- In this video I'm making a coffe table from a rotten log, some epoxy resin and some rusty hardware I found inside a cable spool. I (I try to) sell it on Etsy.

The story in this video is based on true events, but the elderly woman is not my actual mother. My mother did not buy the table, somebody else did, but I found it to be very funny to have an ending where I pretended she did.
I did sell it for 3500 DKK on Etsy. That's about 470 euros or 482 USD.

I'm not affililated with any of the toolbrands I'm using in this video. Nobody paid me so say anything. However, I do like to support other creators, and often buy their merch.
In this video I'm often wearing shirts and drinking from a cup from DIY For Knuckeheads. Shane Conlan is an Australian creator, and he was very kind to be a part of my video "The Knuckleheads reclaimed wood workbench." I owe him a lot. Go check him out at jespermakes.com/diyforknuckle...
I do owe thanks to a lot of creators, I will try my best to feature you somehow in future videos. The way I like to feature other creators is by making some sort of cameo that's relevant for the video I'm making, so I'm sorry if you send me your sticker hoping to get a shout-out. It could be a while before the right opportunity shows up for me.
Thank you all creators and people watching and commenting on my videos. I read all comments and will answer all. I learn a lot from the comments and will do my best to mention who gave me the good advice in future videos. Thank you.

Thanks!
Jesper, you are such an incredible story teller. Congratulations on the sale!!!! Love your videos!!!
Thanks, you're too kind!
That was honestly brilliant. The table is good too and I appreciated a few tips; really appreciate you including the fails - it makes the rest of us feel better about our stupid mistakes!
Exceptional story, well told - keep it up!
Legend! Thank you Michael, appreciate it!
You feel better he included the fails? Haha the whole thing is a fail!
@@Maxime-ho9iv but the fail made a funny video they say 🤣🤣
I just so love this guys humour, so glad the table sold, hope mama wasn’t so sad about it🫣😉🤣🤣🤣
Ah, humour? This is a normal day in my workshop...!!
Absolutely loved it. I really like the collaboration you do with other people and not afraid of showing what did not work well. Keep doing Jesper, you have a new fan here. :)
So glad!
@@JesperMakes I'm a new Sub and haven't watched all of your videos yet, but I hope Paul Jackman is found somewhere in your videos :D
Fantastic!!! That's all I have to say!
I have been watching a lot of your videos during these months of not being able to move my body properly. And I realized that I wanted to make a video Jesper style!!
Collaborating with makers from different countries was my dream. You are really amazing. Respect! from the bottom of my heart.
And now I want to try voice-over for the first time, so I bought Condenser microphone and I'm using my two-hour commute by bicycle to and from my welding job to practice my English pronunciation and read aloud the scripts I created for the next-next video.
Sorry for my long story. Anyway I just wanted to say congratulations and that I look forward to the next one!✊
Hey Jumpei, hope you're doing better. It's so good to hear from you. I think it sounds awesome that you will be making voiceover on your videos. I was afraid what people might think about my accent, but hey, this is RUclips, to stand out is a good thing. Let me know if I can do anything. Cheers from your friend in Denmark
I commend you for continuing the project after the resin mix up! Oh my gosh I can’t imagine what a massive cleanup that must have been. Thank you for your videos. The woodworking, the editing, the humour….. Your creativity is inspiring and appreciated
Thank you so much!
I love how you got Bourbon Moth and other guys involved....whole video made me laugh and I'm glad it sold in the end!
I'm so happy I could entertain a little.
This is gold, your craftsmanship and your editing skills.
I am glad i found your channel 🪛🗜🪚
Thank you so much!!
I am having a hard time deciding if this video is more informative or more entertaining ! It was both for sure ! Your humble scene was great and the table is absolutely beautiful.
Thanks a lot mate, love your feedback. Cheers from Denmark
Man I love your videos!… it’s literally like watching a movie every time !! The ending was brilliant too btw!! Hats off to you sir!
Thanks, I do enjoy making the videos, so if someone enjoyed watching I consider it a bonus
Amazing video and story. Love the table and the painstaking work involved. Thanks for the inspiration to think outside the box with my own wood projects.
You are so welcome! Best of luck with your own builds..
This was an awesome video. Thank you. You are funny, you showed your mistakes, you've got some good people helping you with the video and a wonderful mother.
Ha! Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found my mistakes amusing. As for my helpers and mother, well, they really had no choice in the matter. I'm just that charming and irresistible. (Just kidding, I appreciate their help and support!) Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment. It always brightens my day to hear from people who watches my stuff.
I have to admit, I have just watched 2 of your videos in a row, and after each one, I have been giggling like a school kid. Your customers backing out on their purchase of the other table must have been a bummer. And this one being purchased by your Mom is so cool. I love your videos, your commentary, and mostly the things you create. Keep up the great Viking tradition!!
You’ve got my subscription after only two videos watched 😂
May be the funniest wooden DIY channel I met!😂😂
Thanks a lot for your sense of humor, Jesper!

Nice, that was quick. Thanks for letting me know Rafa.

What sarcasm are you referring to mate 😂😂 ?? oh, thanks mate, I really appreciate it!
Jesper......this was awesome. Every aspect of your video. Thank you for what you do. By the way, I made my first of many log benches this past week thanks to you. It turned out great. Keep up the he great work.
That is awesome! My log benches are still doing great despite the fact I made them from green poplar.
Dude that was great! I’ve never been so invested in the outcome of a video and the reveal at the end??? PRICELESS
I really enjoyed this
Wow, thanks! So glad to hear that. Do you make videos?
@@JesperMakes yessir! Not as good as yours by any stretch though lol
I love the content man! I've recently started gathering some pallet wood to make a coffee table (before I first saw your channel) and when I saw your video I was astonished. I got inspiration to further help my project and I'm looking forward to making something awesome.
When I got your video recommended and I saw the channel name I laughed out loud as we share the same first name!
Looking forward to more video's.

Hello name brother, so glad we met. Go make sometihng awesome.
Excellent video mate, the work, editing and story itself all top notch. Subscribed. The ending was one of the funniest conclusions I’ve seen on RUclips.
Much appreciated!
Fantastic video, can tell alot of work has been put into the video and the coffee table, love your work pal.
Glad you enjoyed it
holy cow, the voice overs and your admissions of mistakes have made me a fan of your channel and a sub. Well done sir, I will keep watching your channel for advice on all my projects.

You make the BEST videos on YoutTube by far! Great narration, editing, story, and everyone learns so much. Amazing work.
Thanks 🙏
Loved it all the way...the cameos...the voice over telling it as a tale...the music...the way you approached things...so much fun...thanks!!!!

I feel your pain. My best friend bought the first thing I posted in my Etsy. Cool table with even cooler legs!

I hope with all my heart Joseph watches this haha! Great video again man, hope your mum loves her new coffee table!
Haven't heard from Joseph yet...
Fantastic Punch Line!
I'm so happy Mom loves you. Excellent build too.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Jesper. I hope you continue to make more content like this. Production quality is top notch. Dry humour is subtle and well executed (It takes a lot of intelligence to pull this off). It is a real pleasure to watch a video that has been meticulously put together, specially when compared to 99% of the garbage that people haphazardly throw together and post on RUclips. You have real talent and I am excited to see where your channel goes. Tak!
Selv tak! I'm so happy for this comment Ty, and I'll continue to make stuff and videos - It's really just me having fun doing stuff. Cheers mate
Cookies and biscuits - good thing I watched this while eating breakfast, otherwise I would have gotten way of a craving. 😁 Great storytelling, and what a twist!
Epoxy seems like a hassle, I think I'll stay clear of it for as long as I'm able....
It's also rather expensive, so yes, stay off as long as you can
Ugliest thing? Neither one comes even close! Love that flattening bit. Your face must have been awfully sticky after that stunt with the sparking wine. Great vid Jesper, very enjoyable. Three to one, three to one, three to one. Gotta' write that down somewhere...
Hi Mark, yeah I'll never forget 3:1 now! Spaypaint it on your wall somewhere, or just call @turgworks if in doubt! Thanks for being here mate!
Amazing- thanks for the great content and beautiful work
You're welcome 😁😁
Jasper, your table is great, well done. Your humour and humility are really what makes your videos worth watching....priceless!😂
Wow, thank you!
Just here, waiting for Joseph to comment
Me too 😂
One of the greatest. I watch this one to feel better from time to time.
Glad I can be of service mate! Another wrote "This brought me back from a very dark place.." and that also made me very happy!
Actually lol'd at the end there! Fantastic video!
I have subbed and look forward to watching more of your content Jesper...

Jesper, I love your videos. You have come so far in both woodworking and videoproduction. You can be mighty proud of yourself. What you have done and are doing is inspiring and entertaining, because you make such unpredictable products. It is rather exciting to watch how they turn out! Some of them could even have been made by your ancestors 1200 years ago... keep at it!
Thanks Anne!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I loved this video. You are so funny and I love how you have guest appearances from other wood worker's. I also love that every video I have seen so far has mentioned your mum, you wife and even your mother in law. You know who the most important people are who you need to impress. Awesome work too. Its so unique and stylish! A great channel!

In a world of mundane RUclips videos, It's fun and refreshing to find your very unique video. Happy to have came across your channel. You are a natural comedian/artist. Wish you all the best.
Thank you very much, I'm so happy to hear that. It looks like you're doing well on RUclips also - what are your channel about?
So I just closed youtube and a load of tabs, because I have been binge watching your videos and it's time to go to bed! I said to myself well now I have to stop watching these woodworking videos and if I'm going to relax - try to watch a nice movie or something. Then I said well, that was like a pile of little movies I just watched - humour, talent, entertaining and great soundtracks! Absolutely brilliant! ... So I logged back in to tell you what I had said to myself lol! x
You're the best!
Man, I love your videos. They are very inspiring and fun. Best wishes.
Legend! Thank you Gilsão, appreciate it!
I accidently found your channel. I'm so glad I did. I love seeing the work you do plus the mistakes. After my surgery I plan on doing some of what you're doing as a hobby. I used to do woodworking as a kid and now that I have a ton of time on my hands I want to get back into it. I absolutely loved how you kept the mistakes you made in the video. I value that as a teaching tool. Anyhow, I loved the video and I really loved the humor as well. Great job and now time to check out more of your videos. I subbed the moment you made me laugh. Thanks man! I'll definitely be looking forward to more.

Classic ending ! Didn’t see it coming, Laughed so hard, almost spilt my coffee. Cheers.
Thanks 😃
honestly i have never watched a vid on the internet and enjoyed it this much in my life, well other then corn but that comes with regrets after so truly you deserve every follower you have and much much more watching your vids is amazing cuz it brings you back the real world of wood working where me make suns of very expensive mistakes like (ruining a band saw blade cuz there was a nail in the wood and then trying with the table saw and also dulling the blade and being confused what exactly is wrong until cutting it with the jig saw also ruining that blade only to notice there is a nail and a bullet in your "free" pallet wood) much love dude love your vids
Thanks, I really appreciate your comment on my channel mate. Best of luck with your own projects. Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰

Sir, just found your channel. First and foremost, thank you for talking. I HATE silent videos. The "Dukes of Hazard" story telling asides were hilarious. The other builder RUclips guest appearances (especially Bourbon Moth) were brilliant and hilarious. I love self-deprecating humor and showing that we all make mistakes (It doesn't all go swimmingly smooth). And the end scene with the champagne bottle and the axe, I about lost it. I'm not only a subscriber now, but I'm a fan, so thank you. Will definitely be watching more!
Very nice man! Thank you for all the cool ideas
