      In practice I’ve found my xh2s and xh2 evf to be average, especially when MF, xt5 surprisingly with less resolution seems to do better with MF, same as when view images in evf on the xh2s/2 image looks soft but is not in reality but xt5 image seems to hold together better in the evf… weird

      I honestly love all 3 cameras... Sony a7siii has the most reliable AF and you'll get access to all the sony e mount lenses out there third party as well.. That's something the S5ii is lacking right now... there's not many options...but it's a solid tool. XH2s is really good, i think has the best look out of the 3.

    I bought the X-H2S to down-size (and modernize?) from my Canon 5D IV. I shoot mostly photos and I've been more than happy with "only" 26MP. I'm a hobbyist and take mostly photos of my family and travels. I was super happy with the output I got from the X-H2S and (get this...) the 18-120mm f/4 PZ lens on a recent trip to Europe. The only change I'm thinking about is adding the 16-55 f/2.8 to give a bit more image quality (I was very spoiled with my Canon L lenses on my previous kit).
    I have never used any X-T bodies, but I'm quite happy with the relatively smaller size of the X-H2S compared to the full frame body (and lenses) I had before.

      I know this an old comment but I am wondering why you chose to not go with a canon mirrorless. Im on the same boat. I own a 5D IV and also a 5D II. Lenses are 35L, 20mm 50mm 85 IS USM. Having a hard time jumping ship because of lenses. for Canon Im considering a Canon R6 MK II. or the Fuji XT5 or XH2s. Thanks!

    • @markjsc
      @markjsc 8 дней назад

      @@PeezieCP4 - I don't think you can go wrong staying with Canon. I was happy to learn recently that Canon will allow 3rd party manufacturers to build RF lenses. That may have made a difference for me about 2 years ago.
      At the time I decided to switch, there were 2 deciding factors for me:
      1. I wanted to down-side my sensor to APSC and Canon didn't have a winning Mirrorless APSC body or lenses for me at the time (Summer/Fall of 2022). The size of the full-frame lenses was the biggest issue. I had the 70-200 f/2.8 IS and 24-70 f/2.8 - both were huge, even though I LOVED the photos I got from them.
      2. I had a buyer for my remaining Canon gear. I was OK with restarting from near-zero.
      So far, I've been very pleased with the output from my Fuji system and have only missed Canon's ergonomics. I'm still planning to add the 16-55 f/2.8 to give me that extra edge on image quality, but I'm still quite happy with the vast majority of what I get from the X-H2S with 18-120.

    XH2S. As a wedding photographer, the larger buffer and stacked sensor is super nice. The body and button layout of the XH2S, while not as fun and small as the XT5, is convenient for professional work; especially when you throw on larger lenses or need to switch settings very quickly.
    My XT4 will always have a place in my heart for lifestyle and hobbyist photos. And I’m sure the XT5 is even better. But honestly, I’d like to see a new X-Pro that can fill the role of an EDC camera.

    • @yes_senpai8880

      @@lindafuller9131 it's honestly about the same as the X-T4; unless you crank the ISO way up, then you'll notice less noise in the shadows for sure.
      Honestly, I'd consider the XH2 for weddings. I personally think the larger resolution is more beneficial than the faster readout, unless you are shooting sports or wildlife. I actually switched to the Sony A7IV in order to find a balance. Definitely notice a large improvement in AF, low light performance and resolution; but definitely a downgrade in many other areas. As I said... a balance. But I'm sticking with Fuji for everyday and travel photography.

    I got the XH2s, and find they PSAM really useful to switch quickly back and forth from video to photo as I do both. I really do miss the retro dials as sometimes it's just easier to turn a knob, or the nice high quality LCD screen of the XT5 which is perfect for photo. But having that superior Auto focus is also nice. I am hoping for more firmware releases for the XH2s as the auto focus is still not entirely there when taking pictures of moving subjects...soon hopefully. And if Fuji can get that Auto focus anywhere near Sony, it should be on the stacked sensor.

    I had an XT3 and sold it because of its unreliable AF. Half my images had soft eyes. So I bought a Canon R6. Amazing AF. So good, I’m convinced Canon is in possession of extraterrestrial technology. All my shots are keepers. But, it’s rather big and heavy for travel with its huge lenses. So if you'll be my judge, please :-) From the fotos @ 8:15, I'd say the two lower t-shirt photos are from the X-H2s, and the two top T-shirt photos are from the X-T5. I am less certain about the car park videos. I'd say the top left looks more like X-H2s, and the bottom on looks more like X-T5. The top right car park photo I find more difficult, as I'm getting opposing vibes from her shirt and the concrete. This is from watching the video at 1080p.
