If your F30 didn't come equipped with M Sport package, i think what you're experiencing is expected. I lowered my 440i xDrive F36 Gran Coupe M Sport with EDC with an Eibach pro kit US catalog 10% stiffer than stock springs so more control without harshness in ride. Ride was almost same as stock and firmer when on Sport with no issues. Minimal drop of 0.8" front and 0.6" rear...very subtle drop. Based on my research H&R and Dinan springs is to be avoided as they are typically at least 30% stiffer than stock. xDrives do not like to be lowered more than 1.5" in front because that puts their suspension geometry out of spec so they often begin to break front drive shafts. Perhaps change your damper with B16 Damptronic kit from Bilstein, KW or Ohlins
Appreciate your video... It's Crazy cause I have my H&R sport spring box sitting here in my garage waiting to be installed in my F10 535i m sport.. After hearing what you just said about the issue with keeping the original shocks I couldn't agree with you more... I never even thought about that.. Man you saved me from getting future headaches. I guess it would be smart to install these springs with a set of new shocks all at the same time instead of ripping the crap out twice. Anyway thank you for your input, and all the efforts you put into your videos.. Very helpful!!
Update... I went the BC Racing coilovers way, and couldn't be happier!! Stance is set absolutely perfect and the ride is better than the stock M-sport setup.. It was the full adjustability that caused me to return my H&R springs and go this route.. The best choice I've made on this car!
The best spring setup you can do for an f3x with edc is h&r sport springs with dinans suspension tune. My 435i was really bouncy in comfort mode because the dampening was too soft for the spring rate after dinans suspension tune the car drives much smoother and is more planted over bumps at speed.
I love the Normal and Sport modes that my 2024 Supra offers. However, I don't like the fender/tire gaps. Ideally, I would drop the car just a half-inch at each corner, but I'd have to get adjustable springs to maintain the electronically-adjustable shocks. (which would be eliminated with coilovers)
I had h&r sport springs on eibach b8 shocks/struts. Looked good but rode like 🗑️ as a daily driver. I switched to Eibach Pro Kit springs and Koni Special Actives.
How does the adaptive suspension interact with the lowering springs? Does the comfort mode, sport mode, etc adjust the suspension and does the lowering springs affect it as well? Sorry new to the bmw game
So this car actually doesn’t have adaptive dampers. That was an additional option that this car wasn’t spec’d with. But if it did have it, it should still work since you’d only be changing the springs and not the actual dampers
NY potholes are crazzzy! I still can’t decide if I should go with springs or coils.. I have a e60 with sports package which lowers the car a bit But there’s still that tiny little gap 😂
@@ayyyman_ my 330 had a very small chip in my first week of ownership and I was able to save it with a window chip repair kit, very satisfied with results. You my friend will need new window. Maybe content for a vid? 🤔
I guess I just don't understand, you're saving money with lowering springs? IMO that's an expensive BMW. Seems well worth it to get the $1500 coil-overs. This isn't an old civic. Maybe I'm mis-judging the value of this vehicle.
The car (excluding the mods) is worth only about 17k I would say. These lowering springs cost about 250 so still much cheaper than even a cheaper set of coil overs. Overall; if I could go back, I would’ve done Bilstein coilovers
hey bro, i have an 18’ F32 soon to do my M sport conversion, curious tho as to how much you payed for each bumper to get painted? and should i PPF the front bumper?
I paid $1,000 to paint the front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts. My OEM bumper was PPF’d but I never did my new one. I personally don’t care as much about it since it’s an aftermarket bumper
@@ohreally4752I did the conversion and it’s honestly not worth. I paid about $500 for an unpainted front bumper, $500 for an unpainted rear bumper, $250 for painted M sport skirts, and then $400 per bumper to paint them both. I did all the installation myself and it came out to around $1650. That’s not including wheels, steering wheel, and all other trims needed for the ‘proper’ conversion. Not worth at all, just buy an M sport
Isn't a daily meant to be comfortable and hassle free to drive especially when other family members are using it to commute why mess with it you have a M3 do all the lowering on that not making a lot of sense

how much is safe to lower rear without breaking shafts?(without x drive if it makes a difference)
@@Nukrami wouldn’t buy the red springs from h&r the blue ones wouldn’t cause an issue
Which eibach springs did you order for an xdrive 440i f36??

The best choice I've made on this car!
I have a 2015 BMW 428i, 150,000, purchased brand new. No issues whatsoever, the best investment I've ever made.

Great point for a car with EDC! I wish mine had it
I have an xDrive 435i with EDC. Could you share the link to the dinan suspension tune?
Hesitant about lowering my car but this may solve it!!
@@Zaid_435iyou find it?
The stock shocks are not made for lowering Springs.
adaptives are

what exhaust are you running on this car? really loving how it sounds over these last few vids!
Just running a stock 340i exhaust on it but it gave it a nice subtle tone which is perfect for my daily driver
Just bought H&R sport springs and dinan dampers and have yet to install them. This isn’t too reassuring 😅
That's because you didn't change your shocks to match the springs
try shorter bump stops

What is that steering wheel?
What are the full wheel specs? U squared?
18x9 ET30, 245/35/R18, squared
Hay can you please drop a link where did you get the sports springs
MSS urban springs would resolve this issue
Has this car been reliable? Would you recommend for a first car daily ?
i have a 2018 330i xdrive and it's been a great daily for almost 20k miles so far
👍🏼👍🏼 thanks for the video
Thank you for watching!
