Actually the one with Goku didn't really count since cell was able to regenerate anyways and Goku knew it the senzu bean was him just being nice
It was also to make it so Gohan wouldn't be scared to fight cell or hesitate in any way thinking that if Goku fought cell cell wouldn't have had the chance to regenerate and think the only reason cell regained his power was because of the senzu instead of the reality of which cell would have been able to just regenerate whenever he wanted to (this can be further backed up by Goku later getting beat up by a cell Jr which would be the same strength as if not weaker than perfect cell)

I think that was the point. Even near death they just want a good fight. It's what saiyans were. To do opposite would contradict it. It's also explains why goku is hardly a good dad and same with vegita even though they have their good dad moments. They spend most their time training and fighting instead of spending time with kids and supporting them financially. They're not the same as humans.

Well they didt feel bad. For vegeta he wanted to take on cell at his prime. And for goku I have no actual fu**ing clue why he did that I mean he’s the idiot of the show. But for gohan he was at ss2 which can easily defeat cell even if he regenerated. The stupidest was goku and vegeta tho.

Trunks biggest problem was that he had rightly understood his dad and therefore never really gotten the chance to test out his own newest form, as Veggy would have acted like a baby about not getting that new toy himself. 🙄

Actually it was 5head that goku gave cell a sensu. Had he not he would have killed gohan rather then play with him which ultimately gave him the time to unlock his potential. Goku knew gohan could destroy cell once he tapped into his power. The sensu bean would have made no difference regarding whether cell was fatigued or not. One punch to the gut basically brought cell to his knees and made him throw up 18 none the less whether fatigued or not. The only difference the sensu made that I see regarding the outcome would be that it allowed cell to grow over confident. If cell did not get the sensu he may have just thrashed gohan so he could still have enough energy to finish off the rest of the fighters. He would have most certainly been more cautious anyways.

Either I'm the only one getting it, or I'm totally wrong. Goku gave Cell a senzu bean because he needed Cell to dominate Gohan completely so that there's no way for Gohan other than releasing his power. It sounds like a big gamble, but this goes back to the hyperbolic time chamber where Gohan begs Goku to hit him with the biggest kameha wave. Goku hit him with a wave much more powerful than Gohan's normal untapped power could handle, this broke Gohan's ceiling. That was the proof that Gohan would unleash his power against Cell when he was pressed enough. But after his fight with Goku, Goku wanted Cell at his max. If not, then Cell probably would not be strong enough to unleash Gohan's power. In short:
A weaker Cell was stronger than Gohan with untapped power.
But a Cell with full strength could awake Gohan's power, whereas a weaker Cell would have beaten Gohan. Ironically Goku was giving Gohan the advantage by giving Cell the senzu bean.
A similar example is Jiren overpowering Goku so much that Ultra Instinct is unlocked even before the projections Whis had in mind. A weaker Jiren would have just defeated Goku.
Goku gave the bean to cell cause he knew gohan could still defeat him even at his bestt , he just wanted gohan to have faith in him(cause during his training he saw gohan had the greatest potential) . Also gohan was supposedly going to be the mc for the ahead of show but people riot for goku

Yeah Trunks and Piccolo. Kinda makes sense tho, main Z fighters have never truly had a loss. Not like Trunks that lost everything. Tbh it's one of the reasons I like Naruto a lot more than DBZ. Naruto battles have real consequences, ppl actually died, get maimed, and/or there's actual ripple effects in the world. DBZ is just "want it bad enough and scream loud enough you'll always win." Not to mention Naruto villains like Pain and Madera have a purpose and absolutely shit on DBZ villains.
This is why Trunks is my favorite. He does not play around and kill tge enemy fast and clean.

Trunks is the 2 smartest character in the show. He has his mother’s genetics. He also grew up in a time where he seen all of his loved ones die. Goku did not until he was grown. Vegeta seen his father but his pride and ego clouds his judgment. Piccolo has the same instinct to finish off opponents but he can’t due to the plot making him the weaker fighter.

He’s actually a smart person who wouldn’t let stupid pride get in the way of the important things. e.g. you know living he’s smart and if he could he would probably even use the dragon balls to kill an enemy cause he’s actually smart unlike the rest of them. If he has such a huge advantage like the dragon balls, he will use it. He’s actually smart and would probably be the most likely to survive if they were put in another android situation. He knows when to finish an enemy and will use whatever means necessary to kill his enemy before even more damage is done

Chichi had pride as well so gohan is definitely more prideful as a teen. Trunks had the added benefit of being a halfling with one who seems intelligent(to build the devices she does) so Trunks has a good balance.

Gohan: only allowed cell to regenerate because of the effects of SSJ2
Trunks: has seen enough to know letting an opponent reach their full potential could mean they outshine you and it’s better to keep them from doing so
