Hi I am Linda from the UK - I live in Norfolk. I watch lots of RUclips tutorials for Cross Stitch (mainly US) . I am also a quilter, I Cross stitch, Crochet, etc. How refreshing to find someone on RUclips that lives in the UK yay. I hear our lovely American ladies talk about different places you can purchase Cross Stitch finishing products such as chenille and ribbons etc etc but they are all in the US - be lovely to hear about things in the UK. So pleased I found you - it was actually Mrs Jones a lovely Cross Stitch US lady on RUclips who watches you and she recommended you and your channel . Looking forward to following you and having the chats. Take care, Linda x
I comment as I watch along, so please forgive my multiple posts. I adore the quilting and the embroidery. So inspired by both! Everything is so lovely and inspiring❤ Love, love, love❤❤❤
I find it interesting that so many of us are quilters and stitchers! I am mostly a quilter and stitcher, but also do wool appliqué and knitting. I love the world wide community of stitchers. Thank you for another special floss tube.
And love, I recently found my ancestry is 80% Ireland Scotland Wales. I've never been outside the USA but feel very connected to the UK!! Sisters at heart!
I'm very much enjoying your flosstubes. Lisa Abbey did a shout out in her flosstube and told us to stop watching and go to see you right then! 😊 I've been watching them out of order and watched one twice, and still have one to go. I'm quite enjoying them. I love all your stitching and embroidery, they are just lovely. I love the colors of your home from what can be seen and the embroidery really embodies that. I've ordered a few things from The Stitchery there in the UK after seeing some lovely things on your channel. I loved your, Cherry Garden Sampler so much that I ordered that as well. O enjoy your quilting and Lori Holt too. I also quilt. My parents were from the UK and that's where my heart is. They moved to California, where I still reside, before I was born. I am a lone stitcher as well, and I'm so happy I stumbled onto flosstube a few years ago. You are such a joy to watch. Be well, and thank you for sharing. ❤
Thank you so much Maureen for your lovely kind comment! Lisa Abbey is amazing - I love everything she stitches and quilts and her home tours are a delight :)
Oh my goodness, Sean!! I could watch your Flosstube all day! You are an amazing stitcher, quilter, and your embroidery is so beautiful. I’m so thankful that you decided to share your beautiful things that you make. Your quilts are gorgeous, too. You are my inspiration and can’t wait for your next video!❤
Oh I was so happy to see you had a new video out. ❤ your work is so beautiful! I love all your stitching. I also went to look up Nicki Franklin embroidery. Your work is amazing and the colors and just so pretty. I really want those colors in my classroom this fall so I can be surrounded by them at work. 🥰 You also do wonderful quilting. You are so very talented. I spotted the beautiful quilt on your couch and I love it so much! I need to make one just like it. So much to do and so little time!! 😂 Thank you so much for sharing all your things. I will be watching this video again like I usually do. 🥰
Karen here, from MD in the USA. I found you through Brenda and Laura. Your talent almost leaves me speechless! It’s like everything you touch turns to gold! You have the most beautiful cross stitch, embroidery and quilting I have ever seen. I am obsessed with your Stacy Nash retreat piece. And I cannot wait to see the completed May embroidery piece, the basket is so lovely. Your Lori Holt quilts are amazing, I can only dream of appliqué, but I actually love the quilt that was in the background of this video on the sofa, with all the little squares and beautiful soft colors. I enjoyed the fact that you stitch 4th of July pieces…my daughter-in-law is British and she married my stepson on the 4th of July, which I always found charming. I hope you had a wonderful trip with your girlfriends (from episode 1). I’m very glad that you decided to share your time and stitching with us. You are truly inspiring!
I came over because of Brenda and Laura-what a treat your floss tube turned out to be. Your stitching is beautiful and I can personally relate to you-we have three grown sons so I’m by myself a lot and I spend my days quilting, cross stitching and knitting. So happy you were recommended! Love from Michigan USA❤
Sian, I'm absolutely delighted for you! Over 5000 subscribers already! Your stitching is so beautiful and your embroidery and quilting are also gorgeous....what a multi talented girl you are. You are going to be a very popular flosstuber and are already on my list of my very favourite stitchers to watch. Like you, I'm a lone stitcher and when I watch you, I feel like I'm stitching and chatting with a lovely friend. Sending much love 🥰♥️
Just found you! Such a fun variety of items and skill sets. I enjoy them all. Ît is quite a challenge to stitch in the car. I ended up on 7 count. I would love to get the chart but have forgotten if there was a word to use. See you next time
Hello from Pennsylvania in the US! I just found your channel yesterday and watched both your episodes right away. Beautiful work! I believe you are the first person I have seen outside America stitching American Patriotic. It's neat to see. I also appreciate this hobby that allows people from all over the world in a variety of ages to come together and relate with one another. Your videos are well done. I look forward to the next one. Rose
Congratulations on your Flosstube channel, Sian! I watched your first video yesterday as recommended by Roberta of SABLE Stitchers. (She just raved about meeting you for tea and stitching recently). I then went to bed as a mom of three sons and woke up as a GRANDMA to a baby boy at 1 AM. I am celebrating by watching the rest of your videos before heading up with my husband to see the happy couple and baby and pop the champagne! 🎉
Rose was my Grandmother's name! And I could listen to you talk all day about your stitching, quilting, embroidery and anything else you want to talk about! You are a joy!
Bravo! I love how you focus on the designers and your joy at your completed work. You are a delight. Please don't change a thing about your presentations!
Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us. I am a Brit living in America now. I appreciate your comments about having American patriotic stitching in your home. ❤️
I learned to embroider as a little girl, then I did crewel and in my early 20s I found cross stitch and it was and still is my true joy. I was stitching some strawberries "shut" while watching your floss tube this afternoon. Tomorrow morning I will decide how to top them off. They are such fun stitches. I have a large silver bowl I plan to display them in! Thanks for sharing all your needlework today. One word of advice, if you are not happy with a color, then change it. I would take out the green on the peacocks and restitch with a turquoise. I agree that it is disheartening when a color just does not show up after all our work in stitching it!
Love your videos so much! The sweet sounds of birds in the background makes my heart happy! I'm so lucky to only be 15 mins away from the Shepherds Bush store but it's also very dangerous 😂😂😂 I've known Tina & Teri for many yrs. Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects, they inspire me so much!
After your first video I leapt into the Nicki Franklin rabbit hole … OMG … what a cre❤active person & her pallet is so light & feminine … four kits later … oh, yes! I’ve buried myself in embroidery & cross stitch … now the little bee strawberry & then the ROSE sampler … wow … thank you ever so much for the inspiration!!! 🎉 Jan Miller
Was watching “Momma loves you gb” today and she mentioned your floss tube and remembered I watched your first one recommended by Carol at “Saltbox stitcher” last month. Enjoy your designer picks and I also love surface embroidery. My mother-in-law was a very successful rose gardener. Looking forward to your next post! You will do very well!
Forgot to tell you how much I enjoyed your bird background sounds. Thought they were mine at first but after looking out my window I got such a good laugh at myself!
Such a wonderful video. I have been looking forward to being able to sit down with your video and absorbing all of your inspiring stitching. I loved your comment (when discussing whether the color floss called for was what you really wanted to use): "nothing's ever straightforward, is it?" I totally agree. Gathering the supplies to use all of the "called for" does not always give the results one hopes for. I love your patriotic stitching, too. And that quilt, the one you showed in its entirety - wow. It makes me want to make that one, too. It is beautiful and checks all the boxes. Thanks for the video!
Another floss tube of lovely stitching and quilting. I’ve been quilting since the 1970’s and enjoy Lori Holt’s quilts and have the kit for the finished quilt you showed in this video. Yours turned out so very beautiful and I’m so impressed with your work you put into it. And your houses blocks are gorgeous! I’ll look forward to your finish of that quilt too! The rose bouquet embroidery will be such a nice piece for your book you are making! I loved the finished embroidery with the pistol stem centers you made. I’m getting ready to embroider some floral blocks for a quilt I’m doing with Tilda fabrics and seeing your finish is getting me motivated. Thank you for sharing your work with us in the US. Happy stitching from Virginia😀
So very happy I found your channel!! Now I’m binge watching. Such gorgeous you do!!!Your embroidery is just stunning!! Your quilting is fabulous!! It’s true that needlework can be such a solitary hobby. I enjoy any and all needlework. Welcome!!!!
Love your stitching. I’m from Canada and am an introvert as well. My joy is my stitching and I would gladly stay home and stitch forever if it were possible!
Hello Sean Love your flosstubes videos!! Your stitching is lovely and the presentation is the best. Please continue on, with more videos. The rose is one of my favorite flowers. Karen in WV
Oh Celeste - I have been watching you for so many years and am a massive fan of everything you stitch - and quilt! Thank you so much for your kind comment - blessings from Wales :)
Sean I just found you recently and I'm very fond of a dutch rose. I'm going to catch up on all your videos so I will be ready for the next new one. You're doing a great job and you're a lovely lady. I'm so glad I found your channel.
Loved the dutch roses so much ! The colors ! 😍 Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilts as well , for a passion passionate of lots of crafty things its was so pretty to watch ! Have a nice stitchy june Marine 🤗
I love your floss tube. They are always inspirational. Thanks for the offer of the Rose chart. I would love to be entered. Your stitching is always beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video! I get so much inspiration from your projects. Love all the patriotic pieces, and the colors in the embroidery projects are gorgeous! Dusty pink is one of my favorite colors! I'm so glad you decided to make videos and share your beautiful stitching!
You do beatiful work! I love watching your videos. You are very talented and thank you for sharing your work!! Happy Stitching!! I am from the midwest in the United States and love your accent! There are many of us who are lone stitchers. None of my friends stitch at all. So thank God for flosstube.
I love your channel and I feel like I’ve got a nice friend stitching along with me. I live in the Rose city Windsor Ontario 🇨🇦. So you can add Canadians to your subscribers as well. My daughter lived in England for 2 years of University. I year she was at Keele and then she went back for her masters at York. Was so happy I got to go over and visit both times.
That is awesome! York is so beautiful - my daughter Harriet went there recently for a weekend in the Shambles and it's now on my bucket list! Best wishes to you in Canada :)
Rose. Welcome! Lori of Once Upon a Stitch mentioned you in her latest video and am glad she did. What a pleasure to see such wonderful pieces. You seem so comfortable in fron ot the camera. Looking forward to all of your future FlossTubes. Love your background ‚chorus’!
All your stitching is beautiful. Love your American patriotic collection, I may have to buy the sheep pattern by Plum Street Samplers. Thank you for sharing!
Hello there. I had just started the laborious task of cutting out Stumpwork leaves and was looking for a channel that I could listen to and watch between cutting and I came across yours. The trouble is that I found you so interesting that I kept stopping to listen and watch! How refreshing to not only have a fellow British person but also someone who does hand embroidery. So many channels are only about cross stitch and/or quilting. I have subscribed and intend watching your other videos, so thank you so very much. x
I am really enjoying your videos. I’m so glad you joined Flosstube! Your stitching is beautiful. Your Dutch Rose Garden is beautiful. It will be stunning on your walls when it is complete. Omg! Your embroidery is gorgeous. I plan to do more embroidery when I retire.
Hi! I love your color pallet and project choices. I would love to stitch the samplers not forgotten Dutch roses. My Mother was Dutch, so I love all things Dutch. Thank you for taking the time to share with us, your passion for stitching.
Adoring your content as a newbie it's inspiration. Also I nearly fell out of my seat when you mentioned going to get Topsy from Manchester. That was my childhood nickname, I've never heard of another. It brought back wonderful heartfelt memories. Xxx
Hello. Was so happy to see that you made another video. You do such beautiful work! I also have many needlework kits from The Stitchery, love her work! I love light pink roses. Thanks for doing another video!
I really enjoyed both your videos and intended to comment on the first one but forgot. I love seeing the variety of needlework and hope you will continue to show embroidery and quilting as well as cross stitch. I had to smile when you mentioned buying 2 copies of the Rose Sampler pattern as that is something I’ve been guilty of doing and I’m not alone as it’s a regular feature of our local stitching gatherings - swapping patterns that we’ve duplicated (or stitched). In your previous video you mentioned meeting Sally the Humble Bumble Stitcher and so much of your work reminds me of things that Sally loves. I was lucky to enough to live close by when Sally had a needlework shop - it was primarily quilting but she also stocked a good range of mainly American cross stitch charts and kits. Sally ran classes at the shop and it was at those that I made most of my quilts and also some stitching accessories which I still use. I think you may have lots of stitching to share with us next month and so far you haven’t got your wish of good weather Take care and happy stitching (in all forms)
Oh Hazel - what a fabulous comment! Sally is one of the sweetest ladies I have met - her work is out of this world and I was lucky enough to meet her at Cowslip in Cornwall and sit next to her for lunch ;)
@@periwinklestitcher. Yes Sally is a lovely person and such a talented needleworker. Many years ago she introduced me to Shepherd’s Bush stockings. I’m currently stitching number 20 and I buy the new one each year so when she closed her shop I had to look for somewhere else to buy the annual release. And that’s how I found the wonderful Peakside Needleworks which you mentioned a few times in both of your videos. I still miss having a LNS as nothing beats seeing fabrics and models in person but Sue’s customer service and range of items are both great.
Such a wonderful Flosstube. What a surprise to see the Patriotic Heart kit by Samplers Not Forgotten as I was stitching on mine and will finish it today! Loved seeing all your patriotic stitching and thank you for explaining why you have it as I was wondering why. You are very talented and a pleasure to listen too. The rose sampler is beautiful. Love the quilts.
Another wonderful video. Thank you so much for sharing all the lovely things you have made. I’m an inspired to try an embroidery project. I can’t wait for your next video. 😊
Love your new video. You are so enjoyable to watch and listen to. Your embroidery us beautiful. I love the Dutch Rose sampler. You are very prolific with your stitching. I model stitch, which I love doing and fit my stitching in between. Looking forward to next month. Happy stitching Margaret 🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching! I also embroider and quilt. The “it’s so Emma” pattern books are the best instructions! I made the Mercantile quilt with Lori’s sew along this year. So fun! I enjoyed your video very much. Rose
I am in love with your bee berry! Maybe back that drum linen with an interfacing? I agree, that turquoise looks far too green to me, you need more of an indigo. My goodness, those peonies are just lovely! I like the idea of putting the series into a book. I'm very impressed with your applique -- mine is always messy. And I hope you enjoyed the sunny weather! I spent the last 3 weeks in the UK and it was very sunny!
Ohh, what a treat !!! I love the Ballerina old fashion rose!! It's just a beautiful pink!! You have been a busy girl!!! Wow!! I'm impressed with all of the stitching that you've accomplished since last time!! Loved hearing the birds in the background!! Love your quilt and those colors!!!! ❤❤. It's Wonderful!!!! Your stitching is lovely. The peacock colors are quite odd. Thank you for sharing again. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Oh thank you Eva - and for letting me know about Lori! Very kind of you - and her :)

All your stitching is beautiful. Love your American patriotic collection, I may have to buy the sheep pattern by Plum Street Samplers. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much Judy - it was a lot of fun to stitch!
I love your peonies!!! Rose
Thank you so much!
So far I never have stitched a sampler. THe Dutch Rose Garden looks beautiful.
Thank you so much!
I have subscribed and intend watching your other videos, so thank you so very much. x
Thank you Jacqui for watching - I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Oh thank you!I t's a lot of fun :)
Hi! I love your color pallet and project choices. I would love to stitch the samplers not forgotten Dutch roses. My Mother was Dutch, so I love all things Dutch. Thank you for taking the time to share with us, your passion for stitching.
Thank you Kim!
So so great! Love your Vie en Rose sweatshirt.
Thank you Trish - how kind!
Love your channel! ROSE
Thank you so much!
Adoring your content as a newbie it's inspiration. Also I nearly fell out of my seat when you mentioned going to get Topsy from Manchester. That was my childhood nickname, I've never heard of another. It brought back wonderful heartfelt memories. Xxx
Wow Bernadette - I have never heard of another Topsy either except the one who inspired me to name my third baby that!! Thank you for watching :)
Hello. Was so happy to see that you made another video. You do such beautiful work! I also have many needlework kits from The Stitchery, love her work! I love light pink roses. Thanks for doing another video!
Oh thank you Dottie - how lovely!
Wow - that's amazing - 20!! I have a few stocking charts but haven't started one yet! We are so lucky to have Sue :)
Oh wow - I need to get started on mine! it is so pretty :) thanks so much for watching
Hi Sian, another lovely floss tube from you. I do hope that Rose grows quicker than you think ❤. So looking forward to your next video. ❤

I love your Rose pattern 😊
I am delighted you started a channel. Your work is lovely
Thank you so much! 😊
Your work is so pretty. Love the Rose pattern. Happy stitching.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching! I also embroider and quilt. The “it’s so Emma” pattern books are the best instructions! I made the Mercantile quilt with Lori’s sew along this year. So fun! I enjoyed your video very much. Rose
Wow Diane - that quilt is fabulous! I have it in my stash and cannot wait to get started on it next :)
Thank you so much Jean! Great idea - yes :) It's wet again here in Wales!!
