Ladies and gentlemen, this is a true and proper body repair right here. As an estimator, I can only hope that my tech fixes a car half as good as this guy. This job should easily be anywhere from 70-80 body hours for you to flag.

Too bad insurance companies, mainly geico, would pay 30-40 hours for a quarter panel job. That’s why cars get hacked

Hey Kyle, I can’t tell you how much I respect the hard work and dedication to follow the manufacturers repair specifications, all while seeing the boss and every other person involved who actually didn’t do any of the work get a cut of the insurance money. It’s a damn shame the worker ant ends up with 10% of the pay out.

    • @drummer_zay9493

Robert Loza Someone’s gotta keep customers and DRP’s updated and happy, write sheets, order parts, do administrative work, run sublet work and lock in jobs for him to keep working.. body men are the jocks but the guys up front also have important work.

Idk if you deleted the other comment but if you stop to consider, if my job ever went obsolete it would be because the industry in general would’ve become completely automated.. which means we’d both be out of a job.. also I may be a pencil pusher but I also know how to work with my hands and actually have a few years experience working as a tech. Think of it as dual threat. Either way I ain’t starvin buddy ;)

  • @Mr_frost467

Hey man love your videos. I was wondering if I could get some advice though. I got a 2004 BMW 745i and the bottom part of the quarter is smashed in, it's a small piece. I already replaced the door that was also damaged. The door jam is also a little messed up as the door rubs on the jam when I close it and takes a little more effort to close. Is there a way we could pm? I wanted to send a picture of the damaged area to get some advice.

I like your work. This question isn't necessarily for you... and I've dealt with smashed up body parts too... but for most mechanics, body specialists and engineers... they use these resources like crutches.
    To them:
Do you use these machines to show off , because you spent your savings on them and need to put them to use or do you have issues with hacksaws, crescent wrenches,
    rivet hand held guns, calipers...or____‽
I enjoy tig welding mainly for art , bronze , aluminum.. if it's a structural issue.. I don't know.. I don't trust old with new.. there needs to be stamps like the ones on propane tanks signifying when a structural change has been made....

You also can get more time to repair that damage , they can get you , the painter extra hours and the shop more money 🤑. If they did that’s great , just noticed it said blend when the car was mapped out

If I choose to do so and use the adhesive will it burn through after it cures? Where you putting seam sealer around the edges?I didn’t see you change guns or change glue. But who to say you didn’t.
