My favorite scene of Kate and Sawyer ever!

3rd best episode!! Awesome scene! 🐅

Sawyer and Kate shippers are blind and delusional. Sawyer was not still in love with Kate and was in love with Juliet, how he went back to his olds ways after her death proved that and the fact that he changed during the three years he was with her proves it even more. Juilet made Sawyer a better person just like Jack did with Kate, Sawyer and Kate would have never worked out long time on or off the island, because they were just alike and had nothing to balance each other out. Even Juliet and Jack got divorced in the alternate universe after being married for years because they were also just alike.

This scene and the literary reference to Of Mice And Men is one of many reasons i love the show so much. Grade A storytelling at it's finest. In Sawyer's flashback, we see him reading the book in his cell, and we see where he picked up his hobby on the island. The rabbits, the verbatim lines from Steinbeck's classic, which mirror the theme of loneliness for Sawyer, who is a lone wolf in his own right because he hates himself so much that he wants other people to hate him. Crashing on that island saved him, as it did almost everyone else.....

The reason why Sawyer got with Juliet. He got with somebody not to get sick. Believing he would never see Kate again.

Ohmigod! You guys are really grasping here. By this point, Sawyer was no longer in love with Kate and they had more or less moved toward the friendship zone.

These scenes are why I became a shipper and Kate and Sawyer in season 3. Their chemistry was on fire!!

In the first season I rooted for her and Jack, but starting with this episode I couldn’t help but root for Kate and Sawyer! There was just so much chemistry there. At first I thought only Jack would be able to give her a happy life, not Sawyer, but he changed for the better, and they were SO GOOD together! Even through they both had dark pasts and had done bad things, they overcame their pasts and brought out the best in each other. They were just so much fun to watch!! The pairings with Jack and Juliette are boring in comparison.

They should have been endgame

I maybe 20years late but they are so married couple. Kate always cared for him. When Sawyer had headaches, when he got shot to being his physical therapist on this video. When she gave him a new haircut aaaaah. I say, married. And even after the seasons, sure they are with Jack and Juliet but you can always feel the love and care they have for each other.

It broke my heart how this show ended with Jack. He should've been on the plane with his friends, girlfriend, and sister, going back home to his mother and nephew not dying in the forest with Vincent beside him. At least he didn't die alone. 😢

I don't care what anyone says Sawyer and Jack were friends in the last three seasons of the show. Yeah they still argued and disagreed from time to time but they was nothing how they were with each other in seasons 1-3. Back then they couldn't stand each other and always competed for Kate's love. In seasons 4-6 they were friends who still had different viewpoints about things, so they didn't always see eye to eye.

They will always be better then Sawyer and Juliet

The way Evangeline and Josh handle the emotions in this scene speaks volumes. You can see clear shift especially in Evangeline's acting in season 6 after Elizabeth left. Josh's acting also changed drastically compared to previous seasons. In season 5, Elizabeth and Josh's friendship deepened due to their characters story lines. In every scene, you could feel the love between their characters because it easily reflected on the connection between the actors as well. There was no acting in their final scenes together. So in this particular scene with Sawyer and Kate, Josh's performance shows how easy it must have for him to play the scene. Because it really felt like this scene was equally about Sawyer's grief over losing Juliet and Josh's grief over Elizabeth's departure from the show. As for Evangeline, I think it hit her the hardest that Elizabeth left. Liz told in one of her interviews that before her departure, she got drunk with Evangeline because they were so saddened about her leaving. And in this scene, not only Kate griefs Juliet, Evangeline is also grieving Elizabeth. It's amazing to see how strong relationship the actors have with each other because it makes their job much easier when the cameras are rolling.

Scene: Kate: "What now" (The Island is sinking, how do we find Clair, and get on the plane?). Sawyer: throwing baggage (for better swimming), "We jump" (to get to the boat, then the plane) Kate: "See ya at the boat" (hurry we don't have much time) Kate jumps Sawyer: "Kate", then jumps right after her, headfirst. Subtext: Kate: "What now" (what about us? Jack and Juliette are gone, no obstacles, no confuses, no diverges, no excuses, just you and me). Sawyer: throwing (his fear from commitment, and immature self) baggage, with ship between them, "We (love) jump" (plunging together to our new ship, and life together) Kate: "See ya at the boat" (prove it to me, and prove Cassidy was wrong about your helicopter jump, by jumping with me this time, and not alone, I'm willing to take the first step) Kate jumps (Taking the first step, waiting for Sawyer to put his money where his mouth is) Sawyer: "Kate", then jumps right after her, headfirst (Heads on, no regret, no fear, fully committed to a future together).

They have amazing chemistry together, but I hate that Kate is playing with him like that. :( He deserves to be with someone who truly wants him for him.

Kate and Jack had 3 years to share a life together and they messed up everything. On the other hand we had Suliet spending 3 amazing years, committed to each other... Kate didn't have the right to follow them on the sub.

how can anyone who wtached that scene can ship Sawyer with Juliet ? Are you blind ? He is still in love with Kate. It's obvious. he was with Juliet because a) he didn't want to be alone and b) because she was the only female left . He couldn't even tell her "i love you" he just said "don't leave me" lol. This a couple (Sawyer and Juliet) who have no chemistry , boring and no construction, a time-jump couple. At the minute Sawyer saw Kate again, his look said everything.

He was devastated, in that moment he only had thoughts for Juliet. He left everyone and everything behind, but of course Kate couldn't leave him alone...🙄🙄 He wasn't implying any romantic feelings for Kate here, he had his heart just crushed by the death of his real love, how could he be thinking of another girl? IMO Kate cries because of everything she did to him, for being hardheaded in following the two when they were getting out of the island in the sub, for ruining all Sawyer had achieved. Can you imagine how hard it must've been for Sawyer to grow up to be involved with someone with his true self? He was at ease, a state of mind not many characters in LOST had the chance to experience. Kate messed up all her relationships. When Sawyer says to her in a previous ep that he'd never fit to be her boyfriend, he meant it, he also confesses that his relation with Juliet made him grew up. He realized what they used to have, using Juliet's words "was just for a little while". Of course when Kate returned to the island he got uneasy, he had unresolved matters with her. And when they are going back to stop Jack set off the bomb, and Sawyer looks at Kate, I used to hate that scene, but once I got older, I realized love sometimes is not a black-white thing. Life is complicated, so is Love. But thank God, in the very last second, when everything came to an end, he looked at Juliet, even before Juliet looks at him, that's the moment that his mind and heart were going to the same direction. To be honest I don't even think he lived much after leaving the island. I can't picture him turning into a con man again. He and Kate? I suppose they may have tried to have something, but once again realized they work better as friends. Maybe he ended up having someone else, but that relationship never matched the paradise he lived in for three years with Juliet.

Sawyer had to think first about his daughter Clementine, with Juliet in 3 years he forgot many things that Kate didn't also the little Clementine...
