I work for an automotive manufacturer and you do things the right way! Very impressed! I would definitely trust you with my car!
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a true and proper body repair right here. As an estimator, I can only hope that my tech fixes a car half as good as this guy. This job should easily be anywhere from 70-80 body hours for you to flag.
Si son buenas esas horas para flag
Too bad insurance companies, mainly geico, would pay 30-40 hours for a quarter panel job. That’s why cars get hacked
Hey Kyle, I can’t tell you how much I respect the hard work and dedication to follow the manufacturers repair specifications, all while seeing the boss and every other person involved who actually didn’t do any of the work get a cut of the insurance money. It’s a damn shame the worker ant ends up with 10% of the pay out.
Robert Loza Someone’s gotta keep customers and DRP’s updated and happy, write sheets, order parts, do administrative work, run sublet work and lock in jobs for him to keep working.. body men are the jocks but the guys up front also have important work.
Idk if you deleted the other comment but if you stop to consider, if my job ever went obsolete it would be because the industry in general would’ve become completely automated.. which means we’d both be out of a job.. also I may be a pencil pusher but I also know how to work with my hands and actually have a few years experience working as a tech. Think of it as dual threat. Either way I ain’t starvin buddy ;)

Bullshit.

Damn you are fast and good quality !
Found a video of yours on FB, can't believe you only have 7k subs. Incredibly detailed meticulous. Keep it up!

Great work brother, making it look effortlessly. Love that long neck grinder considering getting one💯💯💯
Definitely worth the money. This is a 3M one. They have a newer version that is even better and cheaper. Worth looking into for sure.
Auto Wizard thank you! Yea its a must have if you do this type of work daily
Oh I buying one my onix cut off wheel pia sometimes
You have the skills. I really enjoy watching your videos. Keep it up.
Good to see your work young man ......well done
The Essex Hunter Thank you! I appreciate that and glad you enjoy watching
@@BlueCollarKyle I don't wear gloves unless mig or stick welding....I made my own rotary body dozer back in the early 80's with it still out in the workshop.
long story on how many cars we brought back from the grave lol Get some more time under your belt and then open your own shop....
3/8 boiler plate fully welded then you need gloves lol ruclips.net/video/6-RcuMaQ92k/видео.html
Enjoy the videos, you are very talented. Nice to see someone putting forth the effort to make it close to original as possible.
Like your channel you are fast and do great work .
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy watching
Wow. Nice work. Thank you.
Hello my friend I have a question so what is the name remove the spot welder for the quarter panel
Hey man love your videos. I was wondering if I could get some advice though. I got a 2004 BMW 745i and the bottom part of the quarter is smashed in, it's a small piece. I already replaced the door that was also damaged. The door jam is also a little messed up as the door rubs on the jam when I close it and takes a little more effort to close. Is there a way we could pm? I wanted to send a picture of the damaged area to get some advice.
What spray product did you use for the inside of the panel? Is that to prevent rusting??
please tell me what kind of sandpaper you use for drilling points, and what is it called
Good work.
Why do you sand off primer around wheel arch for glue? Isn’t going to leave chance for metal to start rusting on inside?
@bluecollarkhyle what chemical did you put on to have a great adhesion on the spot weld?
Do butt weld ur cuts or do u put a fish plate in or a backing plate in? Just curious?
what is disc cutting tool with an extension? Any link to it?
How long take qauter panel changing
So the shop told me two weeks or more. Is that about right??? Same damage
I like your work. This question isn't necessarily for you... and I've dealt with smashed up body parts too... but for most mechanics, body specialists and engineers... they use these resources like crutches.
To them:
Do you use these machines to show off , because you spent your savings on them and need to put them to use or do you have issues with hacksaws, crescent wrenches,
rivet hand held guns, calipers...or____‽
I enjoy tig welding mainly for art , bronze , aluminum.. if it's a structural issue.. I don't know.. I don't trust old with new.. there needs to be stamps like the ones on propane tanks signifying when a structural change has been made....
Good job
Wow. I need this done to my 300zx, by somebody this efficient. It was repaired before and the gaps are not to spec. I can't stand it. Where are you located?
I love the work you do and just have to ask, what is that glue youre using ?
Hey bud I know you be busy and stuff. But I’m planning on going back to body shop work. At times I fear of failing. What’s some good advice you can give?
What gun do you use for the 2 part panel bond? Just curious looks like it works well! Much better than doing it by hand
Aaron Jokela that is a air powered gun that we got from 3M
How much to do both sides?
What do you think of Arthur tussik?
For a job like this what price I'm looking at same side around the same area
I like to see a video where you replicate a nice seam bead for door or trunk lid ie nice D shape just like the factory factory bead on doors
henri I have that in some of my videos but I have no idea which episodes lol. I’ll try to put one together soon
Great work, what kind of spray are you using? To spray the welds behind?
weld-thru primer i believe
How much did you charge for this?
Hard work.
Estimated cost?
Hello from Holland!! Bro you are a master!! I see you dont drill the spotwelds but grind them with the power file?
ramon de wild is the best way to do it
He isn't reusing the panel so he doesn't need to drill through both.
Man I wish you was in Houston my impala ss needs help
Good job man. How much do you get paid to do a job like this?
Who all came from Snapchat
What grit do you use on your belt sander to grind the weld?
Looks like 40 grit or 36 grit
Wow, I do more engine work than anything but this is so interesting especially all the different methods and tools you use. My question is, especially in this day and age, does this career have job security?
Oh yeah
Great idea for a RUclips channel! How long are you expected to take on a job like that? Keep up the great work!
I was clueless about how body work worked jeez good work
Hiya could u tell me what the primer is called what u used please
OKANE 1888 looked like SEM ezcoat
Was that damage considered frame/structural damage?
Definitely
Were u work at ? I want you to do my car
Fuckin good shit
I just knew that Monocoque chassis can be repaired with new parts :v
How much does a fix like that cost. Ballpark
Depends on price of the parts and paint. But I’d say it’s probably a 4-5k estimate
You would be surprised how many brand new cars get damaged and then repaired like this and still go onto the Showroom floor as New!
Cris Filer how do they get damaged like this before they are sold?
@@bigfootandbananaman4746 I've seen one nose dive off a ramp at the port, and a batch of fiats had to be resprayed because they were damaged on the train journey to port....we have a huge body shop at our local port to deal with it all.
Cris Filer wow that's terrible
I hope your estimator knows you’re not gonna blend the rocker and roof rail . Instead you’re gonna refinish it because of weld zone damage . You also can get more time to repair that damage , they can get you , the painter extra hours and the shop more money 🤑. If they did that’s great , just noticed it said blend when the car was mapped out
What he used in 7:23
Weld through primer
Toyota GT86 :-D
What tool is that
Really like your channel but can't watch it without getting very dizzy.

Ok so I’m using a donor qp for my 350 never done anything like this. I like the quality of the vid but I would add mor Comintary ( maybe your not dining that cuz your bosses stipulation of allowing you to make the vids is do them fast and to the point) my questions are( again I have never done this) why didn’t you spot weld wall around the wheel well? If I choose to do so and use the adhesive will it burn through after it cures? Where you putting seam sealer around the edges?I didn’t see you change guns or change glue. But who to say you didn’t. With a mind like mine I get stuck on these small things and and lose what’s going on. Maybe you have done it so much that you get tired of hearing the same this come out of your mouth lol I know I do at work. Can you help me out
Why dont you use gloves on your hands?
