Cassidy was the long con, but he developed real feelings for her, just like in Dharmaville, he pulled a "long con" on Juliet and The Others, but grew to care about her too. But he was never IN love with Cassidy or Juliet. Juliet = Cassidy. Look at the flowers everywhere. In vases, in the pictures, even the pattern on the couch. Juliet was also into flowers. And Sawyer was susceptible to subliminal messaging (as shown in Season 3 when he was mesmerized by the brainwashing video .. the scene he was looking at was of flowers) .. hence using "LaFleur" as his fake name, perhaps
Brenda You're pathethic and delusional. Juliet was THE one, the love of his life, proved by the writing in the show. It's NOT your show, start living your own life, get over it!
Cassidy was blind, ignorant and naive about Sawyer and it cost her big time. She should've been more careful around him. The minute she figured out he was a con man, she should've taken off. Instead she involved herself into his business that she didn't think at all the potential consequences. I guess she thought he would save her in case they got into trouble. I have very little sympathy for Cassidy being conned by Sawyer because she knew whom she was dealing with. The first married couple whom he almost conned were more innocent despite the wife being a cheater.
