I’ve said it often, and will again…German modlers are just on a different level of quality and detail than the rest of us mortals. Congratulations!
Glad you think so. Thank you very much for your kind comment full of compliments which I really appreciate.
This is model aviation at its finest.
Absolutely wonderful!
Thank you so much for your kind comment which I really appreciate.
The animatronics on the pilot are top notch! 😁
Many thanks, but the scene of pilot during the flight is not a model aircraft.
This is beautiful😍.
Wonderful landing at 8:28 👏👏👏👏
Many thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
AS A R/C FLYER AND BUILDER AND DESIGNER FOR NEAR ON 50 YEARS I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THIS BUILDER AND FLYER. HE IS A CREDIT TO OUR HOBBY WORLD WIDE 👍👍👍.
What a beautiful and elegant model. Loved the attention to detail and the wing warping. As always, top notch Horst!
Thank you very much, Sam. Couldn't agree more! 🤗👍🏼
Monsieur Santos-Dumont était un homme de grande classe ! 👍👍👍
Fantastic scale speed.👏
Many thanks! 😊
Bravo! That flight AND landing is a credit to the pilot.
Many thanks !!!
…realism of the flight up to the ride after landing on the grass !…
Absolutely fantastic !
Sir you are a wizard in your domain !👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
☠BLACK BARON☠0:25 This is what nowadays aviation engineers try to achieve. Transformable wings with all the mechtech stuff inside the wing. Absolutely great scale detail. The RPM indicator inside the cockpit is just great. It flies really scale 👍
Thank you so much for your kind comment which I really appreciate.
Beautiful, i had to watch the take off 3 times
Many thanks. Glad you like it 👍
An absolute marvel! It is so nice to see this museum quality model flying, the take off and landing were both so good as to look full size, and flying at scale speed was a really nice touch, when I read this model was fitter with a radial 70 cc engine I thought we were in for a high speed demonstration, I hope this excellent model gives many more hours of enjoyment! Many thanks for posting Horst! Chris B.
Wow!!! What a gorgeous plane. Looked awesome in the air. Thanks for sharing
Probably the most accurate RC model with accurate sound I've seen. Very good!!!!
Many thanks, Horst, for another superb production! This is a truly magnificent model and I also enjoyed the clip of the full-size aircraft in flight...magic!! Cheers, Dougal
Hi Dougal. Thank you so much for your kind comment which I really appreciate.
The clip of the full size Blackburn was taken at the Shuttleworth Collection. I've been there twice but unfortunately never saw it fly.
_Cheers, Horst_
Wing warping r/c.....wow...great job..great video.
Many thanks. Glad you liked it.
That motor sounds amazing
7 cylinder radial
What a wonderful old bird - great detail and construction and the radial sounds just perfect. Stall speed - maybe 35 knots - hmmm! Love the live pilot clip. Absolute joy to see the graceful flight - and satisfying safe landing. Super video Horst :)
Hi my friend. There was a lot of work to build this model from scratch.
Thank you so much for your kind comment which I really appreciate. Glad you enjoyed it.
_Cheers, Horst_
I see some of the most technologically advanced RC videos and then this. This aircraft is magnificent! You deserve an award of some sort for the finest craftsmanship. What a great aircraft!
Thank you very much indeed for such a comment. I really feel honored.
Wow absolutely amazing! 🤩✈️👍
Thanks a lot!
Oh my... ! This model is even more realistic than the real one! Congratulations!
Thanks. Glad you think so.
Thanks for the show, First class build/flight.

_Glad you liked the video_ 🤙😎
Hello SteamerEdge
Since you addressed me by name I think it is okay to answer. I am glad you appreciate my efforts. I put all the effort into this model and made use of all the experience deriving from decades of model building. What you write about me flying the model tells me that you know how demanding it is to fly a model like this. Indeed I am very happy about what I achieved during the shooting. With Horst's excellent craftsmanship on top I feel it is all as close to the full size aircraft as a model can be. A dream has come true for me. I almost can't believe it. If others like the result too - even better.
I very much enjoyed this great video - it was right up my street, l really love watching model planes & real planes - so many thanks for posting this trimendous video.
Oh wow my favorite models and thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for your kind comment !
Very nice plane, beautiful flight and beautiful landing. Congratulations, Dalimil Koutek, CzechRepublic.
Very cool plane, I like all the little details of it. Thanks Horst!
Hi Jeff.
Thanks for the compliment. 😊
Wow, absolut klasse Horst 😊😊😊
Vielen lieben Dank, Jens. 👍😉
That is BEYOND AWESOME !!! Simply BEAUTIFUL....and a working tach. Whoda thunk ;}>
Thank you so much for the compliments which I really appreciate.
A work of art.
You nailed it. 🤙😎
Hello everybody out there,
When Horst and me did the shooting, I didn't think about what reactions to this film would be like at all. I just was happy with the fact that I had the chance to make a film as such. Honestly, I am absolutely overwhelmed by your comments and how much you appreciate the project. Thank you ever so much! Regards and always happy landings! Michael
In the thumbnail it almost looks like he is sitting in it 😅
*LOL* ... you're right 😂👍
1 word, "stunning".
Wow.. Wing-flexing..
like the real plane
Absolutely stunning!
Glad you like it.
Fantastic Model 🛩👍⭐🛩⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Nice👍
Absolutely fabulous 😎👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
❤ it , look scale man 👍
Glad you think so 🤗
Admirable travail, les gars ! L'aviation ukrainienne a besoin de vous !🔱😃
I had a proctor antic biplane. It had a pretty complex cable control system.
It fell victim to a earlier spectrum radio failure
Splendide !!!
Thanks !!!
tolles Modell , scale geflogen 👌
you are a genius!❤
Wunderschön!
Lovely!
Big triple like!!!! Just sever the pilots arms and put some pivot to Them attach them to the wheel you have it all , just fantastik!!!!
Hello James, rhanks for your suggestions, but I did not link the hands to the steering wheel for safety reasons. The wheel goes down below the wooden bar an slightly touches the thighs. So if anything ever got jammed this would be it...
The flying to scale gives a great feeel of an early aircraft. Does it have much more power than that though?
Sweet😀
Thanks 😁
That scale model looks and flies like the full sized plane. Only thing missing is a flapping scarf around the pilots neck...😉
Thank you for your kind comment which I really appreciate. Well ... maybe next flight with a scarf ;)
that thing is GORGEOUS. is anyone doing a rotary type model engine?
Many thanks. Yes, De Vries build rotary model engines.

What a beautifully 😍 built blackburn monoplane 🎉 wow 👌 that is shit hot 🔥 the scary thing was im absolutely sure Cyril Foggin took over flying your awsome machine shit i will watch it again im sure the pilot had a sneaky flight 😂😅😂
👏👏👏👏👏
👍
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Tuyệt vời ❤❤❤❤
THANKS !!!
sir one small child can sit on this plane maybe?
Hello there
I am afraid no, it couldn't. There is by far less space for the pilot on this 1/3.25 fuselage than you would expect. Just imagine a 1.65 m tall pilot weighing about 55 kilos at that scale and you are there. The pilot would be squeezed in, his boots fairly close to each other on the rudder bar. It certainly wouldn't be very comfortable.
You want to get rid of a child, Jack?... Ilt's not good ! 😄
