    This video is EXACTLY what I needed to hear! Glenn, I can never put into words how much finding your pages has changed my life…I’ve learned and I’ve taken action to get my life back after 10 years of panic/agoraphobia…I’m on my second month of my recovery journey and I’m NOT giving up! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️💪🏻

      That's absolutely beautiful Sara. That's exactly how I started my journey. I took it month by month. Not day by day as not much changes in these disorders day my day it's a monthly évaluation the brain and body need time to return back to normal behaviours and that just takes time. Keep going Sara remember this cannot kill you panic will not make you have a heart attack and "lose your mind". Recovery lies in the places you fear. Keep going don't let 3-4 days pass doing nothing sitting at home in old patterns. Relearn to live again 🙏🏾❤️👍🏾

    There should be songs about this so that the majority of people know what is happening. Once you know what it is you can calm down...its just the not knowing that makes it so scary

    I have been dealing with these issues, too, since 2021. Whenever I feel the symptoms in my body, I remind myself it’s an adrenaline rush. I started with the fear of riding in public transportation, then I conquered that fear and realized it’s a mental battle taking place, and we can’t run away from it, but we have to face it head-on.

    This video is really good, i've been getting adrenaline whenever someone i don't know talks to me, for example, if i go into tesco and the person behind the till talks to me, i get a hit of adrenaline, i'm guessing it's the same thing as anxiety

    I haven been seeking validations after validations from everywhere regarding my "adrenaline rushes" and this is by far the most clear-cut counselling I've ever got because the adrenaline and cortisol rushes took away quality time from my life... It's only through proper sleep cycle, excercise and meditation(must do) that I got rid of all my sensations and startle responses to even the minute sounds... You are doing a great job man!!

    I watched this video before my first flight, something I’ve been dreading and avoiding for years for I had crazy cleithrophobia and this video gave me so much clarity and helped me faced my fears and so thank you for this content. Then also I prayed because at that point I was beginning to forget everything I was told in this video and God came through for me. I didn’t even feel the aftermath I’d normally experience. And so to those watching please share this video but most importantly talk to God to remind you that you’re safe because he’s got you!

    Yeah I'm going in 1 year now if severe anxiety and now being forced off meds trying to learn healthy effective ways to cope and exist with this. I haven't left the house in over 3 weeks. It's not fear that something is going to hurt me or anything it's more the feeling that I have a monster loose inside my body and then I feel like outside is to stimulating at the same time that makes me so uncomfortable that I freeze. My mind and body just freeze and I cannot process because my brain is trying to sort out what's what. Thank you for this video it helps bring a better understanding to this disorder and gives me more direction than my therapist has given me. I feel a little more hopeful after seeing it.

    Adrenaline is lemonade compared to Cortisol Glenn.
    Cortisol is responsible for severe long term nerve sensitisation, it's very hard to get rid of unlike adrenaline which is burned off very quickly...

    • @FromPanictoParis
      @FromPanictoParis  2 года назад +2

      I am referring to panic and anxiety here. Adrenaline is the first hormone secreted by the body when the fight or flight response is activated. So instead of calling it a panic attack call it an adrenaline rush it takes the fear away from the word "Attack" that's the point of this video. Adrenaline is secreted first within seconds as soon as the brain detects a threat. Cortisol the stress hormone then slowly starts to kick in and it's all connected. If you get rid of the adrenaline you'll get rid of the cortisol Gary.

      @@FromPanictoParis Sorry mate, your bang on about the whoosh of adrenaline when having a panic attack.
      Cortisol kills me in the morning, I wake up feeling completely out of it, brain fried and buzzing with anxiety etc.
      I'd love to pick your brain about why I feel so weird and detached all the time but it doesn't feel as strong as derealisation...
      It's a vague feeling but very disturbing, as if something just isn't right...
      I can't explain it but it's horrible...

      @@garyparker6583 these Disorders are so bewildering Gary it can leave us feeling like there's just something sinister wrong with us. Makes us feel we are close to death or on the verge of a breakdown. But you are not. You are depleted from too much stress hormone and constantly worrying "what's wrong with me" always thinking and never shutting off. That would leave any human being absolutely exhausted. I've been there man. Exactly where you are exact same feelings and thoughts.

I know it’s just the adrenaline but it’s hard to convince yourself of that when you are exhausted because you are having a hard time sleeping and the rushes happening all day exhaust your body. Any advice on how to stop the rushes? Quoting coffee? Exercise? Thank you.
