Thanx for consistent good roller tests. Never thought it will handle all tests so good for this little car and xdrive system. think i will order it with a xdrive now. ;-)
Just be aware of the fact that new Bmw 1 has FWD biased xDrive system, not a "classic" one.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers Hmmm, yes i remember. Maybe you have one to test ist. but should be better than only front. it will never be a mechanical system like the old quattro or the old old 4 matic. :-(
@@rolliseventeen There is nothing wrong with fwd biased awd systems. For sure it will be better than fwd, maybe even better than older xDrive. By the way - original Bmw awd system was mechanical, two lsd differentials, that was great.
@@4x4.tests.on.rollers ok, good to hear. i found no complete informations yet about new xdrive, but i will check it direct at bmw dealer. they should know, they have to service it. :-)

can u get ur hands on the new 1 series with awd, like the M135i? or is there any other car with a similar system? I saw a video where they tried to drift the new S3 and the M135i and they couldnt and said the power was cut off even with traction control off. Was wondering how comes
New 1 series are fwd biased, they use haldex system. You can't drift it like classic xDrive, especially if TC is cutting power. I'll try to find this car for the test.

@@latlak "Classic" xdrive. RWD based system, powering front wheels via multiplate clutch-pack. Actimax from Magna Powertrain.

Hi! I am curious how a M135ixdrive 2014 would perform. As far as i know, it has a better differential on the rear axel. But nevertheless, wow! I saw that my M135i that is unstopable on icy roads, and now i understand why. And i am talking about Switzerland, only hills and hard winter. Best regards!

Old m135i and m140i didn't have any LSD, so hard to believe the new version does have one.

Witam, czy taki sam wynik byłby w Mini Clubman ALL4? To ta sama płyta, silniki i napędy.
Witam. Nie mam wiedzy na temat Mini, ale czy aby na pewno to ta sama płyta? Z tego co pamiętam, to Mini ma dołączaną tylną oś, a tu mamy klasyczny xDrive z dołączanym przodem.

@@wojtek4070 Zgadza się, Countryman dzieli płytę z X1. Ale to nie oznacza, że napędy będą działać tak samo - wszystko zależy od oprogramowania, które zapewne jest różne.

But I would only get this car one way. RWD. And I would put a limited slip diff on it.
I think the current range of 1 series are FWD or x-drive (no RWD).

duszaniespokojna - 4x4 tests on rollers sorry, front wheel based AWD system. Think old model was rear wheel based AWD.
This one is RWD as base...

Drove a4 b7 before... Behaves exactly the same on the road. :)
And the red one on this channel was broken.
@@P0olek my front wheel drive Mazda also behaves very well on the road, even in winter on all season tire I had no issues. Just because it works, doesn't mean it couldn't be better.
