It's crazy how many things in the first episode are foreshadowing for things coming later. Chuck saying "wouldn't you rather build your own identity, why ride on someone else's coattails?", or Howard saying "sometimes, in our line of work, you can get so caught up in the idea of winning, that you forget to listen to your heart", or the relationship between Jimmy and Kim by one single scene (Jimmy making a mess, Kim cleaning it up, and both sharing a cigarette or an addiction). This show is really enjoyed by paying attention and trying to understand the characters, so hope you keep those early themes in mind. I'll follow the journey. Hope you like it.
Oh I definitely will!!! Thanks for watching! Glad to have you on board for the journey!
It's not crazy lol. Smart writers, even if they don't have a complete outline for the whole show, tend to remember stuff they established early on, sometimes even a miniscule thing. And their things you mentioned are so vague, that it really isn't hard to "fulfill" so called foreshadowing later on in the show.
So what's so crazy about it?
It is a great show, but I swear people już have to have theirs "it's crazy that x/y/z did/was foreshadowed" etc etc. Lol.
@dariusz_darson_8968 "it's crazy" was just their way of saying "the writing is so smart!" Which you seem to agree with lol. Not sure why you're so bothered by someone else being impressed with something they enjoy. Are you ok? I hope you're having a good day.
About the opening... think back to the last few episodes of Breaking Bad... the vaccum shop basement... "If I'm lucky, a month from now I'll be managing a Cinnabon in Omaha"
GENIUS!!!
Bob Odenkirk is a genius a Pretty perfect actor IMO
He's truly talented!!
Just so you know, you can use some B-roll to cover up those jump-cuts (in your introduction).
People that didn't watch Breaking Bad first, will get to be excited when they see these characters pop up later on in Breaking Bad...
True!
Yesss 🙌🏼 I'm so ready for this journey!
I'm LOVING it so far!!!
I enjoy your commentary and perspective. I hope you keep it up!
Awwww thank you!
WOW you have definitely got a lot to upload Kelsea. Editing Kelsea must be being kept real busy. Take care hun. D
Ya I'm super behind on getting stuff over to RUclips. 😅
I would even argue that BCS is one degree better than BB
That's hard for me to fathom but I'll just have to see how I feel when I'm done with this one! So far I think the tone of BB is more my thing, not that I don't love this as well but like if I had to choose, the tone of BB is more of what I gravitate towards. This one is more fun and funnier so far that's for sure. But that's not something I needed from BB so it's just really hard to compare. So far I love this but I'm opposite of you. BB is still one degree better.
@@KelseasCommentsI don't know how far along you've come and I'm not going to spoil anything. For me, Kim was the one I was rooting for the whole time. You don't know anything about her in BB and that's what added to the suspense because her character is just sensationally written. Such a great person to whom you wish no harm.
The series is on a different level than BB. But the same applies to both, every season gets better and better. BCS definitely has the best villain. Even better and more terrifying than Guz, which makes the whole thing really unbearably exciting.
@Coyote818181 I'm on S2E2! And yes I'm madly in love with Kim already!!!
BCS has a better villain than BB???? OH BOY. I'm definitely excited for it to just keep getting better and better.
I agree 100%. I think BB might be more enternaitng but almost everything about BCS is objectively better imho
Same here
I live in Abq and love both shows. I happen to live about 20 feet from Saul's Omaha apt! You can see my balcony at about the 2:20 mark of the show, during a dark and snowy glimpse of the outside of Saul's building. My balcony is seen sticking out from the left side.
That is SO COOL!!!
@@KelseasComments I couldn't believe it when I first moved here, about a year after season 1 of BCS. I even watched them film a few scenes outside that building for season 5. I'll mention them when we get to them.
I met Bob Odenkirk!
My sister-in-law and her husband watched BCS and never finished BB. I recommend it BB to them but they didn’t like it and stopped after episode 3.
What a shame. 😭😭😭😭😭
For all public school food gets knocked, the schools I grew up at made absolutely fantastic cinnamon rolls.
LUCKY
Because I'm lazy, I'll post what I said on Patreon... for the algorithm. No need to read this Kelsea. 😁
The cross-references between BCS / BB are plentiful. 😎
Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) leaves the courthouse and approaches a Cadillac DeVille in the parking lot. The swanky ride is the same make and model as the one McGill in BB uses doing business as Saul Goodman. Of course, this show takes place years before the slick ambulance chaser's fateful first encounter with Walter White. Instead of approaching the Caddy, Jimmy heads for the car next door. This sad bucket of bolts, with its incongruously colored rear-passenger door, is a 1998 Suzuki Esteem. It's in a sorry state, much like its owner. Jimmy's Esteem (pun intended) is more a reflection of unrealized potential and remains a stubborn survivor of Jimmy's tragicomic misfortune. At this time, McGill is so unpolished he rehearses closing arguments to an audience of urinals, and drives a vehicle to match his stature, a urine-yellow, run-down, four-door sedan that egests sooty refuse and purrs with the grace of terminal emphysema.
I bet you read this drivel anyway. 😂
I read everything you say Arch. Even if it's a repeat lol! ❤️
A friend of mine watched this episode but told me he never watched Breaking Bad... I humbly requested he stop, because, while sure you can watch it in reverse but you cheat yourself out of reveals for both shows.
Good friend!!!
I think you’re really going to love this show. It’s excellent throughout and imo has as good an ending as BB.
So excited!!!
Did you watch El Camino too, I hope?
No I haven't seen it yet!!
I assume you watched breaking bad first? It's basically a prequel, though some portions take place during and after the events of Breaking Bad... I would watch breaking bad again but I guess you don't have to but most of this show happens before the events of breaking bad any how
Ya I've watched breaking bad many times it's one of my favorite shows of all time!
Think of El Camino as Breaking Bad S 5 E 17 😃
Oh yay!!!
