I think XH2 is the way to go, the rolling shutter and and auto focus difference is not as bad some people make it out to be, In my book, not worth the $500 price tag difference.
I'm still frustrated by fujifilm AF that is not accurate. And apparently there is the same problem on X-T5 and X-H2. I am used to that and it's ok for main projects but when I'm in wildlife photography or take photos on the fly I often would like to violently destroy my X-T4 cause I miss photos that are really not that hard to focus on😂 (should I consult?) So I think about the X-H2s... but I am so fine with X-T series (mainly X-T5 but they put out the flip screen). I guess X-H2s (for accuracy and great AF) and X-T5 for resolution et pleasure of taking photos. And X-Pro3 mainly with manual lenses. Same : Is it better to take a used GFX with manual focus lenses (65mm 1.4 and 90mm 1.25 like @benjhaisch), for médium format, or 40Mpx APSC ? big question ^^
XH2 BCS of price just that. Don’t care about stacked sensor. Something better is in the oven for civilians, wait and you’ll see. Probably in 18 months!
Im getting 3 cameras and 7 lenses, i sold all my nikon gear whic was a z8 z7ii and a z6, they just sucked at video and im a hybrid shooter so i just ordered a gfx50r for my special fun days and when i go out, i decided ill get the xh2s for my everyday work, and i ordered the xt5 for portrait and food work so Im 10000% fuji forever now.
I got my X-H2S for £2149 (£350 off retail) here in the UK, so it was a no brainer. I would’ve gone for the X-H2S at full retail but at that price it’s an absolute bargain for what you get. The stacked sensor is a huge advantage.
Would've been great if you could upload some pics from both cameras so that users like myself can check how much details difference is there between the two when it comes to pics? BTW is there is any sharpness difference b/w the two?
@@Iamtongue Thanks for the quick response man. Going for xh2s then 💪🏻 Its a big jump for me . Currently I own D3300 that my father bough me 12 years ago 😄❤️
Hi Tongue! Great admirer of your channel here! One question - just received today X-H2 and I have an issue with a small black vertical line on the right of each RAW file. This happens regardless of the lens and I also did the latest firmware update. Any chance you know why this happens?
I love the video! I shoot kids sports hockey and soccer, but mainly landscapes. I am caught in between. Can the XH2 still get some decent sport photography photos? or is the autofocus still that bad?
Ya it's not bad, if you see that little autofocusing bit near the end where I was tracking the car... It did a pretty decent t job in my opinion.. But your mileage may vary.. I think kids hockey is a bit faster action than this car i was tracking...
I bought the XH2 for mostly photography. A bit of everything. Portrait, wildlife, landscape. My reference point is the x-t2 (which I still love and am keeping) and I haven't had hands on with the XH2S. I've found the autofocus a bit odd sometimes and not just for fast motion. Eg bird auto tracking on a large bird large in frame with reeds in the background. It seemed to nail focus on the bird's eye quickly (based on what I saw in evf), then as soon as I activated the shutter it moved focus completely off the bird's head. It did it multiple times for that shot. That sort of weirdness should be able to be addressed in firmware. BUT It's still not crap for autofocus. It's a massive improvement over the x-t2. Night and day. This is one of the first bird in flight shots I got with the XH2. I put the duck in frame very quickly and fired a burst. It just found the bird and locked onto it and gave me multiple good frames to pick from. It's not going to get 100% hit rate on fast stuff, but I'm sastisfied with it. The extra cropping margin for birds/wildlife is also handy! instagram.com/p/ClLsV8IP5Al/
@@NeilMcAliece and a good point for wildlife can be the digital zoom, isn't it ? have you try it ? I'm sure it would have helped during deer's roar for exemple
@@FranckChevallereau I haven't tried digital zoom in camera yet. I shoot raw with jpg backup and I'm usually processing the raws on the PC. There is certainly extra detail that allows for more cropping compared to my 24mp x-t2
Nice video and easy to understand the differences between the two cameras. I'm still waiting for Fuji to “fix” the AF accuracy on the X-T5 before I buy it. I do have a complaint about your background music, unless you start playing some tangos from Argentina or at least Tiny Bubbles in Hawaii by Don Ho I’m unsubscribing🤣🤣🤣
Nice one! I think the X-H2S is a better video tool overall, and that people overestimate the 8K. As you said, not a lot of people can consume it and for cropping in video, 6.2K is usually enough. Kind of make me wanna try the X-H2s now… but I am scared to like it
I am kinda confused. I shoot the GFX system. But I want a lighter similar video camera that also does photography well. Naturally I would go with the XH series. But I dont know which one. The extra video specs on the XH2S are great. As is the af. But I like the more megapixels of the XH2 also. Tho I have a GFX50SII for that already. Ow boy.
Let's say with a 23mm f1.4 lens...I think in a crowded space it's going to be hard zero out your kids... I had this problem in London where the autofocusing jumped everywhere with different faces moving across the frame...but if you're kids are running around the backyard, i feel that could be sufficient.
I couldn't decide, so I bought one of each lol
W comment 👊

You are absolutely right, also who would record in 8k, heck stay 4K and call it a good day!
Definitely saving up for the xh2s.

Cool video bro! I love the the X-H2s for video!
The XH2s is amazing for video.. I love the image coming out of it.. it’s so good
X-T3 owner here, I’m going to get the xh2 once I have Christmas money in my hands. 😊
Shieeet let’s go!

What a steal! How’d you snag that.. I’m surprised the price dropped so quick.
@@Iamtongue wexphotovideo in the UK. I was surprised too. Got me thinking to pick up a second body before the prices go back up.
Well I got the xt5 because why not. Now I kinda want an Xh2 or Xh2s body. If I already have the 40mp in the xt5. I wonder if I should just get the s.
the xh2s is nice if you want to do alot of filming... I've been happy with the results
