I have learned more from you than I have the 2 years I've been working at a body shop I work at. I have been pissing off everyone I work with to do things the right way, the body men just tell me it all pays the same evey time i try and show them a better way to do things. man the crap and short cuts they do is ridiculous and im now looking for a more professional shop to work with.
I'll fly out to you. Pay you to watch you and pay you to teach me some things man. I'm starting out a year in with just a few side hustles going on. I cant find anyone else who speaks perfect english that does what you do. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder! (Kyle)
@@quinttayah429 Oh my bad, I guess I should elaborate. I've done welding on cars before and has always had success just disconnecting the battery. Hey if your company wants to disconnect the ecu too why not?
@@aviationtechops so what if theirs heat in the kitchen, you know what else is there? a fridge and food lol. you don't always have to make food on a stove ;)

Put a welding blanket over the chain. It will stop it from shooting back
That's what they told us to do as well in school
coat/ towel or anything really
any links to tools you used. Die grinder/cutter, belt sander etc. probably anything works for a diy body guy
What is the purple tool you always use? It seems to be attached to your hand
Do you use back plates on your seams or do you silicone bronze weld em?
Anyone know what type (etch?) and brand of rattle can primer that is at 6:11?
What spot welder is that?
Too bad shops here are not as good as you. I need my vans rocker done.
What the hell is the song called I've look all over the place for it can't find it
Do you disconnect the ecu when welding?
You just use a surge protector on the battery
always good idea to disconnect the battery to be safe
Battery for sure. I'm asking about the ecu. My company prefers to disconnect that as well.
