I went with the H&R lowering springs because I wanted to experience the springs first, then move onto Coilovers.
You guys have to remember the springs are 1/4th of the price of the coilovers so that is also why i went with the springs for now!

It’s funny how you pretended to work on your car when they mechanic is doing all the work lol
For me getting the lower part of shock off from knuckle was really easy, if you just use your feet to kick down where wheel should be. 5 seconds and off, instead of 5minutes of hammering.
If it is tight, hit the side of knuckle to loosen up and kick again.
I installed the super sport springs my self and first it didnt looks too low but after a week or so it looks so different and low i'm in love how it looks 👏🏽
Yeah, the way its sitting now, looks lower then how it does when it comes off the lift in the video. You really do just gotta wait for them to settle.

There's a MUCH easier way to do this. Jack up the knuckle and loosen the top hat nut. Then slowly lower the knuckle so that the spring doesn't have enough compression to cause any accidents. Remove the old spring and insert the new one. Jack up the car making sure everything aligns correctly and tighten to top hat nut. Torque to spec while suspension is under load and you're done. No spring compressors needed and saves about 4 hours of your day. This is how I did my F30.
wow, wish we did that instead, but i still enjoyed every bit of the 3 hours it took, and it was really fun, and i learned a lot, as long as i learn its a win win for me, even if it costs me a good chunk of time! thanks for letting me know about this!

How does it look now ? I have the eibach kit and after 5 years it’s started to sag or lower more , mine looked like yours at first . I heard I can buy spring pads to raise it some ? 20mm pads but not sure if I can do that or I need to just get new springs

Yo I got a 230i and I want to get these springs. Was the ride quality affected that much? How would you describe the harshness compared to stock springs? I want my car lowered I just don’t wanna drop a grand on coilovers unless lowering springs are that bad

Taking the day off 2maro just to install my H&R super sport! Riding on18' untill I scrape up 3500 for Rims, Tires, Coilovers & Adapters!
I would get coilovers but cant find any that'll fit my car I cant find anything for my car just lowering h&r springs

My springs settled over the course of a long time after 2 years I feel like my car is still getting lower lately thing is pretty low.

you mentioned the ride is much harsher at 15:36, can this damage the fenders if you're driving through the city in potholes?
not exactly, my wheels are not rubbing on the fender, there is enough clearance for me to go on bumps and not rub, the problem is that you FEEL the bumps more now, there are potholes around my area that I used to drive over and not even feel, now I feel it, especially with the 19s. More road feedback is the best way to put it.
those rims looks dope btw, yeah man, i wish the ride would stay smooth but the car looks more sporty when its lowered, an addon that made my f30 look sick were door sills for all 4 doors that i got off amazon for $70, they came from turkey and look and feel oem, in case your f30 does not have any

Hey don't know if you remember me but I was talking with you about 2 months ago about getting a manual 335. I managed to get one for a good deal and now I want to lower mine as well since it's also an xdrive model. Hows the ride on these shitty ass NYC roads? I'm running 19s with run flats and its a bit harsh but not too bad. I was thinking about doing coilovers and downsizing to 18s but want to know how the car feels just daily driving it.
MrMw2freak it's bad, the ride is really bad, like I can't go past 60mph without worrying about a bump because every bump is exaggerated. A small bump or pothole, that's if you hit it, will seem like the biggest bump ever. You HAVE to ditch the run flats, they make it even worse. But when I'm on a smooth road, they ride better than OEM cause it's a sportier ride and still smooth, WHEN the road is smooth. This set up isn't ideal for NYC roads to be honest!
Damn man thats what I was afraid to hear lol. When I switch over to 18s I'm getting Super sports put on them regardless. I really want to get rid of the wheel gap but i guess its just not worth doing in NYC. Whenever I'm on the highway and hit a small bump or pothole the whole car gets thrown around. I usually drive around in sport + but not on the highway as the car would likely spin out with the DTC off in sport +
How do you find the handling and the ride in comparison?
Handling is better, the ride is much stiffer!

You shouldve went with the super sport, im using super sport with 225/40/19 and 255/35/19. no rubbing issues
habuser210 If people sit in the back right now ill rub, im glad I didn't get the super sports, and they have settled now, they're perfect I'm glad I played it safe, but I wouldn't mind a little lower in the front lol
i just recently tracked my 335i and the super sports held up great. what tires are you running in the back, because i tried having a full load ive never rubbed. and i have the m sport suspension so im lower than most f30 with super sport springs

i think they are just the sport because i have the super sport springs and this is what my fitment looks like on stock wheels.

Das 335 The H&R on the xDrive are very harsh, but it's like that for all xDrive cars. Lowering it makes them almost too hard for daily.
NS Will the ride be better on a non X drive model? I have a 328i rwd and am looking to do this
