I googled shaft review for the aerotech fc80 and this video popped up. I dont know if its Googles algorithm but I was just in this shop last week to use a sim for the first time. Ross we were just talking how small of a world it is because of my last name. This proves it even more :) Great review!

I love my steelfiber i125’s!!!! Steelfiber in any combo will provide as much stiffness as any steel shaft I’ve played... and you can go into the turf naturally without issue... For comparison sake I can step on my PW 47* for 142 yards when needed...i125 stiff....

Your height was fine and your landing angles were great. You needed more spin.

I know this video is a little old but I had actually read lots of stuff saying to softstep the SF shafts. Think that would solve the little lower launch/spin issues you had?

Nice shaft that has the most tour wins of any graphite iron shaft, but the increased MOI is marketing BS.

This is a great review. I might be trading in my Titleist T300’s for these standard Mavrik irons. I hit Callaway irons longer than other brands (I’m a 54-year old 10 HC with very average distance). My current Titleist irons have Oban CT-115 R+ steel shafts. Can you tell me which Callaway stock or custom buy-up shaft is most like that? I tried graphite iron shafts w the Titleist and it was a playing disaster (actually the shaft was the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Red AM2 (Regular)). It felt completely different and way too light to me with zero feel and I went back to Oban. Just looking for any suggestion as i like the idea of moving to graphite but it has to be similar in feel to Oban. If you could recommend a comparable steel and a graphite shaft, that would be great.

Thanks, good impartial review. I believe thy are a lot more expensive than standard stock shafts. I wonder how the SteelFiber would perform in Regular flex and what weight it comes in at?

Steelfibre comes in weights from 70g -125g Flex A-X the are the closet to steel in feel of the graphite shafts , UST recoil has same weights and worth a comparision

Well let me ask you this... What would you play that would give you higher launch and higher spin other than that

How would you compare the i95 to i110? I heard that Steelfiber plays stiffer than listed. Can you confirm?

Hi what is your swing speed ??? my 6 iron swing speed is around 85mph what flex would you recommend

DO NOT WORRY about what flex you have in your hands.... Go get fitted. Look at your numbers. Hit the stiff maybe you need more height or a higher decent angle. Maybe a regular flex will be better. Maybe dispersion is Better. I would play a ladies flex if my numbers were perfect. You can get fitted at so many places. Go one place then to the next. See if they match you the same.... Everyone is gonna be different

Which of the graphite iron shafts that you’ve tested feel the closest to steel? Also, how do you keep the same swing weight as steel? I currently play KBS Tour Stiff and seriously considering switching to graphite for vibration dampening. Thanks!

You should really try the TGI if you already play the kbs tour. I have a feeling you will like it. The way the shafts are designed make it possible to proper swing weights.
