@chegg4312 I defeated ayre on second try. It was surprisingly easy for me. Ibis on the other hand I fought 5h straight. Its maybe because I usually use heavy bipod mech and Ibis is fu**ing too fast.

I played the Armored Core games as they released, starting at the first game on the PS1. Armored Core is what I knew FromSoftware from. That reputation is why I gave Demon Souls a shot back when it was released.
@@christopherschneider2968 i can't recall if I did but I take pride in having played every entry. And those early games are truly something you should play them if able too.
same but im probably a bit younger and started on ac3, when i played dark souls for the first time, the familiar fromsoft logo flashed across my screen and i said 'oh, its the guys that make armored core!"
@@christopherschneider2968 This, dude. I played AC on a demo disc and then only rented Master of Arena. 6 is the only other AC I've ever really played (though I faintly remember trying 4A at my friend's place). I knew it in my bones that it was my type of game, though. I love the controls, options, general gameplay mechanics - all without being too sluggish and tank-like. It's perfect for me, and I've waited patiently for a revival to play a live, current-day version of it.
Mankind and giant fighting robots share an incredible synergy. There's always something that's just so damn cool about them at a primal level. Great to see a new video, bud, keep it up! P.S. Custom Robo on the GameCube was my JAM.
Did anybody else who played custom robo get violently sick? I rented a copy to play with a friend one weekend at his house, we ate take out, but had separate types of food and both got sick, next monday he told me a school friend had picked done the exact same as us and been violently ill but had no take out, for all three of us it was a migraine and vomiting for hours in the late night, we must have all been 12 or 13. We liked the game but never played it again. Ever since I ask people who mention it if they had a similar experience and usually it's the exact same as ours, I think there must have been an epileptic effect from the game but on rethinking it everyone who had reported to get sick was around the same age and we 3 local boys were all consuming aspartame in drinks at the time as it was the popular artificial sweetener of the time and I assume the same was likely true of the other I've asked, aspartame is associated to migraines and neurological problems in adolescents. I'd bet the aspartame makes you sensitive to a certain epileptic effect and custom robo's frame rate or the number of frames in a common flashing animation are the culprits.
Custom robo arena was the slow time fuze that made me a Gundam fan. Cool robots on DS Custom Robo arena (Sky Ray best Ray) Sees Dynasty Warriors 2 in game store (Looks neat lets get this) _Glad I did_ 🥲
That’s the craziest side effect of a video game I’ve ever heard about 😯 😆 I’m not laughing at your misfortune, btw. That’s just so nuts! As a side note, aspartame is a known carcinogen.
This game is a completionist dream. Battlelogs, Hidden weapons, S Ranks, branching paths, different endings and PVP as the icing on the cake. A complete tight package, fun as hell without over extending itself. The main criticism I have of the game is that I want MORE of it. But, we have to keep in mind that this was a revival, a return to form and a new baseline for the franchise. More will come I'm sure of it.
What I like about this game the most is that it tought me so much during my first playthrough that my later completions became lot easier and even the true final boss was beaten in 5 tries because I immediately understood how to slap his ass down. It's a tactic game, it demands to adapt. And this is the best part of it.
I just completed NG+ and will start NG++ today. Its so much fun to replay because you get some new missions and new enemies every time. I also just learned a "new" thing with the final boss of my NG+ run. You should not even touch the right analogue stick while using autolock. As much as you want to move the camera to lead the target, you will get a problem once you run into an extremely fast opponent. You should trust your autolock more and let it do its thing when the enemy uses extreme speed in close combat and only use manual aim against slower opponents.
I appreciate that tip! I did see that Vaati was talking about how the efficacy of the auto lock was questionable, but this provides much more insight into the issue. Thanks for commenting!
@@wizcatcheslightning I just watched his video and I can not really comment on the mouse and keyboard situation but the problem with losing hard lock on enemy ACs is real. If you keep your hands off the right analogue stick (for moving the camera), you will be mostly fine unless the enemy leaves your lock on range. For mouse and keyboard this is not an easy solution because you need the mouse buttons to fire the weapons. His advice to tilt the mouse sideways, so that you can still shoot the weapons but not trigger a camera response is not very convenient but the only way to make sure to not lose lock on. The soft lock is an important feature against hordes of MTs though, so switching it on and off in a menu would also not be an option to fix the issue. Maybe there has to be an automatic hard lock on all enemy ACs, HCs, LCs and bosses that you can only disengange with the press of a button. For all MT (LMT and HMT) encounters, soft lock could be the default.
Great video ! Thank you..I agree and relate to so much of this video. I love this game also, and like a lot of AC newbies, had a rough first day.. in fact, after bouts of day one motion sickness from the high speed camera movement and Balteus destroying me for several hours into the night..... I gave up and went to bed thinking maybe just uninstall and look for something else... luckily, over coffee the next morning I watched a video from "Cleric armoured core" and he said the biggest tip he could give was DONT GIVE UP.. I steeled myself for Balteus, beat him, and have just completed NG +++++++.. loving the story and immersion more with each playthrough...
I’m glad to hear that! The seeming hopelessness is all part of the journey. And you come out of that a much stronger person because of that struggle. It’s neat 🥲
This is my first Armored Core game, I've played one of the older ones long ago but I never got far and barely even remember it, but this one had me hooked throughout and now after playing the crap out of and getting platinum, I'm still playing it! It's just so freaking good. Doing a fresh playthrough with Japanese voices. It's awesome.
Armored core 6 is my goty. Im only on my 2nd playthrough, and i feel 3 runs + s ranking the missions is the goal. Plus making all the mechs u want. I do wish the game is bigger, more maps, more parts, being able to equip dual kurosawa + dual triple laser cannon would be epic. But man, this game is the best. I hope we get a old hunters ed or fire fades edition type update.
In the first mission after the tutorial where you take out some Balam MTs and helicopters if you go all the way to the opposite side of the room from where you initially came out of to fight the MTs, you will find a hole/tunnel about halfway up the wall. Go inside and use radar or proceed far enough inside to find something strange.
@@seoulmandan Well I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. It's not something huge but there is one of those mechs that can go invisible, and then Walter has a bit of dialogue. It could imply that the PCA or ALL MIND uses them to spy on factions. Idk it was just something cool I stumbled upon while on NG++ replaying all missions to find hidden stuff.
I don't think they will do a dlc because they usually have more than one game in a time or place. But having it come out as a dlc for once makes sense. It's also one of the only games that I'll buy a dlc for.
FromSoft hasn't really let the fact that they make multiple games at once stop them from releasing DLC for their previous games. Many times FromSoft are working on around 3 projects at the same time, e.g. Dark Souls and Armored Core V were in development around the same time, and yet both games got expansions and DLC, the former getting the Artorias of the Abyss expansion, and the latter getting an expansion/sequel in the form of Verdict Day.
AC6 is incomparable better than starfield :) I mean Ayre voice in dialogue is more dynamic, alive, real, etc than most of the dialogues in starfield. Even the voice com with rusty is better than starfield. After the first mission with him... U can hear his voice of admiration for u, that u did the unexpected: take the wall.
Love that series. Right on, you should definitely get the game! And yes, personalize your mech. You can pretty much find any color palette you desire with a quick google search. You’ll probably have to make a few tweaks here and there, but that’s part of the fun of making a mech to call your own.
I absolutely loved AC6, never played any of the other AC games but I devoured this one. I finished all achievements earlier and I'm a little sad that the goals have ended for me. This game also makes me really sad that the Phantom Crash/S.L.A.I series is dead.
Traditionally numbered AC games are followed up by an expansion game of sorts that you can carry your save data over to. So here’s hoping AC6 gets one of those or at least sizable DLC once Shadows of the Erdtree drops.
I finished NG on a Friday and then beat NG+ and NG++ by the end of the weekend. It's so good lol, I've never played any mech games before (besides Titanfall)
@@wizcatcheslightning they're very different games - in particular, in Titanfall the titan is actually conscious and not just a "suit". Definitely worth playing the Titanfall 2 campaign though if you haven't!
the PvP in this game is utterly amazing and one of the most fun online experiences ive had since trash talking in mw2 and black ops 😆 from soft has yet again hit a home run. it made me go on another from soft spree and im also 25 hrs deep into another elden ring playthrough lol
Growing up I was a huge fan of the anime Medabots but the AC series never really appealed to me despite the game being about mechs, which was strange since I loved everything else fromsoft had to offer. This is a great video and you may well have convinced me to give AC6 a try. Keep up the good work buddy!
I love this game, I love/hate these bosses. The thing for me is that the imbalance of the weapons, which comes as a result of having such a large and diverse number of them. It meant that, as soon as I tried out the gatling guns and shotguns, it was all over. Balteus was one of those walls where I felt like you're meant to outskill him, but I caved, gave up, and used bubble guns and laser cannons. I didn't feel great about killing him that way, but hours of attempts crushed me. Same thing happened with Ibis. I was happily using dual laser rifles and missiles(which did kinda feel op ngl) after Balteus, only to find these accurate-feeling laser rifles unable to keep up with Ibis. Ibis feels like the perfect sort of boss where you're meant to dodge and weave through these attacks, but it ended up being a giant DPS check. Kill it before it can kill you. Gatling guns, go. I didn't even look up what was good for Ibis, I just wanted to try volume of fire. But the gatlings were so good, I didn't feel good after killing her. I think accurate, long range weapons don't have sufficient tracking to keep up with the speed of lategame bosses(Ibis, Ayre, Allmind, even Balteus to an extent). The right balance for me would be bosses like the Juggernaut, Enforcer, and Sea Spider. Their pace just feels right for this sort of game. On another note, I absolutely love AC vs AC encounters in this game. They speak to you, making it real personal, and you can recognize what loadouts they have and how to counterplay. You also usually have a lot of freedom in how to approach. Basically, I'm pretty sure you can dual zimm+dual haldemans through every encounter in every game, and probably get an S rank too. And that feels kinda wack to me, ya know?
What AC6 does super well is encourage absolute mastery of your mech by rewarding your tireless effort. There's something very satisfying about making a dozen decisions within 2 seconds in order to survive. The game practically forces you into "flow state," wherein mech fights turn into a graceful waltz of death. Brilliant combat mechanics.
Same here, finished it yesterday and was ready to start Sea of Stars in time to finish it before Phantom Liberty but I could only think about two things: buildings mechs and blowing sh*t up in them.

A few of the boss battles I grew to love, mostly the bosses early on but further on the more non AC boss battles felt really.. either out of place or I just didn't like what they were making me do at times. I cheesed over trying to come up with a better strat and when I looked on youtube for a little guidance, I'd see the same exact tank build and that's really the only problem I had with this game that I hope they address in a sequel and I hope there is a sequel because I had so much fun.
I remember first seeing the show late on adult swim as a teen, and being like “what is this? This is awesome!!!” It was the third episode with that spider mech fight and where Takkun has some sexual tension with the class president. It’s safe to say that series left an impression on me.
I have never played a Mech game before and everything about this game is fucking brilliant.. the ACTION the story the soundtrack the Characters the voice acting the combat the bosses the challenges the rewards... I had an absolute blast with it to the point of breaking my controller's bumper from the constant and frantic clicking lol. it's just so addicting! i would buy anything made by FromSoftware at this point. those guys KNOW how to make a fun game, and it would by so fucking sad and unfair if AC6 get overshadowed by starfield this year.
The only achievement I don’t have is S-ranking all missions, finished everything else though. At first it was nearly impossible, the helicopter kicked my arse and Balteus was every flavour of annoying. But eventually I got past Balteus and unlocked my trusty Zimmermans and Pile bunker. Everything was smooth sailing after that with the exception of those annoying defend the point missions
I just beat the M1 Michigan fight after 6 hrs split between 2 days. Screw that fight lol. I woke up pissed today and thought about it all day at work and just barely beat the mission with 350AP after an hour of attempting. Only reason i beat it is cause the big tetrapod stopped attacking after i killed Michigan and i just melted him with duel flamethrower. Game of the year though.
Yea I could barely get him with duel flamethrowers lol I like plasma rifle, flamethrower. He can't seems to dodge the fully charged plasma rifle when the flame is right in his face so he almost always catches a full plasma shot. I ended up beating the mission again because I felt cheated the heavy MT went passive at the end. Still took a few tries but I'm confident in the fight now, I know I can beat him again for a 3rd time if I want. Setup was IA CO1: EPHEMERA set. Close med range FCS. Weapons were left shoulder plasma missiles, right shoulder empty. Right hand plasma rifle, left hand flamethrower.
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I spent 2hrs fighting Arye and I almost through my controller into my OLED. I finally put together a FLY SWATTER Build and beat her ass. Lol
it's a beast of a game, and like Pc building. the better you build ur Ac the better it will perform. i got stuck on a mission for almost a month because i couldn't figure out the right build. I restarted the game entirely, And started over with a new mindset. basically you just gotta tweak it ur way. then go ham !!
fromsoft are such a fucking absurd developer like I don't think any of us, myself included, really appreciate how improbable it is that a studio could release such consistent bangers
my 2nd playthrough i have crushed almost every boss the first try except the 3 vs 1 fight.. that took 5. You really do learn to get good, strike at weaknesses and how to move.
Played it twice through and honestly not that hard at all after the second chapter. I didn’t find NG+ added much though but the game itself was excellent
Great video, as someone who's never played Armoured Core or even a Fromsoft game other than Elden ring, you've convinced me. You've made this game sound awesome. Glad this vid popped up.
Glad you liked it! And even happier that you’re convinced! Had to change up my repertoire a bit and get out of my comfort zone (from Zelda lore vids) and this felt like a great opportunity for that.
I really hope they add more to this game I love this game I've done all 3 endings and got all the battle logs the controls and the combat are so good and I want more hope they add 3 player coop missions with big bosses or a survival mode for 3 players
played the old Armored core games on the PS2 back in the day so i was very happy to finally get a good Armored Core succesor, + the extra elden ring kinda vibe was a nice touch you can kinda hear the Limgrave OST as soon as you get into the garage its like the same long note instead of in elden ring the tone goes up but in the garage it goes down , or maybe im just crazy xDD

G Gundam is a great series, and people meme on it way too hard. Would I recommend it to somebody who wants a serious Gundam series no. But that doesn't mean it isn't valid and brought some really refreshing change to the mecha genre
Ok, ok, I may have to give Armored Core a shot. Great, now I have to brainstorm some mech customization ideas. Lol. Gotta get a “Big O” style mech in there. Good shit man!
AC6 is dope. It’s a niche game. I love it. The helicopter was hard because I didn’t expect it to be. I lost once to it. During which I said “fck it and was going in either the laser sword. I was like oooooh yea this requires tweaking. I’m a HEAVY ARMS fan. It’s a build you can make close to the end of chapter 1. Not recommended as the main mech 😂 close range is so much fun I only felt like that in an older mech game for ps2 forget the name but you had fast pace moving similar
AC:VI is one of the best games this decade imo. Absolutely love the share ID system. Speaking of which, here are some share IDs for EVA units I built in AC:VI EVA-01 (Shinji) - S68UJVST20KA EVA-02 (Asuka) - KVJMAVU7MY6Q
‘Get in the damn robot Shinji’ absolutely sold me on this video. I’ve already played through NG ++ and gotten all three of the endings that have been found so far. (It’s a Fromsoft game. Are any of us going to be surprised if there are more endings to find?) It felt good to get back behind the controls of an AC again. I’ve played every one of the games and have honestly missed this. (FYI Armored core is the second longest running series Fromsoft created. Makes me hope that Kingsfield is going to see a new game some day) As for the complaints about the difficulty you see everywhere. I only have to say this. Try playing the original games with the original AC controller layouts and see what it really means to Git Gud. Then you can complain.
I honestly hate the entire mech genre except for zone of enders. Aesthetically, thematically, musically, and gameplay wise. Ive always hated the sacrifice of playability for the "imersion" of a giant mech controling like shit. AC6 on the other hand manages to defy all of that and be something wholely unique and exceling in pretty much all those areas i dont like about the others. At this point I shouldnt expect anything less from From Software though. It makes me want to check out other AC games. I honestly want to see From make me like an FPS for once.
There are a lot of good FPS out there, man. That's Amerika's only market they can do right sometimes. Soldier of Fortune was great (one of Raven's projects back in the day), Half-life, Serious Sam (
"And much to the chagrin of the zealots of the franchise..." And that would be? The very concept of the mecha is incredibly unrealistic due to the square cube law. If these people actually think G Gundam is silly and unrealistic it simply means they are too young to have an opinion. And while it seems a bit much to call someone who saw this anime 29 years ago "young", that's exactly why they are considered young.
The common complaint I hear about G Gundam fans is that they aren’t true fans of the series/aren’t qualified to like the franchise. I’m glad to see G Gundam supporters in the comments 😎
Bro I can't stop replaying because I'm aleays truing to find fun new ways to crush bosses. Double Ducketts and a Laser Dagger is my new favorite build. No shoulder weapon. All jumps, dodges, and satisfying punishes.

I’m so happy that you mentioned IGPX, I think that’s why I like one of the RJ legs so much, it looks like a part from one of Velshtein’s mechs! Good taste in anime bro! I’ve only played one other AC game and it was 4 Answer. I only ever made it through the first 5 or 6 missions before getting my teeth kicked in. I restarted a couple of times because I was both frustrated and not to far into the game and I wasn’t sure if I had a good mech(I think you pick from 3 of the corps that you want your first build from). I was just a teenager back then and didn’t know what I was doing. Now as an adult I’ve matured as a gamer and I know I gotta keep trying to get better. Still, I won’t play any of the souls games, not for me 🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see more comments about IGPX because I estimated I would get next to none. Same to you!! Ahh Team Velshstein…! That takes me back 🥲 Hey well at least you’re trying a FromSoft game despite not liking soulsborne. I see where people are coming from with that sentiment. And I commend you for not letting that genre define you playing other games from the same developer.
@@wizcatcheslightning I think IGPX is a criminally underrated show. One of the few if not only mech centric series’s that don’t have the fate of the world hanging in the balance or a sinister element behind the scenes. It’s just racing and fighting mechs! I use my past and brief experience with 4A to understand the basics of “I suck now but I can suck less if I keep putting in reps” and the internet being what it is today as opposed to 15 years ago is a big help too. If I get really stuck I look up a build and see if I was even close to a decent answer or if I gotta swap parts and use a different tactic. I’ll even try to put my personal spin on it before going with a “meta” build. I will say it being a from soft game and souls like caused a bit of worry since I didn’t know that about the franchise and having a knack for being difficult but again, it clicked with the small amount of exposure I did have in my younger years. For me it’s always been hard but ultimately for me big mech + customization + fights = serotonin for my ape brain 😂😂
I love this game series. I've played all of them except on psp.I currently have 90ish+ hours in it. Got all 3 endings, all parts, and all battle logs. but I can't help but feel a little cheated on customization. After playing M.A.S.S. builder. M.A.S.S. was something I discovered in my long wait for AC 6. I was in the open beta and it only kept improving. I feel like they could of done something similar. Now I'm not saying M.A.S.S. is a better game by any means. But the customization in that game is unrivaled. It's quite literally sky's the limit when it comes to building and painting. You could spend hours hell maybe days making your mech. You could start from just the skeletal frame. AC 6 has me wanting more and I really hope they keep adding to it. I'm not a fan of PVP (not good at it) and that basically the only reason to get the rest of the parts. Especially the coral shield, blade and missiles. I plan on going back and replaying the story on a fresh save eventually
spoilers however i wish that when you beat new game ++ that after the watch point you could have ayre be an ally in missions since the locked stuff unlocks around chapter 3 including ayre in the arena in new game +++ like imagine if you dough baltaus and ayre joins you
My first Fromsoft game was Bloodborne. Did shareplay of the first level with a friend, said fuck this is great and bought it. Beat the game blind. The. Did several play throughs with youtube guides and platinumed the game with the dlc. Bought Dark Souls 3 on release and loved it. The apocalypse world and you gotta force gods/heroes to heel was amazing. Didn’t get the platinum but beat it many times. Sekiro bought on release i got 30 percent thru the game and just gave up. Wasn’t my thing. Elden Ring same I probably got half way thru and gave up. Both games settings didn’t impress me much. Armored Core 6 i love the game. I beat the NG Blind. Then beat NG+. Working on NG++. But the reason I love it is more of the lack of mecha games in general on PC. Feels like boss patterns and strategies to beat bosses with timing and skill is replaced with “build a different mecha”. There’s no real patterns to attacks I can see. A lot of the bosses feel the same and just not that great compared to previous FromSoft Boss battles. I think because it was their first Armored Core in 10 years they had to build a framework in the engine. And the framework they built was very solid. They worked on previous mecha series. ACE R, Unicorn Gundam Game besides armored core. I think armored core 6 is a solid 7. Not great but not bad. I really think armored core 7 will be a 10/10. They built a really solid foundation. I just hope the game sold good enough to warrant that investment. I bought it just to show support. Even though the last two fromsoft games just weren’t what I liked.
Could use more interesting boss battles. With more of dark souls attack pattern recognition. I recently beat the Demon Souls Remake. Thats how I feel about Armored Core. Its a great start. But not what it can be. FromSoft knows mecha. If Armored Core 7 comes out soon, it’ll be much much better.
At the time of this comment, the total sales tracked (excluding international PlayStation and Xbox sales) are over 1 million with an estimated millions (ballpark) of copies having shipped. I could see it selling 3 million copies in its first week, which is a great start for a franchise that’s been missing for a decade.
@@wizcatcheslightning Yeah man I hope. I think Armored Core 6 deserves a sequel. It would suck to never see what From Soft could improve on. Im sure they can improve boss battles and refine the gameplay to be a little more skill based. I heard PC sold 1 million copies. So that has to mean something.
Its so true, Sekiro is my favourite too and its true Balteus went down fast second playtrough and Sea/C-Spider went down in first attempt somehow. Completely agreed. Ibis and the bad ending Final boss were my two most difficult. Learning Ibis helps you with all other bosses, I found, however.

I played the Armored Core games as they released, starting at the first game on the PS1.
Armored Core is what I knew FromSoftware from.
That reputation is why I gave Demon Souls a shot back when it was released.
Thank you. Whenever I say this people look at me crazy. I gave souls my time waiting on core to return! 9ball killer since 97
@@wurlbfree1981 You Two also probably played that demo-CD right? I only played AC 1 though as i never got another PS from PS2 onward.
Cool robots on DS Custom Robo arena (Sky Ray best Ray)

_Glad I did_ 🥲
That’s the craziest side effect of a video game I’ve ever heard about 😯 😆
I’m not laughing at your misfortune, btw.
If it had crossplay and co-op, it'd be perfection.

I do wish for more... It took me 80 hours to finish everything 😭
Ive never beat a game 3 time in such a short time i love it
What I like about this game the most is that it tought me so much during my first playthrough that my later completions became lot easier and even the true final boss was beaten in 5 tries because I immediately understood how to slap his ass down.

@@Nakai_the_Wanderer ah. Didn’t realize you were using mnk
@@wizcatcheslightning I don't, Vaati's video was about the hard lock and he was using mnk, I just felt like sharing his solution.

Didn’t even realize you could change the Voice Acting dialogue. Super neat 🥲
Fingers crossed for some DLC. It’s doable.
I'd be very surprised if a sizable dlc didn't emerge eventually. Though I suppose Sekiro never did, so you never quite know.
As a man who washing his hands in 300 hours of sekiro armored core was a beautiful little detour
Did you just finish Sekiro for the first time?
In the first mission after the tutorial where you take out some Balam MTs and helicopters if you go all the way to the opposite side of the room from where you initially came out of to fight the MTs, you will find a hole/tunnel about halfway up the wall. Go inside and use radar or proceed far enough inside to find something strange.
What did ya find?
@@seoulmandan Well I didn't want to spoil it for anyone. It's not something huge but there is one of those mechs that can go invisible, and then Walter has a bit of dialogue. It could imply that the PCA or ALL MIND uses them to spy on factions. Idk it was just something cool I stumbled upon while on NG++ replaying all missions to find hidden stuff.
Is that the Grid 86 mission?

@@TheCabalNoob cool, thank you! I’ll have to check that out
I don't think they will do a dlc because they usually have more than one game in a time or place.
I love when games encourage exploration within stages. And reward you for it

AC6 is incomparable better than starfield :)
I mean Ayre voice in dialogue is more dynamic, alive, real, etc than most of the dialogues in starfield.
Even the voice com with rusty is better than starfield. After the first mission with him... U can hear his voice of admiration for u, that u did the unexpected: take the wall.
“I won’t miss”
Even the graphic in AC6 is better than Starfield. Starfield is just too bland and souless for me.

I absolutely loved AC6, never played any of the other AC games but I devoured this one. I finished all achievements earlier and I'm a little sad that the goals have ended for me. This game also makes me really sad that the Phantom Crash/S.L.A.I series is dead.
Phantom Crash was such an amazing game, I really miss it. But I'm loving ac6 so much, I hope mecha has its time to shine in the mainstream now.
looking on the bright side, ACs success will likely inspire more mech games. I'm looking forward to the remake of Future Cop LAPD!
Traditionally numbered AC games are followed up by an expansion game of sorts that you can carry your save data over to. So here’s hoping AC6 gets one of those or at least sizable DLC once Shadows of the Erdtree drops.

Good points here
What AC6 does super well is encourage absolute mastery of your mech by rewarding your tireless effort. There's something very satisfying about making a dozen decisions within 2 seconds in order to survive. The game practically forces you into "flow state," wherein mech fights turn into a graceful waltz of death. Brilliant combat mechanics.
Agreed
As a person who beat the game six times I can relate decision wise
Same here, finished it yesterday and was ready to start Sea of Stars in time to finish it before Phantom Liberty but I could only think about two things: buildings mechs and blowing sh*t up in them.
Background music is Blinded by Light from Final Fantasy xiii, i see your a man of Refined Taste
What a polarizing game, eh? But that song though. 😏
Fellas if you're having a hard time, equip more cannons.
This game makes me feel like I rewatched neon genesis, especially with the third ending
Furi Kuri was the shit! What a weird awesome story.
I remember first seeing the show late on adult swim as a teen, and being like “what is this? This is awesome!!!”
It was the third episode with that spider mech fight and where Takkun has some sexual tension with the class president.
Duel flamethrower was how I beat it hahaha. Michigan is such a big hoss/good sport the entire game even after you betray him
@TheLordofEntropy ha! That mission was tuff
@TheLordofEntropy that + the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket
Ngl his fight is my favorite, him just talking to his underlings was a joy and having to deal with mts and him was really hard and fun
I restarted the game entirely, And started over with a new mindset. basically you just gotta tweak it ur way. then go ham !!
fromsoft are such a fucking absurd developer
like I don't think any of us, myself included, really appreciate how improbable it is that a studio could release such consistent bangers

Makes me hope that Kingsfield is going to see a new game some day)
As for the complaints about the difficulty you see everywhere.

Soldier of Fortune was great (one of Raven's projects back in the day), Half-life, Serious Sam (
"And much to the chagrin of the zealots of the franchise..."
And that would be? The very concept of the mecha is incredibly unrealistic due to the square cube law. If these people actually think G Gundam is silly and unrealistic it simply means they are too young to have an opinion. And while it seems a bit much to call someone who saw this anime 29 years ago "young", that's exactly why they are considered young.
The common complaint I hear about G Gundam fans is that they aren’t true fans of the series/aren’t qualified to like the franchise. I’m glad to see G Gundam supporters in the comments 😎

That takes me back 🥲
Hey well at least you’re trying a FromSoft game despite not liking soulsborne.

Each corpo has their own planet
Furreal? That’s too cool
spoilers however
i wish that when you beat new game ++ that after the watch point you could have ayre be an ally in missions since the locked stuff unlocks around chapter 3 including ayre in the arena in new game +++ like imagine if you dough baltaus and ayre joins you
That would be cool, but I would also want the game to get harder to balance out how much she could help cheese opponents.
@@wizcatcheslightning fair add in new voice lines it would be great
My first Fromsoft game was Bloodborne.
Its a super game. Normal you cant stop playing🚀🚀🚀⚡️⚡️⚡️
all i can say is, welcome to the addiction.
Its so true, Sekiro is my favourite too and its true Balteus went down fast second playtrough and Sea/C-Spider went down in first attempt somehow. Its crazy to see how much you learn on a playtrough + I havent felt yet that im using something because I need to im using it because its fun. Game is so fun
Same here. On new game ++ and I'm going to keep going
Feed the fire (interpret that however you want to)
Love almost everything about this game. I like that we have 3 different final bosses and a good amount of secret missions, but the variety of parts like head arms aetc could have been better
i hear no one talk about how insane the soundtracks are and how they managed to sync in the music in each fight SO WELL
I was pumped when they announced this game and have been loving it. I feel like we are in the early 2000s again with new AC, SF, and MK Games.
To answer your opening statements, "Or you are a long time fan who has been waiting for the last decade for the latest iteration because you remember the glory day's of playing the first game on PS1." No offense, but some of us have been waiting for this game for a long time :)
Non taken! I was taking more of a “long time listener, first time caller” approach 😅
@@wizcatcheslightning Hey no problem! I'm just glad to see more people get into AC and am very happy to see how AC6 has blown up in popularity recently!
@@sonnypally6 and I’m happy to see the AC fans being unanimously positive as a community. You all are great!

Props for all the ffxiii music
any plans to go back and play some of the older games? they've always been good lol, for answer is my favorite.
If I can figure out a proper emulator or if they’re on steam, absolutely. I unfortunately gave my PS3 away back in 2013
@@wizcatcheslightning ps2 generation is the best one anyways
this game is so much fucking fun
This is very well thought out video great work Wiz 👍🏾
Glad you liked it, GameLife!
Wonder if there will be dlc, and what that dlc might be...
My guess would be another campaign. It’s totally doable.
I want to like the video but current likes "666" 💀
It’s over 1K likes now so you should be good 😎
I quite didnt expect this video from you! As someone whom loves Fromsoft, this is amazing!
I never played an AC game but I played all the souls game (except Bloodborne) and itt is a delight to see this!
Glad to hear that! From one soulsborne appreciator to another, I would highly recommend this game.
@@wizcatcheslightningIm absolutely gonna pick it up! Im just waiting for my time to be in good condition so I can enjoy this mastery of art!
Thanks so much for all of your efforts!
@@AndrewThePoet you bet! Thanks for watching and commenting 😃
@@wizcatcheslightning My pleasure!
Armored Core franchise grew up with me since PS1, i like this game so much i always recreate Nine Ball setup in all AC games. I think this game needs a 2 - 4 players coop, raid mode, and human+ or OP Intensify just like AC Last Raven or Silent Line AC.
