Floss tube has needed your style and approach for quite some time. Honest, straightforward, creative and joyous. Thankyou for the guided meditation. Loved it.
Thank you for coming back. Well, I just found you in your first video and I am playing catch-up. But I so enjoy what you have to say, what you show and how relaxed/calm you are. Tomorrow is another day with which I can get a couple more under my belt.
You know that h & h feeling that Laura said she gets when she sees a chart? Well, that's the feeling I got when I saw that you had another video! I grabbed my coffee and started my day off with you, and once again your video did not disappoint. I love every second of your content ❤
Please continue with the guided meditations! You really are wonderful at it, and the stitching theme was just fantastic. The perfect end to a lovely flosstube.
Oh my goodness!!! Your opening commentary - you speak to my heart and my soul. I am the keeper of the family quilts - 4 generations back. Hopefully the 2 generations ahead of me will sometime grasp the concept of feeling the energy of those that touched these fibers of cloth before. When I quilt - especially - I feel those women and can sense them looking down on me. I feel that way with embroidery also, but cross stitch is my own thing ... as of now. Thank you SO much for your floss tubes - your quiet and calming nature, and your comments about learning from the past. Don't change, don't stop.
I am so glad to be back with you. I need to catch up, and I will. I loved everything you shared, but again, it is you beautiful, calming voice that I really appreciate. I enjoy the stitching discussion, and your haul, and everything about this lovely past-time of stitching. I cross stitch, knit, and quilt and fall down various rabbit 🕳️ holes. What I appreciated most was your guided meditation 💛. My daughter is a yoga teacher. And early in the COVID lockdown she did a daily guided meditation on her RUclips channel. She did it for herself, her students, her friends and family. No one could get together, she couldn’t go to work we were all isolated. It saved me and many others in those months. She lives in FL and I live in SD, and it was a fantastic time of connection. Your guided meditation helped me find that center I need in our chaotic world. Thank you, I need to do this more. It is even better for my soul than the stitching. I look forward to watching your next flosstubes. You do a wonderful, relaxing show. 🕊️ ☮️.
Just finished this second video and again, it was a joy. Even though I cannot relate to it and my life's experience has been so different almost from the start I loved the intro. It is so lovely, warm and welcoming, really happy for all those who are familiar with these experiences. In my youth creativity was my safe space, mostly drawing at the time, but a bit of cross stitch too (self taught , knots in all :-) ) , later came a lot of knitting and for the last 3,5 decades quilting (all made by hand, patchwork, applique and the actual quilting). Recently I discovered cross stitch again, samplers mostly , all because someone told me about flosstubes. I am soooo enjoying entering this new world and learning new things. I have yet to start my first big sampler project (already kitted though) right now I am following Nicola Parkman's tutorials to learn and an online course I bought but even those two projects seem a bit much, to decide which one I will spend time on.... I do believe that like you I am a monogamous stitcher. I would get very nervous and restless if I were to have a lot wip's, although as you said it is such fun seeing all the projects others work on. But hand stichting on one project is really kind of meditative I always thought and the end of this video made it all came together for me. I have never tried meditation before (" not for me " ;-) ) but I really enjoyed this, so thank you so much for that. I will come back to it and I was going to ask you to do this more often, but now I notice you have put up an extra video, I will watch that later on today. A lot of things that I love, enjoy, appreciate and need re hand sewing and hand stitching come together in your video's, so thank you so much for making these and sharing your experiences and past work (love it!) with us.
You are a wonderful woman. I'm from Ukraine. I lern English with you and enjoy such relaxing, calm and interesting videos. Thank you very much for your content
I have to tell you, I have watched this twice. Not only for the stitchy content, but to also just absorb some of your creativity. I wish I had been encouraged as a child to lean into that aspect of me. I not only enjoy being creative, i just really enjoy others art. And appreciate seeing all of it. Stitching has been my one hobby that I have always done. I dabble in everything and move on usually. You described it perfectly. It calms my anxiety immediately just to sit in my spot and get my things ready to stitch. My body knows what is coming and relaxes. The sound of the thread almost like the gentle snore of a beloved pet cuddled up with me. Your second offering to us is just as good as the first. Bravo!
I am beyond happy that I found your floss tube channel. I have watched both your videos twice and the intros two or three times (on both). The intros resonate with me especially the second intro. I am seventy one and basically I am a hand quilter who learned to quilt at my grandmother’s, my great aunt’s and my mother’s knees. I have always felt great joy and comfort in hand quilting. It is my one connection I share with these powerful and beautiful women whose blood and genes flow through my soul and body. I feel they are sitting around me when I am at my quilt. I also dabbled in cross stitch a bit in the eighties and nineties when my children were young and I also worked. Cross stitch was portable and easier to do while travelling back and forth to work. I liked that it kept my hands busy and filled a creative void that I needed. My children grew older and I was able to get back into quilting. I was never truly in love with the cross stitch style of that time period. Now that I have retired I find that I have a lot of free time and doing a bit more traveling. Again I need something more portable than a full sized quilt to take along. I happened, quite by accident, to come across floss tube while scrolling through RUclips. Wow have things change in the world of cross stitch! Like you I am a monogamous (not strictly--I have three projects on the go) stitcher. I pick a pattern because it speaks to me and calls to me and I fall in love with the project. I love working on it, I love seeing its progress and I want to see it through to the end. I think maybe quilting has taught me the patience to love the process. I try to understand how some have twenty to thirty WIPS on the goal but that would make me nervous and put pressure on me to drive me nuts. When you talked about the feel of the fabric and the sound of the thread going through the fabric I understood you perfectly. Sometimes I sit and gently run my fingers over my quilting. It calms me and puts me in a better space. I love the sound of thread being pulled through the fabric and the rhythmic movements Sorry this is turning into a novel but I am so excited to have found you. I thought I was the only one who was not buying and starting project after project with no finishes in sight. Also how you described what stitching means to you is how I feel. I cannot wait for your next video.
Thank you for the meditation. I’m 70 and spend a lot of time at home alone. I developed myasthenia gravis when I was 66 right before I retired. Needless to say I am not spending my retirement as I thought I would. So I’m happy to find new videos to watch and follow. I hope you will include meditation in your videos. Your voice is also very soothing which is so calming. I try to stitch and watch. I also make quilts. I love to finish them but have more fun starting a project. Again I thank you. BTW I had watched your first video too.
Oh Jackie! So fabulous from the touching beginning to the peaceful ending! I have to run to my file cabinet to find my saved ME paper dolls. Didn’t have to one with Maggie Lou, but enjoyed savoring them again. Maybe one day I’ll get to share them with my granddaughter and also pass on some stitching or crocheting. Love the passing of the traditions to your niece. Joyfully, I have one niece and one great niece who have embraced our other crafty family tradition of crocheting. Cherished memories. Thank you for all you’ve shared in just 2 videos! Your stitching is gorgeous!
What a lovely video! I so enjoyed visiting with you! Thank you for sharing all of your adventures...Your Gigi piece is stunning!! Would never have noticed the pattern based on the antique photo. Have always loved Mary Englebright's artistry. As you showed your paper dolls, I thought how sweet they would be stitched on perforated paper...though alot of stitching! Always loved paper dolls as a child. You're lucky to have sisters...wish I did. Happy Stitching!
Oh my, you are so delightful!! The sound of your voice was the icing on the cake! Thank you for sharing your story, your knowledge. EVERYTHING. Loved the end, what a wonderful few moments that I definitely needed & I’m sure I’m not alone. Love Archie & hearing about your other fur babies. I adored everything Mary E. Still have some of her books. Blessings till next time!!
Wow! Thank you for the gift of you! Truly it is glorious, your being here! As a retired RN, and health and wellness coach, I feel as if I have been revitalized with your video. Lovely. I have also always been a huge Mary Engelbreit fan, and have many of the paper dolls framed in my home- so precious to 'meet' someone who helped bring them to life. Lastly, a huge dog lover- love that one of your dogs was named Bonnie, my cousin once named her dog after me, Bonnie, and I found it to be one of the largest compliments I was ever given. Thank you again for your gift of sharing yourself.
Bonjour, je vous suis de France, j'aime énormément vos vodéos, les moments passés en votre compagnie !!! Archie est magnifique 😊 Merci pour ces beaux moments partagés ! Marylin
I too have joined the Comfort Stitcher train and was eagerly waiting for #2. I will enjoy watching your progress on this glorious project. The meditation moment at the end was simply sublime. Thank you, Jackie.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching. I love the unique style of your flosstube. It's inspirational and educational. My mind is fed while I'm stitching and watching. Loved the guided meditation. I hope you do it again in another video.
Thank you for all the information you have shared with us and your beautiful stitching. The meditation was so relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed. Hope you do that again at the end of each of your future flosstubes. Thank you.
Well what FUN! I loved all the stories, and the “stitchers’ meditation” is something I can get behind 100%! ( hey, this could be the beginning of something GREAT!)👏🏻👏🏻☺️💖. I think it would be fun if you would feature your sisters, either/or/both some time in the future! Your Archie is adorable too, and I love that you honor your other beautiful terriers that took a part of your heart when they continued on…. Enjoy your stitching, and I too will look forward to your next video - SO HAPPY that you will make more! ☺️💖
I absolutely love your approach to sharing! Your projects are beautiful & thoughtfully stitched. I’m a long time rug hooker & actually did a class with Emma Lou Lais in Liberty. It’s a lovely town. I came back to stitching just before the pandemic & I haven’t looked back! A bonus is the fantastic friends I’ve made along the way. Keep making videos, our community needs you 😊 and the guided meditation is icing on the cake. I can’t wait for #3
Love, love, love your videos, and look forward to seeing your projects come to fruition! I'm a fellow monogamous stitcher and enjoy hearing about your cross stitch world. Dug the meditation and hope there will be more!
I am really enjoying your video's. The guided mediation was just wonderful! Please keep coming back. I always love your paper dolls as well. I am doing to use this video for mediation when I need it!
How lovely that you worked for Mary E. I always loved her artwork! And thank you for sharing her dark line❤ And her magazine was great!! I cried when I saw Maggie Lou! And thank you Jackie for the meditation guidance! I do a stretch class 3xs a week at the YMCA and find myself completely in a meditative mode during but especially at the end of class. It always brings me to tears because I want to stay there (like after a massage...)
Hi Jackie - just wanted to thank you for sharing yourself and your stitching with us. I absolutely love your floss tube and so enjoy seeing the world through your eyes. This is true food for the heart. Thank you, sister.
I am so glad you did another floss tube. The time and thought you have put into these floss tubes is so appreciated. Thank you for everything you shared.
Being a monogamous stitcher, you fill your Floss Tube with so much interesting "stuff". I did enjoy the meditation as well - even tough, as you say, we are rather meditative when we stitch anyway. Looking forward to the next video.
Well, @brendasamplerstitcher was so right in asking us to stop what we were doing and watch you! I, too, am a monogamous stitcher…so, it’s comforting to know I’m not alone. That being said, thanks to flosstubes, I have many charts, kitted projects and an ever growing “wish” list - so enjoyable! Love Mary Englebreit! And, got her magazines specifically for the paper dolls! Brought sweet memories as a child getting the paper dolls from McCall’s. I don’t recall the “Georgia” paper doll - but, I’m now on the hunt as it’s my namesake! Your work was/is fabulous! Grateful for the guided meditation - cross stitching provides that for me daily❤️ Til next time…namaste
Your dog is adorable! Enjoyed hearing about the stitching stores in IL and WI and seeing your haul - especially the fabrics. Thank you for adding a DMC floss for each so we had a better idea of the true colors. Ending the day with a meditation after stitching was lovely.
I really appreciate that you compared your new linen to a DMC floss. Love your videos and can't wait for more. I was a Mary Englebreit fan and you inspired me to find her website.
Thank you for the wonderful FlossTube. You are a delight! What a joy to meet Archie. He has a beautiful face. I have enjoyed Mary Engelbreit through the years and appreciate the fascinating info about your connection with her. And your stitching is stunning!
OMGosh! Your next video won’t appear soon enough! Jackie, you have definitely raised the bar on Flosstube videos. Interesting content presented in such a thoughtful and purposeful manner! Just keep doing what you’re doing and we’ll all keep coming back. I’m glad you talked about your hooked rug. I forgot to mention it after your 1st video. It’s just so precious. And one last comment…little Aubrey. What a wonderful experience she had with you and your sisters. You may never know the full impact you made on her life. ❤
Never done a Meditation before and oh my that felt so good to do that. I am going to have to listen to my needle and thread and fabric to hear if it sounds like yours did. Thank you so much for the wonderful video. Your awesome to listen to and to see what you are stitching on. I will check out your suggestions of the FlossTubers. Happy Stitching.
First of all I love your video! I could sit and listen to you all day! I just moved back to Sycamore Illinois from Salt Lake City and was depressed because I no longer could go to Shepherds Bush and when you said there was a new cross stitch store in Roscoe I jumped for joy! That’s my old stomping grounds! I am so happy I found you!
Thank you, thank you Jackie for this new video and for the guided meditation ❤ it was such an amazing experience ❤️ I started practicing yoga a few months ago and I never thought about stitching meditation. The sound of the needle is especially heard with golden needles which I usually do not prefer but from today I will feel them differently 🙏 You are such a talented person in so many ways that I can shyly say you are one of the flosstubers I’d love to meet in person ❤ maybe one day ☺️ un abbraccio dall’Italia ❤
Another delightful video. I enjoy listening to your voice and I will not mind seeing your GigiR stitch over and over and please keep sharing your previous creations, I loved seeing your punch needle creations, such cute doggos!! Thank you for being part of my creative journey! Just FYI, I too leave the over dyed floss on their cards and add a punch hole for partially used threads and I use the floss drops for only DMC
You being you is the best video. This is MORE than a flosstube. Love your stitching and haul but love your story best of all and the meditation was wonderful.
Love your art. And wow thank you for bringing out the DMC colors while showing your fabric I could pull them out of my stitching box and know exactly what you were talking about great way to visualize it 😊 And I am a mostly monogamous stitcher as well so love it 🩷 Can’t wait to see more, And love that you guys sparked a new generation 🫶🏻 she may tell the story one day of how she learned on floss tube 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thank you for sharing what stitching means to you. I love you taking time to help us learn more about this art. I think I will start doing more research. I have just started recovering from a 25 year dark hole in my life from a traumatic event. As you started the meditation and guided us through focusing on the act of stitching, it came to me that I had picked up stitching after a long hiatus in 2020. I have known for a while that stitching is meditative for me. I think that stitching gave me the strength to finally delve deep with my therapist and have the breakthrough I had last June 27! Thank you for your guided meditation. It was a wonderful addition to the app I use. Looking forward to next time.
Yours is a simply beautiful channel. I am a monogamous stitcher also - it makes me nervous to have a bunch of projects waiting on me. I was watching this while taking a break at work and when you held up " Miss Bridget" , I uttered "OH MY GOD" and my colleague thought something was wrong🤣 I still have some of the Mary Englebreit magazines and one year decorated my porch for Halloween just like the cover. It was great fun! Thank you for sharing your work. And it looks like more than 10 people watched your first video 💗💗
Sent your video to my daughter wiih this message: She is VERY c a l m i n g 💗🪡🕊 Hopefully she will use your video to show her little girls? Herself? When they need to s l o w down for a bit. This type of peaceful stitching video is so helpful. Thank you. Love that Powers chart & your imaginative story about her i hope you will share as you enjoy progress on her amazingly beautiful chart. I think she had an elder that was very good to her as was my Betty, who tended to me so lovingly when i was a young child. She impersonated the love, compassion, and understanding of Christ & Mother Mary that your voice imbues. Therefore she, being greatly supplied with pretty resources, was inspired to create her Thank You Stitch. An absolutely tremendous Blessing to be sure. As is this channel. YWHW be With you.
Oh my GOODNESS!! Just the intro! It’s exactly true and so lovely. I’ve stopped it right here to just say this . I’ve made all my dear non stitching friends watch the intro of number one because it just says it all… and now this one. It literally made me tear up. Oh my gosh. Thank you. Ok on to watch the rest once I clear my eyes :-) ❤
I'm so glad that your channel popped up as a recommendation! My grandparents adopted two dogs as puppies that were described as airedales when I was quite young. They were wonderful with my sister and I, but knowing what I know about dogs now and looking at pictures of them, I'm pretty sure that they were mixed with Irish Wolfhound (smile). I'm going to admit that I have a fabric problem lol. It's probably a good thing for me that the closest LNS to me closed when the owners retired... I honestly have NO business buying another piece of fabric. EVER! I love your choices and descriptions, though. i so admire people who do 50 starts for their 50th birthday or 60 for their 60th... it seems so decadent and like it would be so much fun to kit and start that many pieces. I know, though, that for me, at the end of that year I'd be completely stressed because I would feel pressured to continue to work on each one. 🪡👠
As a long-time needleworker and yoga practitioner, this video was a wonderful way to spend part of this glorious Sunday morning. The meditation was sublime. Thank you!
Just wanted to say that I am SO enjoying you. I used to take Mary's magazine and saved the paper doll patterns! I am also a monogamous stitcher and feel a bit overwhelmed when cross stitchers pull out their 35 WIPS to share. Loved the guided meditation you finished this episode with as I've been in a yoga class for 6 years and find thoughtful words such a calming element. I had never considered the slow individual stitches, their sound as they pass through the cloth, the snip sound of the sharp little scissors as part of the enjoyment of the craft...heaven! XO
I enjoyed seeing your progress on Bridget Powers 1840. The flowers are stunning and I loved hearing the representation of each flower. Thanks for sharing more about working for Mary Engelbreit. I did not know that she had a magazine at one time. The paper items that you created are adorable. I have been quilting for over 20 years and have a lot of fabric. I even have some Mary Engelbreit fabric. Looking forward to the SAL in December.
Thanks for all the beautiful inspiration! You truly are a calming and special person. Loved the Mary Englebright line. Especially the paper dolls. You did a fantastic job on them. 😊❤ Will be waiting for your next flosstube. Love this ending.God Bless you.
Well, I was looking forward to your 2nd video after I watched the 1st, which was “Great”!! Just experienced the 2nd & ….. YOU ARE one very special lady with beautiful skills. Thank you for sharing with us. Enjoyed the video & learning about your projects. LOVED the meditation, first time I’ve done this, closing my eyes & listening to the thread go thru the fabric was a comfort & your voice was an easy guide. Looking forward to the 3rd !! Thank you, Jackie !!
What a joy to have found you. Thank you for your lovely company and love of craft. I’m in bed with a bad back so the meditation was very welcome. Happy stitching and keep safe and well. Gail ❤
Wow!!!! Jackie, what just happened?? Never did I take the time to meditate, of course , I cross stitch, quilt or knit because I notice it does something to me. But never did I take the time to "only/just" meditate, to busy, so many things that had priority. Allthough in my last comment, on your first floss tube, I was one of the people who said I loved your voice. So this time I decided to stay for the guided meditation, "let's just take this once the time and listen/try and let it in. But you stopped so soon, I was moved, tears but also a big smile. So really THANK YOU, I mean that, thank you for the experience. And please come back with this! -xx- Marion, Netherlands.
Thank you for the guided meditation. Really liked it. Love the gloves you made and hearing about your trip. I am a 71 year old crafter of all types (knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, Quilting, etc.). I am really glad I found your channel. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! I could go on and on. Yes, your soothing voice is what brought me back. I am not interested in how many stitches done, percentages, or high energy videos. Mary Englebreit, okay, that's my jam. I had all the dolls and gave them to my daughter when they would appear. She played with them for hours. Well done!! I have pulmonary fibrosis (yeah, not curable, but "don't cry for me Argentina," because I had 30 seconds of "oh woe is me," and that is over with. It is not curable, but manageable. I follow SewmeSarah, and we connected through her 50 starts for her 50th birthday. I laughingly said that I was going to turn 80 this year, so maybe I should do 80 starts. Life has a way of telliing one what to do. All projects were assembled, kitted up to the fiber part, and then I got RSV virus. Sick for six weeks, which I believe gave me the fibrosis flareup. Spent six days in hospital, and stiching to my "orders from headquarters," looking forward to getting some extra help. Sorry, too long, but I really like your videos. Have a blessed weekend.
Oh my gosh! I loved your first video and now you have a second, yeah! I am a fan of yours for sure. I have never tried meditation before, thinking that I could never settle my mind. But I truly enjoyed that little bit. I kind of got into the sound of the thread going through the fabric. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much. You are truly special. I was taught to sew when I was four by my grandmother and cherish the memories. I sew, quilt, knit, stitch, and watercolor. Creating every day is a need.
I'm just catching up with my watch later on You tube and caught your second video, having thoroughly enjoyed the first. Loved your haul and monogamous stitching. This last month I too have just focused on one of my projects....loved it and was much more productive. I did laugh though, the meditation was so successful that I nodded off and found myself half way through the next video on my list.! Thank you for sharing. ❤
Delightful! So happy you've joined this community....you've perfectly described the nuance of stitching and why it brings such joy and contentment. It is a dance. Look forward to seeing you again!❤😊
I am in the U.K. and stumbled across your lovely channel at the end of a difficult week. I settled in with a cup of tea and was just blown away by your beautiful Floss Tube. Thank you for your generosity in sharing so much to inspire and lift the spirit. Happy stitching - enjoy your time with Bridget Power 🪡
So glad you are doing flosstube! This was wonderful. Love the meditation and the sound of needle and thread through fabric - such a satisfying sound. 💗
We share a love for terriers and stitching. Over the years I’ve had Scottie’s and Norwich Terriers. Thank you for sharing Archie and pictures of your Airedale. God loves a terrier❤ 🐾🪡
Hello again, I just ordered Bridget Powers. I ordered the chart the fabric and the floss. Yours is so beautiful I could not resist so I will be doing Bridget along with the four seasons. Thank you for the inspiration.
I too like to finish one project before starting a new one. I’m trying to finish an afghan before starting a stitch project. I don’t mind multiple small projects but a big project just HAS to be finished before starting another big project.
Thank you. Your words and presence are so calming in this rushed world we live in. I loved the meditation and had never thought to connect it to my stitching. You are such a refreshing soul. I look forward to video # 3! Blessings to you, Sue
Thank you for the floss tube and for the meditative moment. I heard tying a thread knot at the eye of the needle will keep silk thread from becoming unthreaded. I now do this with all my threads. Certainly the needle stays threaded with a bonus “pop” as the thread goes in and out of the linen. I adore that pop. That pop gives my heart joy and calms my spirit. The sounds of stitching. Comforting.
Your video's opening made such a sentimental connection to memories of my grandmother sharing her needlework with me. Thank you for expressing it so beautifully! I love your stitching and find hearing and seeing it through an artist's eyes to be fascinating. I also found your work with Mary Engelbright to be so interesting. Just a few days ago I was having a conversation with my 94 year old mother in law about when she played with paper dolls. She had Gone with the Wind dolls and others of movies from her childhood. I remember playing with Betsy McCall. The dolls and clothing that you illustrated are wonderful!
Thank you for this flosstube and the meditation. I loved the paper dolls you designed for Mary’s magazine. Spent many hours playing with my grands with them. Such lovely memories! ❤
This was really just lovely! I think your next career may be as the host of needlework show on public television! I’m also in MO (St. Louis) and as a “90s kid” of course have a ton of nostalgia for Ms. Mary Engelbreit! So fun to hear about your experiences working for her and see your artwork. We are terrier lovers too- grew up with jaunty little Wire Fox terriers, my parents had a welsh terrier who lived to the ripe old age of 18, my sister has an Irish and we have a wheaten named Nuala Boo (New-luh). So meeting your sweet Archie and hearing about Maggie was a delight too... And I haven’t even gotten to the cross stitch 🤣🤣 We’re actually headed to WI in just a couple weeks and had all your stops on our list (and now I’ve definitely added bee-youtiful in hopes of seeing the Shakespeare’s peddler trunk show), I’m so excited! My 11 year old is my stitching best friend and enjoys the shopping aspect too, haha. Basically everything was amazing and I’m truly enjoying getting to “know” you through your flosstube episodes. Loved the seeing your beautiful stitching, hearing your thoughts, and the lovely meditation at the end. I stitched on my Pennsylvania Christmas Deer while you guided us through it! ❤️
You are a wonderful addition to our flosstube community! I enjoyed your 2 videos so much! Closing with the meditation is so relaxing, I hope you decide to make it a regular feature!
I enjoy getting to know you through your Flosstube!! I have almost all of the Home Companion magazines!!! I loved them so much that I couldn’t get rid of them!!! Love your haul! Can’t wait to see you next time!!!
Hi Jackie, Thanks for another great video! Your Bridget Powers is beautiful - I look forward to seeing your progress on her. You have certainly had an interesting career! I used to subscribe to the Mary Englebreit magazine and loved those paper dolls! I'm amazed that I now know someone who actually created them! I hope you are having an enjoyable summer and thank you for the guided meditation. You certainly do have the perfect voice for that experience.
Thank you for another beautiful and relaxing visit with you. I love the music you've selected for your channel and the narration you do at the beginning of your video 😊. I enjoyed the meditation at the end and hope you'll do more in the future! It's so true that stitching is such a meditative act. Your Bridget Powers piece looks stunning! I'm so glad to hear Barbara Anna has made the Four Seasons pattern available again. I was fortunate enough to get the kit for that thru Nitka when it was available. I've stitched the girls separately. They were such an enjoyable stitch and it didn't take long to do each one at all. I love the results! I also enjoy stitching monogamously and developing a "relationship" with the piece I'm stitching on. I love seeing the variety of things other flosstubers show that they are stitching on, but I'm glad that someone from "Team Monogamous" is sharing the joys of stitching monogamously on Flosstube as well😊. Loved hearing about your time with Mary Engelbreit, and, oh!!...paper dolls!!❤❤❤ How I loved them when I was little! Happy stitching!
I just loved the guided meditation. It was what I needed to end the weekend. It was also lovely to hear about Mary Engelbreit. My mother lived paper dolls. I used to buy the magazines and send her the paper dolls - and I lover the interior design features. For some reason she could never find the magazine and she was always so tickled to get the paper dolls in the mail. She kept them in a scrapbook.
You brought tears to my eyes just with your intro. It reminded me of my mom and learning to sew, the old sewing machine and a wonderful box of buttons! Thank you 💕🧵🪡
Thank you for another “must see and experience” flosstube, I was totally into Mary englebreit since the 90s and have all the magazines loved the paper dolls too. You are so talented. Loved to see and hear your Archie . The icing on the cake was the meditation you led for us along with my old Basset hound snoring away I fell deep in. Thank you!!! Looking forward to next time. Enjoy your stitching!
Floss tube has needed your style and approach for quite some time. Honest, straightforward, creative and joyous. Thankyou for the guided meditation. Loved it.
Thank you! 😊

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. 🧡
I feel that way with embroidery also, but cross stitch is my own thing ... as of now. Thank you so much for sharing and for your kind words! 🩷🧵🪡
I loved paper dolls when I was young! I remember the Betsy McCall ones and remember cutting them out.
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!
Thanks so much for watching and for sharing and for giving the meditation a try. I appreciate you being here. 🧡
You are a wonderful woman. I'm from Ukraine. I lern English with you and enjoy such relaxing, calm and interesting videos. Thank you very much for your content
Thank you! 😃
Thank you so much for the information and for stitching with me
I have to tell you, I have watched this twice. Bravo!
Thanks so much for sharing! I love your description of the sound of the floss being like a beloved sleeping pet. That’s perfect! 💚
Thank you! I love your spirit and calm nature. 💜
Thank you so much for watching!
I love the sound of thread being pulled through the fabric and the rhythmic movements
Sorry this is turning into a novel but I am so excited to have found you. I thought I was the only one who was not buying and starting project after project with no finishes in sight. Also how you described what stitching means to you is how I feel.
I cannot wait for your next video.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey, Sharon. We are all connected. 🩷
I loved that thing at the end. Please have more. ❤❤❤
I loved that thing at the end. Please have more. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words! 🩷
Thank you so much! 💚
Awww, thank you so much for your very kind words! 🩷🩷🩷
Bonjour, je vous suis de France, j'aime énormément vos vodéos, les moments passés en votre compagnie !!! Archie est magnifique 😊 Merci pour ces beaux moments partagés !
Marylin
Thank you so much, Marilyn! 🩷
I too have joined the Comfort Stitcher train and was eagerly waiting for #2. I will enjoy watching your progress on this glorious project. The meditation moment at the end was simply sublime. Thank you, Jackie.
Oh thank you! 🩷
Wonderful video! I really enjoyed the ending. The sound of thread going through linen/aida is so soothing!!❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching. I love the unique style of your flosstube. It's inspirational and educational. My mind is fed while I'm stitching and watching. Loved the guided meditation. I hope you do it again in another video.
Thank you so much! 😊
Just when I thought I couldn’t love watching you more, you throw in a stitching meditation. My heart is full ❤
Oh thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing your stitching, your haul, and the meditation at the end! looking forward to your next video!!
You are so welcome!
You are very special in every way !! Thank you for your FlossTube beginning to end. What a special ending it was! ❤️
Thank you so much!
Thank you for all the information you have shared with us and your beautiful stitching. The meditation was so relaxing and thoroughly enjoyed. Hope you do that again at the end of each of your future flosstubes. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!
Thank you for bringing your style to flosstube, luv the meditation piece at the end!!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much!😊
I absolutely love your approach to sharing! I can’t wait for #3
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your kind words. 🩷
Love, love, love your videos, and look forward to seeing your projects come to fruition! I'm a fellow monogamous stitcher and enjoy hearing about your cross stitch world. Dug the meditation and hope there will be more!
After seeing those sweet paper dolls, i cant wait for you to start designing cross stitch patterns!!!
Enjoyed your Flosstube! Your Bridget Power 1840 stitching is amazing. TFS.
Thank you so much!
I am really enjoying your video's. The guided mediation was just wonderful! Please keep coming back. I always love your paper dolls as well. I am doing to use this video for mediation when I need it!
Thank you so much!
You are so welcome! 🙏
Never noticed how a needle pulling thread sounds like a soft sleeping car purr. Must be another reason why I like stitching. 😻
It does!
Hi Jackie - just wanted to thank you for sharing yourself and your stitching with us. I absolutely love your floss tube and so enjoy seeing the world through your eyes. This is true food for the heart. Thank you, sister.
Thank you so much!
I am so glad you did another floss tube. The time and thought you have put into these floss tubes is so appreciated. Thank you for everything you shared.
Thank you! 🧡
2 minutes in and I’m crying. Your words resonate so much. Your approach is so calming and joyous. Thank you for sharing with us.❤❤❤
You are so welcome! 🩷
Being a monogamous stitcher, you fill your Floss Tube with so much interesting "stuff". I did enjoy the meditation as well - even tough, as you say, we are rather meditative when we stitch anyway. Looking forward to the next video.
Thank you!
Loved the meditation. I just love to listen to you and what you are stitching.
Oh thank you!
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words!
Another wonderful visit with you! Thank you so much!
I love the intros at your videos.❤
Your dog is adorable! Enjoyed hearing about the stitching stores in IL and WI and seeing your haul - especially the fabrics. Thank you for adding a DMC floss for each so we had a better idea of the true colors. Ending the day with a meditation after stitching was lovely.
Thank you so much! 😊
Truly a calming way to start my morning as the rain tumbles to the ground and dances down my rain chain
Thank you
Wonderful!
Oh, thank you so much!! I plan on coming back for more-😊
Thank you for being a little different. I find it very interesting.
Keep up the good work! ❤
Glad you came back for Episode #2. Enjoyed the meditation ending😊 Looking forward to #3, See you soon...Kellie In Michigan
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! 💚
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words!
I absolutely love your intro. Fabulous Gigi R sampler, I for one won’t get tired of seeing your progress.
I absolutely agree AND I ordered the chart!!! You are fabulous!!
Oh, thank you so much, Rafaella! I so appreciate your kind words. 🩷
Thank you!
You being you is the best video. This is MORE than a flosstube. Love your stitching and haul but love your story best of all and the meditation was wonderful.
Thank you! 🧡
Love your art. And wow thank you for bringing out the DMC colors while showing your fabric I could pull them out of my stitching box and know exactly what you were talking about great way to visualize it 😊
And I am a mostly monogamous stitcher as well so love it 🩷
Can’t wait to see more,
And love that you guys sparked a new generation 🫶🏻 she may tell the story one day of how she learned on floss tube 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
You are so welcome! Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing, Kathy. 🩷 I’m so glad the meditation was comforting for you. Blessings to you. 🙏
☺️ Thanks so much!
Sent your video to my daughter wiih this message:
She is VERY
c a l m i n g 💗🪡🕊
Hopefully she will use your video to show her little girls?
Thanks for watching, for sharing your thoughts on Bridget, and for your kind words! Blessings to you. 🩷
Thank you so much!!
🪡👠
Wow another great podcast. Loved everything about it! Such an inspiration.
This is such a beautiful channel. Truly love it. ❤ from Costa Rica.
Thank you so much!🩷
As a long-time needleworker and yoga practitioner, this video was a wonderful way to spend part of this glorious Sunday morning. The meditation was sublime. Thank you!
🙏🩷
Just wanted to say that I am SO enjoying you. I used to take Mary's magazine and saved the paper doll patterns! I am also a monogamous stitcher and feel a bit overwhelmed when cross stitchers pull out their 35 WIPS to share. Loved the guided meditation you finished this episode with as I've been in a yoga class for 6 years and find thoughtful words such a calming element. I had never considered the slow individual stitches, their sound as they pass through the cloth, the snip sound of the sharp little scissors as part of the enjoyment of the craft...heaven! XO
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and that I gave you a new perspective on your stitching. 🧡☺️
Thank you so much! 😊
Thanks for all the beautiful inspiration! You truly are a calming and special person. Loved the Mary Englebright line. Especially the paper dolls. You did a fantastic job on them. 😊❤ Will be waiting for your next flosstube. Love this ending.God Bless you.
You are a gift to our stitching family!❤
😊
Well, I was looking forward to your 2nd video after I watched the 1st, which was “Great”!! Just experienced the 2nd & ….. YOU ARE one very special lady with beautiful skills. Thank you for sharing with us. Enjoyed the video & learning about your projects. LOVED the meditation, first time I’ve done this, closing my eyes & listening to the thread go thru the fabric was a comfort & your voice was an easy guide. Looking forward to the 3rd !! Thank you, Jackie !!
Thank you so much! I’m so glad it resonated with you! 💜
What a joy to have found you. Thank you for your lovely company and love of craft. I’m in bed with a bad back so the meditation was very welcome. Happy stitching and keep safe and well. Gail ❤
You are so welcome
I’m so happy it worked for you! Marion! That made my day, 🩷
Loved the meditation and hearing your voice! So calm, soothing, and informative! Thank you.
I’m so sorry you are going through such a rough patch! I’m glad you are finding bright spots and solace in stitches.
Thanks for your kind words! 🩷
Oh my gosh! I loved your first video and now you have a second, yeah! I am a fan of yours for sure. I have never tried meditation before, thinking that I could never settle my mind. But I truly enjoyed that little bit. I kind of got into the sound of the thread going through the fabric. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
😊🩷
Thank you so much. You are truly special. I was taught to sew when I was four by my grandmother and cherish the memories. I sew, quilt, knit, stitch, and watercolor. Creating every day is a need.
Wow - just love your videos - especially the intros - keep it up!
Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching and sharing. 🩷
Delightful! So happy you've joined this community....you've perfectly described the nuance of stitching and why it brings such joy and contentment. It is a dance. Look forward to seeing you again!❤😊
Thank you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it.
I absolutely love coming here. Such a relaxing place to settle in. Like a visit over coffee with a friend.
Thanks for visiting and for your kind words.
Thank you, Jackie. I am a bit ferklempt, wordless, heart full, and truly comforted. ❤
💜🩷🧡
We share a love for terriers and stitching. Over the years I’ve had Scottie’s and Norwich Terriers. Thank you for sharing Archie and pictures of your Airedale. God loves a terrier❤ 🐾🪡
Thanks for sharing!!
Hello again, I just ordered Bridget Powers. I ordered the chart the fabric and the floss. Yours is so beautiful I could not resist so I will be doing Bridget along with the four seasons. Thank you for the inspiration.
Wonderful!
Thank you!
Thanks so much for sharing. 😊😊🩷
Thank you for this flosstube and the meditation. I loved the paper dolls you designed for Mary’s magazine. Spent many hours playing with my grands with them. Such lovely memories! ❤
Wonderful! Thank you!
Aww, thanks so much for watching, sharing , and for your kind words. Have a wonderful trip!
You are a wonderful addition to our flosstube community!
I enjoyed your 2 videos so much! Closing with the meditation is so relaxing, I hope you decide to make it a regular feature!
Thank you so much for sharing yourself with Flosstube!
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much!
What a treat! I am so happy to have found you. I think you need to do a meditation at the end of every video. It was wonderful.
Thank you! I’m not sure I’ll do it every time but you’ll see it again. ☺️
Team monogamous!! 🙌🙌🙌 Thanks so much for your kind words!
Omg ,love your needlework
So my tribe ! Thanks for sharing
So inspiring
You brought tears to my eyes just with your intro. It reminded me of my mom and learning to sew, the old sewing machine and a wonderful box of buttons! Thank you 💕🧵🪡
You are so welcome!
Me too!
You are so welcome! Thanks for your kind words. 🍒🩷
