This video is powerful. I think mental health is so much more important than physical health because you need to be mentally stable in order to be physically in shape. Your body is an extension of your mind. Start slowly, work on one thing you do not like about yourself. Pick one bad habit and create a new habit to override that old habit. Try starting to eat better, focus on one meal a day. Consistency is key, awareness plays a huge part too. If you do this for 6 months, your life will be in a much better place. Stay healthy everyone!

Hi, guys! Send you much love and would like to share with you what I’ve studied about anger. Anger, aggression or spite develop themselves when we carry resentment, pain (emotional) or fear. Especially if this emotions are suppressed or we are not aware of them. You can observe which topic or situation awakens it most and investigate how you relate to it. Maybe something is there which reminds you about a negative or traumatic experience from the past or childhood… externals are mostly triggers….❤

This is so beautiful and painful to hear at the same time. Access to food is such a privilege and so many of us don’t have the resources to be able to afford the amount of food described on this episode. And I’m speaking as a middle class person, who can afford to live in a home with heating and electricity monthly but runs out of money for food often and relies on a food bank to help fill the gaps. At the same time, I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who would gladly switch places with me.

There's one thing that I find really important that I think it was not mentioned... stay hydrated! You can survive several days without food but not without water! I think that having the habit of drinking water frequently during the day is as important as removing ultra processed food from your diet. Thank you so much for this enlightening episode!

Fasting is really great if your already leaner, if a person Is overweight this doesn't work as good because the body doesn't know what to do if heavier the best thing is to lift weights and ease into it. Not eating until 11:00 am or 12:00 pm every day will make a difference but ultimately the more processed the things we eat the more it won't matter what we do the more wholesome the more garuantee of losing weight

Jay, your invitation to Dr. Shah on the podcast brought the most influential and life-changing insights for my family. Eliminating processed foods and managing glucose transformed my 80-year-old mother's diabetes and reversed prediabetes in my siblings. We weren't unhealthy, just misled by calorie counting and a low-fat diet loaded with sugar. I urge everyone to watch "That Sugar," a decade-old documentary challenging perceptions of "healthy." Your remarkable work, Jay and Dr. Shah, merits immense gratitude!

I take pea protein everyday. I am not plant based but I find it tastes better (no taste) and also doesnt upset my stomach. I chuck it in my yogurt in the morning and I have become so much more lean!

Slight correction needed here peeps, it’s 1 gram of protein per pound of muscle and not per pound of body weight. Eg, a person weighs 200lbs but only has 160lbs of muscle (40lbs body fat), that person should take 160 grams of protein and not 200lbs…
Another thing, It would put too much stress on the system to go from what most people eat in protein to all of a sudden eat 160 grams per day. Gradually is the way, mixed with fibre and staying hydrated. Also may want to look at taking Milk Thistle for liver cleaning occasionally.

This podcast was much more detailed and informative than one of your last podcasts with Dr. Amen. Dr. Shah talks about all the things you can do to have your best health. Unfortunately the podcast with Dr. Amen was really just selling his books, etc. That particular podcast was very disappointing.

So many useful tips, thank you so much! There’s many of these things we can do every day to improve our health, but some others are not really affordable for everybody. Some of these tests they mention are only approved by insurance if you have symptom already, or not covered at all. But let’s work on what we can! 💪🏼

THIS! doctors just prescribe medication to treat SYMPTOMS but they don’t actually focus on the main cause.
I have stomach issues and guess what, I still have these issues 2 years later because I have to be my own doctor, it’s taking me time to educate myself but that’s all I can do. I’m not rich enough to pay for a functional medicine doctor so we’re all on our own. Sucks.

Loved loved loved this episode. But it is so hard to stay away from processed foods. As a working mom of Indian origin.. I want to recreate the foods of my childhood.. when stay at home moms would spend hours in the kitchen and they had house help as well. But to feed my kids in North America I must complete with the taste of burgers and pizza. It is not easy. But thanks to Dr Darshan for great advice

    Hi!
I’m a dietitian. This is exactly what we go to school for. But as Dr. Darshan says, Western medicine focuses on eliminating the symptoms without addressing the causes. This is why registered dietitians are not compensated fairly. Even though we are required to have a master's to practice clinically, we are not making money for the Healthcare system. I would really like a space to advocate for optimal health through pillars of wellness AND for the dietitians out there.
I hope you don't mind me sharing on your space, Jay!
But I made a video that explains why nutrition therapy MUST be included in medical treatment for HEALING if anyone is interested!: ruclips.net/video/3UYSaQgxof8/видео.html
Please feel free to remove my comment if deemed inappropriate! Thank you 🙏🏽!
