congrats on all the work and great results.
I did the same type workouts in collegiate wrestling in the early 1970's. I wrestled at 235 lbs. 5.0 % body fat. Back then it was unlimited in weight in the superheavyweight division. Now college rules cap the max weight for that division at 275 or 285 lbs.
During my best year in college wrestling, Chris Taylor weighing 445 lbs. won nationals and represented the US in the Olympics. I just could not beat a 6'5" sumo wrestler at 445 lbs.
I was the only heavyweight wrestler that my coach ever had that could complete more than ten miles in the morning one hour run. That is ten sub-six minute miles in a row. At the time I was benching 450 lbs. three times, (Without arching my back), and doing 90 sit-ups in the minute drill and 70 some pushups in the minute drill. We used to run in the morning for an hour. lift weights for 1.5 to 2.0 hrs and practice in the afternoon for the same amount of time.
I used to eat about 10,000 calories a day, just to survive. Sadly, never took nationals nor placed very high. I could only whoop wrestlers up to about three hundred pounds; after that I could not even get my arms around them.
Sadly, no crossfit competitions back then.

My college wrestling coach used to say that "Fatigue will make a coward out of anyone, and I will not have cowards on my team." He worked us really hard.

She looks like a living Greek/Amazon female Warrior - like a "killing" machine - this is the kind of training those Spartans had to go through, to see women being able to do this, is quite amazing. I'm 110% sure she would complete the Navy Seal Training.

Hi Tia and Shane, I would love if sometime you can discuss any injuries you've gotten or formed from lifting the loads that you do? How do you improve it so you can keep doing the sport that you love everyday?
I currently have a knee injury from bad form in the start of crossfit, I'm now doing physio to help make sure I can no longer cause harm to that affected area. I've always been curious about this for games athletes because you guys train days and hours on end on top of doing multiple events.
You rock! Can't wait to see you compete again :)

10,000 hours is approximately 417 days. It's 1.1408 years. If you devote 3 hours per day it would be approximately 3333 days or a little over 9 years. How many hours do you train every day, Tia? Must be over 4 hours at least?

I think Tia is awesome and I love her videos, but don't fall for the "10,000 hours of practice" myth. The greatest at what they do achieve greatness long before 10,000 hours. There are endless examples, but I will pick just one...Tia herself. She won 4 Crossfit Games before reaching 10,000 hours of practice.
