fish can roll
The fish gun could be reloaded by pouring water into the mouth , as if the effect is just water coming out of the fish.
That goose gun is awesome lol I think your solution for the gun gun is perfect also, I think it also makes it more manageable as a player instead of every shot being completely random from like 20 different weapons
Love the idea of community made guns! Here are my dumb ideas:
- Hot sauce: shoots hot sauce which deals dmg over time and "disorients" the enemy making them flail around a bit.
- An egg gun which shoots eggs at enemies (shells scattering from impact might do some very minute scatter dmg?) but it also has a very small chance of the egg shot to hatch a chicken which the pulls aggro.
- Nail gun which shoots fast nails that cause slow and bleed? Rusty nails can crit?
- A microwave that shoots micro-waves?
- A confetti shotgun
- A baby two headed dragon which shoots fire and ice balls
- A gun with a watermelon attached on the top that shoots fast consecutive low dmg seeds? Reload when melon is depleted.
- A toaster gun which can be charged to do more dmg, hold for too long and toast is burnt ruining the shot.
- A boomerang
Idk just throwing out ideas that might help generate more ideas in the future. Best of luck!
Bullet Gun, It is a bullet that shoots a gun
A really cool melee weapon should be a money bag and hitting enemies drop money from the bag. and it breaks when the bag looses all hp!

If you choose to make more guns, can you make a racoon/bluejay gun that just shoots the word OOOHH!! You could call it the Regular Gun

I was thinking the Gun Gun could shoot 2-4 different gun types (as you did) but the BulletGun that was shot out rotates around frantically, shooting 5-10 times (depending on gun variant) as it rotates and flies forward. Would add a bit more excitement I think, and might be a good way to balance it
rainbow gun: rainbow brimstone from the binding of isaac or just a really big rainbow laser. this gun would have very high damage but it would have a long cooldown time
A "shark shotgun" -fires several shark teeth in a spread pattern .
The " Good Guy Gun" -fires little teddy bears that run and target an enemy and once they find on they stab them .
The "Best Buddy Gun" - fires little teddy bears that target enemies and when they find one they hug them and blow up .
There is a roguelike game called Voidigo which has so many goofy guns similar to what you’re doing. You could probably get some inspiration just looking at those weapons.

Dunno if anyone has said it but for realoading the fish. Also dunno how possible it would be but. you could have the fish break in half or have its head fall off and then you take out another fish head and put it on, or something, as some visual cue to make it make sense instead of just not reloading the fish
Reload should be delay for a special attack on the melee weapon.

how about a sword that has a barrel inside of it, where shooting it fires lazers from the top. It could have an ammo capacity of 1 so that more reload speed lets you shoot out multiple bursts of lazers, or you could make a 1 lazer-at-a-time build where each lazer deals devastating damage. i just want an excuse to have a lazer beam alright..

how the teammate works is that it it will ram into the enemy, and the enemy will die but the teammate will take the enemy's hp as recoil. edit: I JUST REALISED THIS IS THE SAME CONCEPT AS MARROW LMAO

I have been in the game development space as indie for 12 years now.
I have only released 2 projects in Unity in all these years and the problem for me is always the motivation and art.
So, I wanted to ask how you keep yourself motivated, and, do you mind maybe creating tutorials for pixel art? I personally love pixel art but I just can't get it to look good because of the lighting and stuff, just can't make it click for me.

This game is clearly not vegan friendly
I appreciate that I'm not in the discord so by all means, ignore this completely :D but hear me out; what if, instead Gun Gun, true to its recursive name spawned a gun bullet (Gun Gun Bullet 1; which itself did let's say 1x damage on impact if it hits someone). This GGB1 would then spawn a GGB2 that did 0.5x damage on impact. GGB2 in turn would spawn GGB3, doing 0.25x damage, GGB3 spawns GGB4, which does 0.125x damage, and so forth.
And here's the kicker, it rolls a Rand() to determine how many recursive gun-bullets to spawn. The upgrades increase base damage which affects the recursive-diminishing damage as well.
