I remember downloading these videos Piece of Me and Monkey Business from SNL before RUclips existed, and yes, Skid Row kicked ass that night specially with Monkey Business.
I remember watching their set live on SNL, and they kicked ass big time.

loved SR back in the day but that performance got em banned for life from SNL due to Sebastian droppin F BOMB on live TV...love this footage tho'..if they reunited I'd go see em, wouldn't be as big a deal as GN'R obviously but still cool. I saw Sebastian open for GN'R 3x in 06 and Playboy Mansion gig in '11 or '12 I think..he ROCKED! 🤘... I think I was the only one who knew all the lyrics at that Playboy show..to his new album as well.

I remember watching this episode live and was absolutely blown away by their performance of "Monkey Business." Still am and consider it the most ass-kicking musical segment in the history of the show. Total pros and they seized their moment.

Yea, so hard for a band to really rock on a tv show with a cold audience and just one song. They came out and crushed it. Check out Living Colour doing Cult Of Personality on Arsenio Hall. That's another great one.

If you come across this comment please confirm if my memory is correct of the LIVE broadcast. Was there a moment in the broadcast when they were all swinging their hair in tandem? That's how I remember it. One thing I know is correct is that I was waiting for the record shop to open Sunday afternoon to buy 'Slave to the Grind'.

I am so glad I got to see skid row two times on their first tour opening for Bon Jovi. They were so amazing to see back in the day. Watch the 1989 giants stadium show. You can actually see a girl on a guys shoulders which was mine. She was so hot also wearing a Cinderella shirt…. Can’t miss her she even turns back away from the stage at one point. I wish I had asked her out then. Wonder if she sees my messages on RUclips all these years later

Watching this on 8/11/24. Man, I miss the original Skid Row. That first song made me think of, believe it or not, old school punk with more technical guitar work :)
At this time was my senior year in high school ! So I already had the first album and slave was released in June of 91! I remember MTV would release monkey bus. Video few months before the album came out and so I was already to get slave to the grind when it was released! Still have those first 3 skid’s albums ! ⚡️space ace Ron⚡️
