This is literally the change im considering. I don't swing slow but my r300 just feel better over 18 than s300. I've sung 105 s300 and did really good so considering the i95 graphite just to make the move over and stay with graphite as I get older.
I love the soft glow of the wound fiber finish. I had to give up Project X LS and C Taper because of joint issues and Steelfiber is actually quite similar. I have them +2" and they are very consistent and smooth. I can understand why they are the most popular graphite shafts on the PGA and LPGA.
The quality of the visual isn't great tbf ...working on being able to feed the screen on to the video now I have a little more equipment in the new studio :)
It's becoming more popular ...especially with more options looking more steel like and having the benefits of graphite but becoming way more stable in the tip ....For the slower swing speeds, I found the Recoil shafts really good as they are a more metallic colour and doesn't stand out so much :)
I have a spare set of these shafts 115 R Wondering if I should make them one length... For an mp60 Mizuno set I have with steel shafts? Have you played with one length irons? Thx
You can one length them... ***you need some wizardry with the weighting though*** as the heads will all be different weights and different lie angles ...it could be a bit of a job to make the more lofted clubs lighter as they'll play longer and heavier... and then the long irons heavier as they'll feel lighter being played shorter Do you hit the ball too high or too low at all?
To get the swingweights the same, did you add tip weights or were the shafts longer in the steelfiber build as compared to the r300 build? I’m assuming if they were longer this would have helped with additional ball speed
Great video. I'm 43 and think this will be my last season in steel, just find it hard to shift in the last 6 holes. I'm looking at the same shaft in the 110g, have you tried those?
I have tried them, very good option if you're coming down from a 120g+ steel shaft - Bit easier Are you reshafting an existing set or looking at them in new clubs? The Axiom 75S could be worth a look as well, low torque Velocore tipped graphite ...touch more expensive maybe but lighter with so much stability maintained ruclips.net/video/FMTqjNJ4FyM/видео.html
@@GRIFF22 Aha nice!! Scrap the Axiom 75 idea completely haha ....I get where you're coming from for that last 6 holes... 120x takes it's toll - I've had some golfers in the Axiom 105S that were 120X steel users beforehand and lost no control but gained speed and ease of use ...I'd imagine the SteelFibre 110 will behave and perform in a similar fashion from when I tested them :) I need to do a direct comparison!!
Tip weights in the build process, If you cut the components / shaft length before gluing and dry test the swingweight, It makes it easier to work it out Sometimes a lighter shaft makes the swingweight heavier and the jumbo grips will make the swingweight lighter so there could be a balancing act between the two Always easier to make something that is too light heavier, harder to bring swingweight down at retail, on a Tour Van you just shave metal off the head until it measures perfect haha Shave the metal or lead tape are methods that can be used after the fact
There's a lot of choice out there now in graphite shaft profiles Generally, yes, they have more "elasticity" where they flex more and have more torque/twist. So a stiff that moves more may be more relative to a Reg in steel that moves less More to enlighten a "Reg" steel player that they could try a stiff graphite and see more benefits - that golfer may not think to try a stiff graphite in a fitting as their perception is that they aren't good enough for stiff - but it could well be a good one for them!
@@FredzGolfSteelfiber i95s is known to be a pretty stout shaft. I guess if the customer has been swinging a 127g shaft for years, this will feel pretty light and easy.
They could well do ....Cobra use 3 types of shaft in their irons for Short, mid and long ...perhaps a similar blend of 2 or 3 different weights progressively (lighter in the longer irons)
I turned my iron set into near-one length clubs by adding extensions myself. They are 1/8" shorter per iron instead of the usual 1/2" from the 6 iron down. Game changer. You could get an old graphite set and experiment.

I like your thinking, long term is just as important as short term! Are you getting them in a new set of clubs or changing the existing shafts?
Love my i 95 's been using them for years.
Such a good shaft!

Haha, I love it. I’m an advocate of just putting lofts on the irons now. The numbers on them mean nothing.
I'd love to weld over the numbers and just have my yardages sharpied on 😁
Would love to see dispersion circles.
They're easier on my new launch monitor to display!! I'll see if I can do a remake haha
I just ordered the Ping G430 irons with the Dynamic Gold 105 R300 shaft.
Very nice indeed, I sell a lot of the 105 range of shafts, good results against the normal Dynamic Gold for a lot of golfers :)
I make a fitting and the Pro recommend me Steel fiber 95 2 flat. My feeling which this configuration are great 👍🏼
Awesome 👍 enjoy!
I love how you hand is always in the way when explaining the numbers

Great video Sir. I've been wondering about i95 shafts for some time. Find my Modus 120s just a little loose and graphite sounds better and better.

They were the same length and yes tipweights to match up the weight :)

How did you get the swing weight back to d3? My builder is saying my I95 shafts are to light. I have large hands need Jumbo grip. MC plus2 grip.

Steelfibers are not new. They have existed for a long time
