of the board by making the spacers in the jig narrower. But honestly I love the cutting board. It's huge, definitely unique! Love it!

Well jesper you should have won that competition technicality that your not in the UK. A mean your not that far away. Noticed u mentioned avs woodworking another one to check out is homemade in liviv dunno if you've come across him but he does same kinda stuff with rounds of wood and peice togethers nick (the guy) is amazing at what he does and is in Ukraine right now aswell and still making videos so my hats off him for that aswell. 🏴👏👍
I'm also a big fan of Homemade in Lviv, i do chat with Nick from time to time. He makes awesome stuff, I'm so happy the situation in their country in moving in a better direction.

Would taping the joint between the base and sides of the epoxy mould help reduce the risk of leakage. I've seen lots of makers taping the inside of moulds but have never seen anyone taping the joints one the outsiders
Could work, but a good chalking job will make it airtight
