I absolutely loved your video! I'm just starting out with wood-making. I’m a 72-year-young lady living off the grid in the Arizona mountains.I'm piecing together my workshop with minimal tools and relying solely on RUclips tutorials for knowledge. Your story really got me pumped up and I couldn't stop laughing at your hilarious jokes and creative ideas. Can't wait to see more of your videos! I'm a pretty creative person myself, always thinking outside the box and eager to learn new things. People may say not to use pallets, but hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, right? It's scorching hot here in the desert mountains at the moment, but as the weather cools down, I'll be diving into my pallet projects and creating some wild stuff. I've dabbled in resin and small projects too, and seeing you make mistakes just like I have reassured me that it's all part of the process. Living on a tight budget as you age and retire really pushes you to get creative. Thanks a bunch for sharing your video - it was awesome! Like I mentioned earlier, you're inspiring me and I'm itching to grab my tools and get started. Sending you peace, love, joy, kindness, and light. Mel🦋

Seems like that Scandinavian spirit of craftsmanship and ingenuity runs deep in both of us, doesn't it? 😄 I'd be thrilled to learn about some of your blacksmith projects sometime. Let's keep the passion for crafting alive, no matter the material we work with. Stay tuned for more adventures, and keep on forging awesome stuff in your corner too! Got a favorite project you've worked on? Cheers!
in my younger days I was a pipeline welder by trade. I have much respect for those that can shape steel to the will. someday I plan to incorporate steel into my woodworking projects.
That's awesome to hear, Kleve! Pipeline welding is no small feat; it takes some serious skill. Merging steel and wood in a project can create a unique blend of textures and aesthetics. Keep those creative gears turning! 🛠️☕ #CoffeeSolvesEverything

Wow. I stopped the video at 4:35 because I was simply overwhelmed by the idea of the cable drum. I love exactly things like that.A Zimmermann from Germany.
Stopping a video for a "wow moment" - now that's a compliment! Glad the cable drum idea hit you like that. What's the most "wow" project you've tackled, Zimmermann?
@@JesperMakes"Zimmermann" The German profession of - in English - carpenter. Specializing in roof trusses, stairs and also wooden houses. Less or not at all for furniture. So anything that is built with heavy wood, hence my fable for rustic furniture.Would like more of it!
Ignore those people who slate your work and channel. They just feel threatened by you because you’re willing to try something new, when they’re stuck in the past and doing the same old crap. This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen, and I’m horrified at how many other RUclipsrs are willing to slate you at the drop of a hat. Keep doing what you’re doing, “most” of us enjoy it. 👍
Thank you for this video! I started woodworking 3 months ago. My woodshop is in my extra bedroom - and it's carpeted. Ugh. I vacuum A LOT. But, it's the only place I can use my miter saw, table saw, sanders, etc., without annoying the neighbors with the noise, every day, for most of the day. =) Love your story, and thanks for the laughs! I hope you get to 1 million subscribers, I came across your videos a few days ago and I have been hooked on watching all of them. I absolutely love woodworking. I grew up watching my dad and grandfather building stuff from scrap wood and always loved the thought of creating furniture or anything from wood. I started using tools to build wooden fences at 16 but I later ended up becoming an electrician in my mid 20's and now I do electrical and telecom work but for the last 3-4 years, on my free time I try to build all of my furniture out of scrap pallets that I get from work. I love it I've been saving for my track saw and other wood tools, and one day I wish I could finally get to your and other woodworker's level of expertise that I see on RUclips. I am truly inspired by your story and it has sparked a fire in my soul that I could possibly make a wish and a dream become a reality and one day I could become such a woodworker like the rest of you in this community of woodworkers. I look forward to the ongoing inspiration that you deliver.
Joseph, your message is incredibly inspiring! Thank you. I believe in you, and I know you'll reach your woodworking goals. Keep at it, and who knows, I might be watching your videos one day!
I love your videos, the music and the humor that makes you unique. And your beautiful woodworking style and that you make them with wood that is thrown out to burn. Making it gorgeous and useful.
This is the first time seeing Jesper’s channel and like his sense of humor, although it’s a bit tame for my taste, but that’s probably a good reason why I don’t have my own RUclips channel. His entrepreneurial spirit is very inspirational and hope they find a talent to feed and grow to follow a similar path. Too many channels out there in the DIY universe without humor. There’s no reason we can’t laugh while we learn and nine out of 10 woodworkers agree that humor helps you retain knowledge.
Glad you appreciate the vibe! Who's that 1 out of 10 woodworker who doesn't like humor? Must be a real buzzkill, huh? Got a woodworking project in mind?

Mel🦋
I'm not a woodworker, I'm a blacksmith but I couldn't help but watch this entire video. It's nice to see someone who works the way I do. Maybe it's because we are Scandinavian. Anyways I'm happy to subscribe, keep up the good work jasper.👍
Hey there, thank you so much for the subscribe, Johnny! It's pretty cool to hear from a fellow craftsman from a different field.
2:48:10 Awesome 🌟. I’m a 75 year old woman who lives in southern France. In my “golden” years I’ve taken to watching people doing things rather than doing them myself 🥴🤷🏼♀️. your video is a delight, the imagination, the work, the humour. More please 🙂👏🏻

I'm so enjoying in your woodworking and the simplicity of it. It's really truly being self-reliant.
Thank you! There’s something deeply satisfying about working with your hands and being self-reliant, isn't there?
@@JesperMakes yes there is .
Ah, got it! Roof trusses and wooden houses sound like some heavy-duty woodworking. Rustic furniture would be right up your alley then.
Couldn’t stop watching! The mark of a good craftsman is fixing things when it goes wrong. Brilliant
The reason why I click on those videos is just to see the follow thru and flow of the end result and oh boy they didn't disappoint.Keep it up!!
Liked and subscribed!
Carpeted woodshop? That's dedication! Thanks for watching and subscribing! ☕️

And you are funny; it's really cool how you insert clips from your RUclips celebrity buddies into your content as well - creative & fun!. Thanks so much Jasper! One of the most inspiring stories on youtube while still staying so down to earth and humble. Wonderful.
Thanks a ton! Staying grounded and true to myself while sharing my journey is really important to me. I'm thrilled to hear that it resonates with you. Remember, a good dose of humility, paired with a hot cup of coffee, can solve everything! What part of my story did you find the most inspiring?

Cheers from Denmark to South Africa! 🇩🇰 What's the woodworking scene like down there?
@@JesperMakes Alive and well, I know a few men who do wood work. But in the Cape province there are a lot of furniture makers, because of the forests nearby. But here were I live forests are few and far between. Wood is very expensive. Even the humble pine. I'll probably be corrected by someone who is a maker! But hey I just love to watch people make beautiful stuff, furniture, houses etc. I have a few hobbies watercolour painting, sewing. Boring things to other people 😂

Absolutely loved your video. It must be the longest RUclips video I have ever watched but so worth it!
Glad you stuck around for the whole ride, Steve! What was your favorite part?
I think the big Viking table!
Mmmh good choice!
The difference between a good wood worker and a bad woodworker is a good woodworker can hide his mistakes 🤠👍
Haha, you're spot on! Mistakes just add character, right? Ever turned a goof into a feature?
And a great woodworker makes mistakes look like they were intentional!
and make those mistakes beautiful. you did an excellent job on that
