This is the true story of how I got started as a woodworker and youtuber. I really didn’t touch any tools before 2019, and I really got started in 2020. And no, I didn’t have any experience filming and editing before the summer of 2020, where I filmed my first video (Garden table made from a pallet).
I also owe big thanks to @jimmydiresta , @PatLap, @JackmanWorksand @turgworks4138 for always getting back to me when I ask them stupid questions.
I'm an ambassador for @rubiomonocoatscandinavia (Denmark). I'm not paid so say anything, but obviously I wouldn't become an ambassador if I didn't absolutely love their wood finishes.
I have been able to get a good amount of tools in my shop over the last year. I’m not a full time woodworker, and because I also have another job that supports my cost of living, I’m able to put everything I make from the woodworking back as investments in tools in my shop. It has been all hard work, but you’re welcome to make a comment about how fortunate I am to have a shop full of woodworking tools that magically have appeared overnight. But just know that I take care of a dayjob, work in the workshop in the evenings and edit videos for RUclips many nights.

Jesper mate, your personality and story telling really bring your videos to life. That's why we love you :)
I appreciate that!
the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
Yes
I have a friend that has passed away. he was big on making pallet projects and they were cool, well he got me hooked. long story short, your channel is awesome. And now im hooked on you channel. You have a big Fan now.. thank you. 😊
Sorry to hear about your friend, but I'm glad you're carrying on the passion for pallet projects. Sometimes the craft and a good channel can be a comforting friend. Coffee's on me, virtually speaking! ☕
Stop watching the news and go outside; a great prescription for all of us. Spent 10 days in Koge in the summer of 2008 working on the Logos Hope, a missionary ship belonging to OM Ships. Had a chance to spend some leisure time in Copenhagen. Beautiful country loaded with history but the most expensive place I have ever been. Love your work Jesper. Darlington, South Carolina USA
Hi, yeah it's a pretty expensive place here, still is. Great to hear your story. Take care
Jesper is living proof that there is nothing rotten in Denmark.
😂
This was awesome, man! So glad I could be a part of this. I’m sad that the storm stole your tree, but you definitely loosened it.
Thanks for being part of the video Morley, and I got my tree back, it was just a little more work 😀
I'm a descendant of Denmark. And seeing your videos not only has great entertainment value, but seeing the countryside certainly makes it encouraging to return there. You live in a beautiful area
Great to hear from you. Yeah I like it here, but actually I think I would love it in the outback of Canada or Alaska too. Or New Zealand. Where are you located?
Storyteller turns biographer. Jesper, 100K is well deserved because your work is interesting and different and so carefully documented and thoughtfully narrated. To know and understand a little more of how much hard work you have put in to get to where you are is very precious. You are functioning in a still uncharted space; a place where anyone in the world can have opinions about what you do, where likes and views are actually your physical bread and butter, where your fame is fragile and ephemeral. Where your work includes bearing the invisible burden of generating subscribers, let alone editing video and charging batteries and then actually making things. It is an inspirational story, one of sharing and reclaiming, one of risk taking and of joy. Thank you for what you do. May the gods of the sawdust continue to inspire and grow you and the many others that you reach.
Wow, your comment is truly a work of art! Your words perfectly capture the ups and downs of being a content creator on RUclips. The fact that you took the time to understand the hard work and effort that goes into creating videos is truly appreciated. I can definitely relate to the idea of functioning in an uncharted space, where likes and views are the equivalent of bread and butter. It's a wild ride, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to share my passions and inspire others through my work.
The mention of the "gods of sawdust" made me laugh, and I couldn't agree more. May the creative juices continue to flow and inspire us all! Thank you for your support and for being a valuable member of my community. I'm thrilled to have you along for the journey.
Couldn’t have that better myself!😮👏
I have had a wonderful maker communication with your channel over the last year that has been a treasure for me.
I am grinning as I watch this video and reminisce about my memories with Jesper.
When I was hospitalized with an injury and feeling down, or
when I was struggling with the activity of making a video, Jesper was always there to cheer me up and give me a gentle push, you are irreplaceable.
So I am as happy for your achievement as I am for mine.
I say again...!!
100,000 subscribers, Congratulations!!!🎉🎉

Only just came across your channel and subscribed. After all, can't argue with a guy who is smart enough to know coffee solves everything.
Yeah, never argue with a guy high on caffeine 😂
Go do your own stuff.... Words to live by.
I'm not sure when I subbed, but the story is what always sells it for me, as well as inspiration. You're definitely one of the big influences on my own woodworking hobby.

Love you Jesper, keep going! You rock! I like your unique style, your sense of humor. Congrats on 100k subscribers! Post little bit more often! I envy you how quickly you were able to buy all the tools. From almost hand tools in one vid to using a Shaper Origin almost in the very next one. Great journey, great inspirational story! Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your story! Also, I was inspired by the way you filled in your shop ceiling. I've been struggling to figure out a way that I could do it by myself at my age with my limitations. You made it seem doable, and I'm going to try it.👏
Thanks Jesper!

Came across your channel yesterday and subscribed straight away. Love your storytelling. The "Go do your own stuff" at the end rally resonated with me and even gave me goosebumps because I quit corporate job in early 2022 to launch an entirely new career making things with my hands. Best decision ever made! Good luck with your channel mate!
Good luck with your new career mate!
Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Keep making. God bless.
Thanks, you too!
That was a cinematic treat Jesper! It’s always exciting seeing where people came from and the journey to where they are now. Between you and Dainer, I think I’m amply motivated to start filming and editing again, I’ve got myself a new camera and want to throw my content in the ring soon too! Keep up the great work mate

So happy to hear you have reached far, i always love when i see your uploads. keep it up Jesper .. it makes me smile when i hear your Danglish, and it helps me in my day here .. Greetings from a fellow Dane living in Indonesia.
Yeah Danglish at it's best. Thanks for watching fellow dane!
What an awesome video! Totally pumped me up to just make something.
Best comment anyone could write. Thanks bro 😀
You are an inspiration! Keep going! This is the way!
I have no plans to do otherwise 😃
You're such a huge inspiration to me and my woodworking I do at home. I've built many things, from my wife's computer desk, to shelving in my laundry room, signage for my favorite sports team, and cutting boards for friends and family. I haven't earned a ton of money with my projects as most of them have been for myself, but I feel more and more confident that I can do anything I put my mind to. So I say, "Thank you, Jesper. Keep making your videos, we as a community appreciate them so much."
Hi Ryan, thank you so much for your comment. I think you build more than I do, so happy to hear from another woodworker. Cheers from Denmark 🇩🇰🇩🇰
You seem like such a nice guy and the honesty and hard work in your videos makes you unique.
You are an inspiration to me and one day soon I want to start my own RUclips journey.
You can do that Steve, and let me know if I can do anything for you in that regard. Cheers mate
Great projects, wonderful job on the editing of your videos. live in PA great ideals for projects also. keep up the great work!
Hey Frank, thanks for the compliments!
Like the previous personal who commented, I also just stumbled across your channel and it's a breath of fresh air. Long may you continue to mak these videos and amazing projects too. Awesome stuff.
Thank you so much!
I can relate so much to this. I only started wood working and refinishing furniture a couple years ago. Then my kids thought I was nuts to start filming my projects and getting them on RUclips. It’s so much work, it’s like I have multiple full time jobs. I rarely rest and when I do my brain has a hard time shutting off. I really enjoy your videos and am glad I found you. 🥰
Yeah RUclips is a real job you'll need to prioritize. Thanks for making such a nice comment.
Amazing story. Thank you, Jasper.
Thanks 🙏
Keep that great content coming, absolutely inspiring!
Thanks 🙏
Excellent thinking. Efficient use of resources at hand. Can do attitude. Great video. You gave me a few ideas. Keep up the good work.
Good to hear. Cheers mate
I'm glad I found your channel. I've been doing research on simple wood builds with pallet wood and other cheap wood types. Your work gave me great insight on how to begin. Thank you, sir
Glad I could help! Let me know if there's anything else I can do mate!
Thanks for this video - you are an inspiration to those of us that aren't as far along in the process as you are.
You can do it! Thanks for watching!
I started following you a while ago, when you were first starting to make stuff (I had another channel back then). I've loved seeing your progress and growth. Congratulations mate. You've done very well.
Thanks Tony!
Great to hear your story, although I can speak with pride to say I was there as you hit 1000! There's no two ways about it, we're all here to see you continue your amazing journey! Happy new year mate!
I can confirm that you have been an subscriber forever Sam! Thank you so much for the interesting comments, and also for the content on your own channel. You'll have to rename it soon, because it's far from boring!
Love your story. Very inspiring. Good for you!
Thank you so much!
So happy for you! You are one of my favorites, Jesper! Your projects are amazing and your videos are top notch! Next goal... 1 million subs by Jan2024!
Fingers crossed! 😱
Love the channel. Your content might be (a bit) rough around the edges, but it feels incredibly genuine and you can see the love you put into it.
Rough around the edges? 😁 I do my best smoothing things out, but I guess a bit of edge is a good thing 🤠. Take care mate
Always nice videos, with a great sence of humor! Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I always enjoy your videos. Don’t stop. Love from Canada
Not stopping at all. This is too much fun 😉
This video popped up thanks to the RUclips algorithms. I'm totally new to your channel, I guess. Thanks for the amazing video. It was worth watching every second of it.
I'm now curious to watch some of your other videos. Greetings from Slovakia
Thanks Hans, so happy to hear that. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers, Jesper
Love it, love your videos :)
Well done on 100K ... and making me smile
Thanks so much!
Jesper......this is incredible. I loved your videos from the first time I saw them. You are authentic and that comes through in every video you make. The humor you inject is hilarious as well and the projects motivate me to build stuff and just get moving. I love how you ended this video with "You don't need anyone's permission". Keep it up brother and love to you and your family.
Thanks man, much appreciated.
I really love your work , and I'm inspired by your videos 😍, I'm trying to copy everything you do , thanks for sharing and i hope you get much as your kindness.
You are so welcome! Let me know if I can help with anything.
An inspiration my friend. A big Hello and Thank You from Hawk Point, Missouri!
Hello Missouri! Great to hear from you.
This is a great video to watch over morning coffee. Set's the day right to start off with a good story.
Hope you had a good day, and thanks for the watch
What an amazing story and video. Thank you for sharing. I JUST started dabbling a little bit in woodworking but I am nervous my stuff won't be "good enough"
It's more than good enough...!
Wow..congratulations! That's a very nice milestone 👍
Thanks my friend 😊
