@@pitbikecookracing3324 ok so lash on these engines isn’t a big deal like people make it out to be. that’s why you hear so many different answers. Truth is I don’t even use a feeler gauge. I just take the adjuster and run it down till I feel it touch but not tight. Just the slightest wiggle. Done !
Lash increases as engine gets hot so even zero is perfectly fine . I guess I set mine to zero or .001” by feel. I think .006” is sloppy. And .009” is just something I’d never recommend. Realistically there are going to be a lot of opinions on this and many theories behind why they think that’s best. I don’t wanna get into my theory but I can tell you that as long as it’s not like falling off loose it won’t make any difference in open modified. In classes where lift is measured and they only allow say a 308 cam I’d want my lash at zero to get as much of the cam lift as I can get. Hope this help. Paul

@@paulskartslifan4206 for sure, my friend. It’s easier to ask someone with experience and exposure you cannot be experience . Because you guys are doing the math so I rather ask somebody that I look up to that’s doing the research thank you so much Paul 💯😎👊.
