Q 1. Alphabet are standard group of letters of a language. It's a plural so there is no word called 'Alphabets'. I doubt this question ever was asked in IAS exams.

The egg laying animals lived long before the chicken arrived. So technically the egg came before the chicken
Many years ago when there were no chicken and animal very indentical tu chicken( can also called proto -chicken) would have mated with other proto - chicken .the two organisms pass their genes in the form of DNA.
I believe chicken or the egg laying proto~chicken because the shell needed for the offspring can only be created by the special protein of the parent hen.

The egg! The question doesnt specify the egg is chicken egg. It only says "egg". Dinosaurs also reproduces laying eggs long before birds appear on the scene. So the egg was first in the evolution, long before any kind of chicken...and even of the question specified it that it should be chicken egg, the answer would still be the egg because again - dinosaurs layed eggs and birds evolved from some sort of small dinosaurs, so they just developed the wings and feathers but kept the reproducing intact :)
