Blueberry, a discussion I have been having a lot. So much that I sold my a6700 for an a7cr, 61mp glory. Now I have two cameras in one, I am able to use all my crop lenses, as well as FF getting double use of the lenses. I love it. The Fuji is X100, I don't understand, that much expense for a single fixed lenses. The a6700, not much bigger is a much better deal. Keep out there, Spring is near. Cheers.
The A7CR has the compactness of the cropped sensor cameras, but yet the same power of the A7RV. And like you said, with 61mp it’s like having two cameras in one! 😊
What are the pixels vertically and horizontal for each photo? This is the way to verify if the amount of pixels match or one has less than the other. For example a 24mpx is around 6000 x 4000
for video its complicated. because some cameras oversample, and others line-skip. and also a video file is compressed, some cameras add sharpening and others dont.
Blueberry 😂 nice to see you out with the camera as well! Interesting test with the crop though, and next time - dont walk so far out on the edge 😅 or, could have been a funny video though 🤣
Heyheyhey, he’s back, good video for a comeback :) Too bad Blueberry-season hasn’t started yet, or else you could have included some in the foreground of the shot ;) A followup video about the opposite scenario would be great, one where you go «the other way», ie do a full frame shot, then go into cropped mode and move back to get the same framing as the full frame - then the big test would be the following in terms of end usage: if both are printed out on A3 or A2, is there a difference? Aps-c is more blurry? Of course we do «know» the aps-c shot in theory should be less crips, but is it noticable? And when shrunk down to phone screen size, will the full frame/full sensor/full pixel count shot look more «crisp» on a small screen than the aps-c mode shot, or is the pixelcount enough on the aps-c mode to still look crisp? And as a final follow up video idea, doing a foreground, subject/middle and background test to see the difference in compression, both shooting full frame/aps-c and cropping in in post as well as the full frame vs moving back in aps-c mode and try to frame it in the same way, could be interesting :) And finally, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the A6700, realistically it’s the only camera/price range I might be able to afford saving up to (and justify buying since I’m not doing anything photo/video-related to make *real* money … yet) so would be great to hear some thoughts on that, especially if you do try using full frame lenses on it, since I’m contemplating buying full frame lenses to «future proof» things should I move up to a full frame later on, but again, if the aps-c lenses are WAY cheaper I might just go that route for now and worry about upgrading both camera and lenses to full frame *if* I can justify it further down the line :)
Really good video and test ideas you have! I’ll have to take a closer look at them 😊 And I’m looking forward to test out the A6700 more, I’m really liking it so far, the compactness of the camera body with the all the video features inside does make it a really good camera. And no overheating so far 🤞🏻

The one cropped in camera is 4021x6032. The one cropped in post is 4247x6297 😊👍🏻

This is true
In crop mode,the A7R V has 26 MP, not 21
Yeah, that’s right ☺️ I actually knew it, but it left my brain at the moment of recording 😅

If I had fell in it would have been an expensive video 😅
@@RogerAVHansen yeah, thats true! Good thing you stayed on dry land 😂
