Thank you for another wonderful visit. I found your comments interesting regarding what one stitches. I stitch what brings me joy. I am accumulating a little pile of finishes. Not everything can be framed due to cost and available wall space. I am thinking some may become little quilts or project bags. I am ready to go with your 4 seasons sal. I am looking forward to stitching the ladies and for the fun of stitching and sharing with others, I stitch in isolation so having stitchy friends who share my passion is something i am looking toward. I know times are tough. Let’s make the bet of it. Be ever Blessed.
Thank you for coming back. Well, I just found you in your first video and I am playing catch-up. But I so enjoy what you have to say, what you show and how relaxed/calm you are. Tomorrow is another day with which I can get a couple more under my belt.
Thanks for another wonderful floss tube Jackie. Look forward to them always. Megan
@@Megan-d8g Thank you so much. 🩷
Great video. Your stitching is beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
I watched on Sunday, but came back again on Wednesday to listen to your meditation again. Such a gift and a comfort. Your voice is so soothing. It was good to focus on my surroundings- the feeling of my hand knitted socks and sweater and to observe the colors - soft reds, corals and aquas, my framed cross stitch pieces and many knitted shawls. And tonight we finally have rain and strong winds. It’s been such a stressful time; I can barely listen to the radio (NPR) any more. I have gone to my local library and checked out one after another a whole shelf of Agatha Christie mysteries. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences - how difficult it must be to process the loss of your friend and manager in the midst of these uncertain times. It’s so good to have the work of our hands to quiet our minds.
Thanks so much for sharing and for your kind words of support. I really appreciate it. 🩷
yes!! Prairie home companion.....Garrison Keilor.....I am that old!!
Me, too! Obviously, LOL! I loved “A Prairie Home Companion.“ I even saw it performed live a couple of times.
❤. A lovely video Jackie. I’m so sorry for the loss of your co-worker/friend. ❤❤
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words of support. 🩷

Thank you, Erica. 🩷
Lovely video, Jackie. My husband is getting familiar with your voice and the subject matter of your videos…tonight, when you were talking about Bridget, he said, “Didn’t she talk about this the last time?” LOL
😁 Your husband will have to hear me talk about Bridget for a little while longer. Haha! Thanks for sharing. 🩷
The meditation was so helpful to focus my senses. Thank you for leading us thru. Archie is so handsome. Yes, my dog is camera-shy too. I hope you talk about white stitches …. Such a problem for me if in significant patches. Any tips??
I’m glad the meditation was beneficial for you! I think people looked at the altar on the Bridget sampler and thought it was done in white, but it was actually cream colored floss. I’m going to do a little experimentation with white stitches and see what I find out. Stay tuned.
Thank you, Jackie. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend and co-worker. There have been many of us who are coping with the results. I appreciated the meditation. Stitching, as always, is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much for your support, Sarah. 😘🩷
Thank you Jackie for sharing with us. I am so sorry for your loss of your manager. I am sure praying for you. How hard that has been for you, I am sure. Thank you for leading us in the meditation. I so enjoy your floss tubes each time. Love your stitching. Take care.
Thank you, Julie. I really appreciate the support. 🩷
I happen to be stitching on Sapphire fabric by Fiber on a Whim and black shows up great. Just thought you’d like to know. Thank you for making another video.
Thanks for letting me know!
I use a pretty satin shower cap to cover my magnifyier! I listened to my hubby snore during your meditation!
That's a great idea!
Ordered the Gigi R sampler and DMC conversion for the threads. Love your vlogs
Thank you!
Great progress on Bridget, so very pretty. Happy that you got into Sampler Symposium. Marilyn
Thank you, Marilyn. 🩷
Thank you for addressing your feelings about the election result, mine are the same and so it has been such a stressful time since….for so many. I am just breathing in and out and feeling so much better after your meditation today. Thank you Jackie.
Thank you for sharing, Kathy. The present moment is really all we know for sure. 🩷
Thank you for a beautiful meditation. Antoinette is looking beautiful. There’s something about a red sampler ♥ sorry for your loss. Take good care and Happy Stitching 🌸💞🌸
Thank you so much for your kind words. 🩷
I too am experiencing a few life changes in a short period of time... I sometimes feel like I'm being squeezed!! Someone reminded me that squeezing isn't always a bad thing as that is how Olive Oil and wine are made... or the old saying about Lemons and Lemonade... Life goes on and so will I... I'm happy to have my stitching that helps to keep me grounded😊
I’m sorry you’re feeling such pressure. I love your olive/olive oil analogy, though! Thanks for sharing and I hope things ease up soon. 🍋🫒🩷
Hi Jackie First, condolences on the death of your friend. I think I have been feeling much the same way you since the election. For days after I didn't watch the news. I am so sad and embarrassed both by, and for, our country. I cannot comprehend how people I know know and love voted the way they did. I ask myself "why do I think I am right?" But I know that I am. I have such fears for the immigrant families as well as other things. From comments I have read above, many of your viewers feel the same. Thanks for letting me vent to you.
Thank you for your support and for sharing, Kay. It’s not an easy time for a lot of parents right now, and in a variety of areas of their lives. I continue to look for, and create, sparks of joy where I can. 🩷
I am so very sorry for the loss of your young friend and co-worker. The election results are anxiety laden for so many of us who believe America is better than this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your beautiful work. I appreciate you for giving of yourself to all of us, more than you can know.
Thanks so much for your support and kind words. 🩷
Yes with loss and the election would definitely be a depression. I felt the same way that Wed morning.
Thanks for sharing. 🩷
Thank you for sharing you beautiful work with us. And of course your healing meditations. I have been in a terrible state of sadness since the election too. I’m terribly fearful for the health of our children and grandchildren, the safety of my gay family members and friends, the people with special needs and just the overall hate for people that aren’t like them. So much uncaring for others. Stitching can center us and take our minds off the negative. The loss of those we care about is one of the hardest things we have to process so I hope time and memories bring you peace. 💗
You mention Prairie Home Companion and I thought of the scene in The Prairie Home Companion Movie when an elderly stage hand dies and it is said “It’s not a tragedy when an old man dies.” However, it is very sad when a young person dies, especially unexpectedly. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve tagged you with my photos of a chatelaine I bought at a quilt show. All the pieces are sterling silver and semi-precious stones. They are all new pieces made by an artist. It was my first trip after covid and I treated myself to what I consider an heirloom. I’m excited to stitch Miss Winter with you and Sarah.
Thank you, Ann. The chatelaine is lovely. Definitely an heirloom piece. Thanks for sharing it with me. I’m excited to stitch Miss Winter, too! ❄️❄️❄️
Thank you for the gift of this Flosstube. I truly appreciate the time you devote and the thoughtfulness you bring to us. I have been deeply saddened these past weeks. I admire your truthfulness and courage to be true to your values. Your meditation helped me so much to feel grounded and safe in my space.
You are so welcome. Thank you. 🩷
Hello Jackie Lovely to spend some time with you while I stitch, you certainly do give Comfort. Sorry to hear of your Loss, thank you for sharing.. I put my stitching down and Enjoyed your Meditation Talk.. Take Care x❤ Maree 🇦🇺

Thank you so much for keeping me company this afternoon while I worked. 😊 I am always so happy to see your updates. That Notions book is amazing! I think I need to add it to my library.
You are so welcome! You probably do want that book, it’s gorgeous!
Common theme in my conversations with stitchy friends lately is stitching (thank goodness) but also anxiety post-election but finding joy where I can. I am very sorry for your loss but am glad you have Archie to keep you company. Thank you for the video, beautiful stitching, and the meditation at the end. It was lovely ❤
Thank you, Audrey. 🩷
Hello. I really like the 4 girls you’re starting soon. I think framing them separately and hanging in your hall or bedroom would be great to enjoy your work each day you look at them. Just a suggestion 😊
So sorry for the loss of your friend. I listened to the same music you mentioned and it helped me also. I also pray often.
Thank you for being a safe place to visit as I process the many things that are happening in today's world. I am a recent returning stitcher, stitching in the 80s and 90s, changing to knitting exclusively during the 2000's. Stitching is bringing me comfort, painting with thread.
Thanks for being here. I’m glad your stitching is bringing you comfort. 🩷
Thanks for another great Flosstube. I enjoy the peacefulness of your videos. And yes, we always want to see Archie. Our dogs are very important!

Thank you so much for sharing. I really needed the grounding meditation you led. It has been a very tough few weeks and scary to know what might be ahead. I'm still processing and probably will be but this moment of meditation really helped. I'm so sorry for your loss at work. That is so sad to hear. Sending you love and positive thoughts. Thanks again!
Thank you, Andrew. We find peace where we can. 🩷
Jackie you’re such an inspiration and I so enjoy and look forward to your videos. Ignore the negatives because I’m with you on your views. So sorry to hear about your manager. Heartbreaking and so sudden for someone so young. You have many friends - me included. Praying for you and for our country. See you next time. ❤
Thank you, Marilyn. I appreciate the kind words and support. 🩷
Thank you 🙏

Bridgett was young w/ most likely good eyes. I remember stitching in almost dark light. My dad always said put a lamp over your left shoulder. I didn’t need to, because shadows didn’t bother me then. But now at 74, shadows are near impossible for stitching!!! Horrors. Young eyes are wonderful!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Manager and friend. I lost my 90 year old Mother in July and the grief process has been a roller coaster of ups and downs, I take it one day at a time and sometimes one hour at a time. I too am reeling from the outcome of the election and I am striving to remain calm and kind, stitching helps and seeing a new Flosstube from you was such a bright spot in my day! Thank you for sharing with us, blessings and peace to you Jackie! <3
I’m sorry for your loss. Grief is a roller coaster for sure, and it takes as long as it takes. Thanks for sharing. 🩷
Your thought provoking flosstube continues to amaze me. The way you organize your thoughts and present your stitchy process is inspiring. Please accept my sincere condolences in regards to the passing of your friend. Loss is hard. Be patient with yourself as there is no timeline on grief. Good days do eventually come back and help you make it through those bad ones. Thank you for being a unique voice in this community. Your meditations are most enjoyable.
Thank you for your kind words. 🩷
Jackie… my heart just goes out to you. So much so that I’m struggling to give this the right words. So much I need to say…. When we talk next . ❤

I really appreciate your video. It is, in fact, very comforting. I listened with headphones and I could hear the train. I loved that. I grew up near railroad tracks, so hearing that sound was both nostalgic and comforting. My condolences for your loss. He was a very young man. And lastly, I needed this grounding meditation. There is a lot going on in the world. I will save this video to play when I am experiencing tough days. Thank you for being you. I hope you have a peaceful week.
Thank you, B…I appreciate your kind words. 🩷
Please share your tips for organizing. I am moving and am kind of at a loss of how to set up a new space.
I wish I had some good tips for organizing. My studio is kind of a mess. 😱
I love the Antoinette Sampler its absolutely gorgeous, it's got such depth on 56 ct. I could stitch Alphabets all day long. I was born in the Victorian era everything was so beautiful.
I totally agree! Thank you! 🩷
The first thing I noticed today was how lovely you look in the color pink. A few random thoughts. A good friend, who owned a needlework shop here, lost almost her whole home to a fire which began with her magnifying lamp. The sun came through the skylights and ignited a chair. So a very important lesson. Loved your review of books, and I too collect a variety for inspiration. Have stopped watching the news, and am trying to find ways to add joy to my life. Thank goodness for stitching and for the wonderful flosstubes which give us comfort in these troubled times. Thank you for bringing us a sense of calm. I am so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. Hugs 🤗 to you.
Thank you for your kind words, Judy. I appreciate them. I’ve had to stop watching the news also. I do keep up with headlines so I’m not completely in the dark, however. But I am trying to find things to watch that are more light hearted. 🩷
So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Sending thoughts and prayers your way. Thank you for the meditation - I am usually resistant to it, but really need to open up to new ideas to cope with anxiety. I feel that anxiety is more common today, the world is an unsettling place at the moment. I certainly have the wrong kind of job for an anxious personality! It is great to hear the positive news that you are going to Sampler Symposium.
Thank you, Sarah. Sometimes I just have to sit back and think, wow, what an interesting time we are living in. 🩷
T,hank you so much for this video. So enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing your journey, in stitching, in your research, in what you find joyful and what stimulates you, all these things. It is so inspiring. Thank you.
Thank you, Virginia. 🩷
Dear Jackie, thank you for sharing yourself with us all.... The past few years have brought so many challenges for so many of us, haven't they. I am deeply grateful for avenues like Flosstube where we can connect on many levels with one another and share bits and pieces of our journeys with one another. It helps. I thank the Lord for the comfort found in friends, even those friends whom i have never met in person. Blessings, my friend. Oh! Bridget is so beautiful....do you find a bit of sadness when you finish a substantial project? There is a communication that seems to go on when I am working on a project. :)
Thank you, Debbie. 🩷 Yes, I will definitely miss Bridget when the sampler is finished. She’s taken me on quite a journey since I began stitching her sampler in March. I will never forget her.
Smile~Just as it should be~@@ComfortStitchingJackie
Thank you for the guided meditation as well as the rest of the episode. It's always so lovely to spend time with you. I wish you peaceful days ahead.
Thank you! 🩷
Jackie, I am so sorry to hear sbout the passing of your friend. May he rest in peace. I heard you say that, with everything thats happened, that it weighed heavy on you. Funnily enough I hadn't heard that expression before, though I understood exactly what you meant. My youngest brother visited this afternoon. He is a chaplain in a number of schools & recently one of the teachers died suddenly, around the same age as your friend. Patrick was very involved with the funeral & he said this afternoon how heavy it all felt. We both really enjoy reading so he brought me a number of books he thought I'd enjoy. While I enjoy stitching & it can provide distraction in troubled times, reading is my ultimate escape. I can lost in a book & leave the world behind. Bridget is really coming on. I love the altar cloth. I've no doubt you'll finish it before the symposium. Congratulations on getting a place. I look forward to hearing all about it. I'm trying to finish the MFE 2023 SAL Reaching Skywards by years end as well. Ideally, I'd like to start 2025 with a clean slate but we'll see. Jon will be having radiotherapy in the New Year so there'll be a lot of hanging around for a few weeks. So I'm hoping to have a numbet of projects ready to start so I can swap between pieces as the mood dictates. Great to see Archie looking so good. Loved the guided meditation. I heard the train for the first time. I grew up mear train tracks & directly under the flight path of Dublin airport. We became completely deaf to the sounds. I had a friend staying one night & she didn't get a wink if sleep between the trains & the planes 😂😂😂 When they changed the track to electric in the 1989s it took us ages to get used to the silence. Take care, best wishes from 🇮🇪
Thank you, Anne Marie. I will talk about my Sampler Symposium experience. It’s sure to be amazing! A few months ago I started sleeping with earplugs in because I had some noisy neighbors. And even though I was used to the train noise, I did sleep better with the earplugs, and still do even though the noisy neighbors have moved on. I will send good thoughts for Jon’s therapy. Praying it has a good outcome. 🩷
