Hi Jes. I so LOVE your videos!!!! You are a true addiction for me. I love the tough stuff hydrangeas and I am so happy you put it under our American flag. We truly are “tough” as Americans and it is a wonderful example of your brother. ❤️ Thank you for being out there for us 🙏👏
Hi Jes!!! I get a day off today and there is a Jes video!!! No better way to start the day! The hydrangeas look beautiful where you put them, and I am sure you will get many years of enjoyment from them. Hope you have a great day!!!
You rescued those Tuff-Stuff hydrangeas from the ginormous gree house. They were root bound in those 3 gallon pw pots. Next to your flag will be a perfect location for the Tuff-Stuff. Wow! The plants are so lush and healthy. Keep bambi away from them this winter. Loved your movie!
Hey Jes I got a 2 gallon tough stuff Ah-ha for $5 off the clearance rack at Lowes. I left it in the nursery pot and put it in a decorative pot then plopped it in the shade by my sidewalk. It bloomed it's brains out all summer with the prettiest dusty rose pink blooms I think it needs acid to bloom blue like the picture on the tag. The foliage stayed clean unlike the $5 clearance cherry crush macrophylla that got totally covered in powdery mildew and got pitched in the trash... I think you will love yours they are so huge and healthy looking! If you ever see a little hottie hydrangea paniculata It's a dwarf one that's really been putting on a show for me. ;-)
Good Morning Jes 🌺 I bought a tuff stuff red in the spring this year and had to water mine about every other day in the heat of the summer and it only gets sun from about 5pm to sun down. You will know if it is thirsty because the leaves will really droop. Mine didn’t get very many flowers this year but I am hoping for more next year. I spray mine every couple of weeks so the deer will leave it alone and so far so good no munching 🙂 we usually warm up in March and then get another freeze so when that happens I will throw a blanket over mine so the freeze doesn’t take the buds because they do bloom on old and new wood. I can’t wait for next summer to see how yours and mine does🙂 I am in western Iowa zone 5a.
I’ve already had to water them sooo much! It’s worth it :) we will see how they do with the deer. I’ll for sure be spraying them too if we see some deer getting hungry!
Oh boy... Just saw your video come thru... Have some adulting this morning but look forward to watching with a nice cup of hot tea... It's 43° this morning...
Finally sitting down after my somewhat busy day. My husband was in the hospital and got home today... so thankful... not sure If covid caused afib, but it took awhile to get him regulated. Nice way to unwind watching your video planting and enjoyed shopping for the hydrangeas...happy birthday to you. Thank you...
Hi Jes!! Oh my you have some nice soil💚…Those hydrangeas were a steal! You did the right thing buying at least 3…If I lived even a few hours away to those nurseries I’d be broke buying plants all the time…I thought to myself “how much would it cost to drive up there and bring a uhaul back loaded with shrubs and perennials”??? Maybe next year if planned at the right time😊..Thanks for sharing and hope you have a wonderful week! Happy belated birthday 🎉
@@jesthesinginggardener yes that would mean less plants lol…I don’t have any gardening friends in NM unfortunately but my bf is always down for road trips even if it means it’s for a plant nursery visit..We go to Denver, CO a few times a year and you better believe we stop at one my faves “City Floral Garden Center” when we go💚…
Hi there I just love your RUclips channel your Hydrangeas will be so pretty next summer, thank you for sharing I have learned so much from you! I'm in South East Michigan zone 6a/b we have some beautiful weather here in Michigan 4 season 🌻 just want you to know you have a beautiful voice and beautiful hair may God continue to bless you and your family 💗
Hi Jes, always enjoy your singing & planting in the gully garden. I bought a tuf stuff at Lowes on clearance this summer but have it in a container. Think I’ll go try to find enough shade & plant it this morning. Have a blessed day. 😊🇺🇸🎵
Hi Jes ,the hydrangeas are so healthy and bushy I’m sure they will grow just fine ,can’t wait to see it!! Since I can’t grow them here in Florida I’ll enjoy watching yours so much ,like your gorgeous hostas that I can’t grow here either!! Great spot for them!!🤗
Hey Jess, greetings from SE Wisconsin. So happy you bought those beautiful hydrangeas. Im sure they will be a wonderful addition to your pretty garden.
Beautiful Tuff Stuff in just the right spots. Did the compost you used say "Dairy Doo"? 😂 I don't blame you for trying to give them a really good start. It brought a tear to my eye when you said, "Tuff Stuff, right under my tough stuff flag." Nice work with the stones. Really enjoyed the video. Thank you for sharing.
Hey JES-You also could use a retractable hoses( I have one and couldn’t live without IT!) I have all sorts of plans for your draw full of VISA GIFT CARDS! LoL 😂 Have a Blessed day🥰🤍🙏🏼🇺🇸
@@beverlysmith9854hi Beverly Smith! Hey Jes! Happy belated Birthday and Congratulations on receiving your dream plants”Tuff Stuff hydrangeas!” Have you thought of getting yourself a drill auger to dig your holes in half the time and effort? I have one and I promise it will change your life and Rock your World! Give it a try with your next gift card purchase you will not be disappointed🥰✨🤍🙏🏼🇺🇸
@@striketochillLoL,really does it? Since they both dig your hole In The Dirt to plant in your garden- and if you’ve ever used one you would know the dirt from the earth mounds a perfectly beautiful pile of fresh dirt circling around the hole to quickly and easily plop your plants So, intoxicating and satisfying 😉
@@alw5101 I don't know, seems kinda like the lazy gardener's way out lol. I guess if you have a huge garden a la Garden Answer, an auger is a must. For me, a shovel works fine although I'm sure it is satisfying to auger out!

Love that song. When I was like six years old me and my sister sang that song with my mom at our church. I’ll never forget that we all had matching dresses. I grew up on the Judds I could sing you all of their songs by heart!
Hi Jess, beautiful singing and planting- what is not to love to start off my day❤️? !!!! My Tuff Stuff showed beautiful blooms in the second summer in my part shade location (USDA equivalent 5) . I hope you get to enjoy yours soon! 🇨🇦
How are these tuff stuff hydrangeas doing? I purchased the pink & blue mountain hydrangeas. I planted one in the ground & right off the bat it was suffering from too much morning sun. I had to move it in a container, shady spot, plenty of water & they are now both very happy. Their cap blooms are so beautiful which drew me to get them.
love those hydrangeas y got. Do u follow The Impatient Gardener, Erin? She gardens in Michigan . She has an organic ( I think) spray that she sprays on stuff to stop the deer, I think it is the small they don't like, she has a video on it or u could ask her, she is real friendly & helpful U could maybe spray it just on certain things...like these special hydrangeas?
Hi jess, this will probably be my last comment seeing how many you get and you will never have time to answer them all, love watching the videos love the music in the background you're a fantastic singer!

Dang that one too!! Love it! Great suggestions
Need a hard hat!! :-)
Lol I do!
What kind of gloves do you use? I am always needing them.
I like the Digz ones from Home Depot. But I’ll use whatever. I like the ones with runner on the palm and breathable material on the back side :)
Is it wise to be fertilizing your hydrangeas this late in the season?
I just used a root starter! I do this with everything and it does just fine in my area!
Hey C it looks like your flag is hung all the time, I’m wondering how you have it lit up at night?
It is hung 24/7! I don’t light it up but that’s a great idea :)
How are the other hydrangea doing at the back
They are doing great!! Hopefully next year they will be even better!
