Best solution for the lack of QuickCharge port is to use a multi-port QuickCharge car adapter. I have a DIY 1.2KWH solar generator and I loaded up the panel with five 12V "cigarette lighter" power points rather than dedicated USB ports (I did include one - WITH QuickCharge...). Gives me more flexibility and upgradeability. But this solution also highlights a shortcoming of the AC200 - not enough 12V "cigarette lighter" power points. Lots of camping gear - from fans to lights - comes with a cigarette lighter adapter plug.

Strictly speaking, the chart shown indicated that having the DC circuitry on added about 4-4.5W on top of the usual "standby" consumption of about 10W. 7:10 p.m. EST. I was just on Facebook marketplace and this offer came up at $1,099 without the solar panel.) . I got one. Thanks for the great review Hobotech.
UK delivery costs really kill the deal. I was all set for an AC200, AC50S and a couple solar panels, but the shipping was almost half the cost again. Really gutted.
Had a racoon on a previous property that was left behind by the previous owner his name was phew he wouls eat lucky charms push the marshmallows aside and then eat them last🙂
Thank you for such an outstanding channel! You make it all so much easier to understand...especially with demonstrations and answering everyone’s question. Awesome. We just got in on the AC200 + 2 120w panels thanks to you. We could have gone for just the AC200 at $1299, but decided the folding panels are a good buy and we need the portability. Hope the included cables are enough to hook them up to AC200 correctly. We have a couple of 190w panels from our house roof array that have a minor damage to metal outside edge. We are hoping we can figure out if compatible and connect to AC200 when we are at home. Thanks for making this technical stuff FUN!
Some inverter generators can be connected in parallel, an idea that could be incorporated in these units, plus the external battery addition feature. Buy a starter unit and add to it as needs require or budget allows.
Camp Runamuck Not that challenging. I already have something that’s about 75% built because one of my original plans was to be able to charge my van’s house system via an EV charger. You can purchase the adapter that talks to the charger cpu online. The biggest issue is needing to safely kill one leg of the 240v that the charger normally outputs.
OK, OK you convinced me, I'll buy it....GRIN. You knew I was waiting breathlessly for this to come out. It was even better than I had hoped (other than the weight). Of course my Bluetti 1500 is not all that light itself. I can use it to power my phones, tablets, what not. Question, how is the speed of charging on the wireless chargers on top of the unit? Of course it doesn't matter really as I already bought it. May be a good question to answer when you get the newer one to test down the road. I had trouble with my credit card for some reason and fell from contributor 98 on the Early Bird (not super early bird) down to 105 by the time I got it straightened out (a matter of minutes). By the time I got it going we had passed over $1M to enable the first stretch goal of the car charger cable and it's only been live for a little over 4 hours. You are right, this sucker is going to sell out in a matter of hours if not 3-4 days.
What are your thoughts on using one of these with the Ford F-150 power boost system that creates 7200 watts of power in the bed of the truck? Ideas for backup power on a house? Solar? AC cooling in the summer and Infrared heating for winter camping? Thanks for the quality content you put here on RUclips!! Appreciate it...
@HOBOTECH Thanks for all that you do! I went ahead and bought the 2400.. it works.. but they lost the first one they tried to send me. They told me that for the mistake, they would give me an extra year's warranty. Sound good, right? Well, they have yet to follow up with that. When they do, I'll update my review of their product. I have to be honest here tho.. I'm kinda pissed that I didn't know the AC was coming out (at all) ! Nobody's fault but my own, I suppose, but still :( I may choose to buy the AC after the production models come out, and sell the 2400 on Ebay.. ha ha!
Is this one to replace/upgrade the “blue” Bluetti or is it a bigger one and the blue one is a smaller option? I am confused. Thinking this is upgrade. ?
We need to get like minds together.. save seeds, plant some food seeds in areas you may go back to... apple seeds, grape raspberry.. yucca, paw paw, pecan, to help feed others too. Edible cannas, mulberry, currents, wild onion..pumpkins..asperagus near streams..
Name it the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator! Can you speak about the 120W panels Bluetti is selling with the early bird special? I bought the AC200 with 2 panels. Hope they're good! Thanks for your time
Its possible the screen on these devices could get damaged by accident if struct by an object. So a plexiglass insert or coverdoor would be nice , or make one. As for the 12v car port, I think those are fuse limited at 10A for safety due to thin consumer device wires , hence can only supply 120w but thats usually enough.
Was a few days late to the party but they still had the extended packages available, which include 2x the good solar panels. I think they have closed it by now though
Great review & seemingly solid product from Bluetti. I’ll consider this unit if I need to up my power from the GoalZero 1000 & Jackery 500 that I’m currently running.
What is the best backup for a server size desktop with 4 4K monitors & two giant laptops and one ipad? That would turn on if electric source cuts off (or we turn on manually) and run for at least a day and then be able to solar power also and recharge and run for indefinite on solar and batteries? these are our source of work, and even if have to work in the dark and eat canned beans, we need these to be backed up. Oh, yea, and we rent, have to move someday, so all of this needs to be semi portable, we could use a dolly- but can’t hook up permanently to the house, like no rooftop solar array stuff. Newbie here, just learning all this, signed on patreon and shared your site. THANKS!
One complaint that's not limited to just this is the lack of extra 12v outputs in solar generators like these... Many typical RV/nomad QoL devices use 12v plugs and it would be nice to not have to plug in an ugly dongle
cant read all comments so forgive if answered.....Using to charge phones... since you can be charging phones while unit is being charged.....do that. Biggest question..... I've read that it cannot be charged by wind generator, but can be by car. ??? Wind generator is 12 volts so why can't that be hooked to same port as 12 volt car????????
$999.00 is 1/2 of what I paid for a 4Patriots 1800/2000W Solar AC/DC Power Station 1 1/2 yrs ago. With the touch LCD screen and other features this blueberry is probably more advanced.
I am ready to purchase my first solar system. I’ve been looking at the Inergy Flex 1500 power station. Can you tell me how it compares to this Bluetti? Thanks
You should test round trip efficiency. This way we get a better idea of what the usable capacity of the battery is. The manufacturer can but any claim on it.
I don't like that having to select the DC input, as every time you park or drive you have to go change that manually. Can't someone make an auto-switch or combiner of some kind, similar to Renogy;s DC-DC charger that has MTTP built in?
AC200 was the priority. If I ask they would send me one to review no doubt. However, I just had them send me their solar panels so that will probably be my next update for Bluetti.
I never saw the $999 price and I was there when the link unlocked - I was signed up beforehand. Not sure what you had to do to get that. I went for the $1659. @HOBOTECH a review of the folding 120W panels would be cool.
Nice review. I'm setting up for a van conversion. You said solar up to 700 watts input from solar. Great, roof panels. You said cigarette lighter charging while driving. Can you do both while driving? I didn't see multiple input charging ports. 25 amp DC output. How would you connect the unit to a DC fuse box. Thanks
Excelent review as always. You missed the reason why there is a 10-23 watt overhead for DC. The battery is 51V. Bluetti is using a step down/buck converter to give U 13.4V on all DC plugs no matter what the battery voltage. You praised this option! The converter is probably a 60V to 13.4V at 30A.. This buck converter is causing the 10-23 watt overhead. There are NO free lunches on power conversion! Your suggestion to use a seperate USB charger is not good for two reasons. 1st, wattage loss again with other hardware. 2nd, I just spent $1,200+ for this device, why do I want to carry additional hardware? Keep up the good work...
The video was already 37 minutes long I left a lot out I couldn't cover but I did in fact say the overhead loss was due to the 12v conversion. I only recommend people use separate chargers if they need more ports and have no other options. Again, I said it is very inefficient to do this.
Why don't they give it wheels and an extendable handle like luggage? That way it's easily transportable and you only have to be able to pick up 57lbs. not carry for an extended period. BTW the heat gun needs to be named KILLA like Geraldine's boyfriend from Laugh-In.
Gen2 unit needs "Section" switches (DC high current, DC USB, and AC). Generators have these for a reason, a shame Blue did not think of this but a certain addition I hope for Gen 2.
Hey hey hobo tech Quick 2 questions. 1 With this being the most recent state of the art generator technology what’s next, perhaps one charge time?? 2. You advised awhile back to go with the Jackery 1000 or await for this to be developed and tested. Following your advise always I held off on the Jackery 1000, and waited for new 100W panel. So it’s either spend $1000 and have Jackery now or get the AC200 but need wait 2 months(perhaps find something cheap in the interim) along with your favorite100W Jackery panel @$. Once again advise please?
$1,507. The screen is great, if you're sitting on the floor to see it. Screen should be removable. Could care less about the fast charge USB as there are other ways to charge cell phones. Wouldn't mind one of these for our van build, but alas, we built around 2 Battleborns that we got brand new for $600 each from an RV'er that decided to use 4 of the 6 he bought, since you can't send them back, he took a loss.
I'm curious as to what else I should get along with the AC200 that I will need (or way around getting a cable from them, what else i can use, etc) to purchase from them with it. That way I dont have to wait another time period to receive it. Hope that makes sense, been doing research all day and brain fried. Thanks
Hobo I pulled the trigger on the unit. First time that I have purchased something like this. So grateful for your videos. Novice at this so what do you recommend I get for solar panels? Thanks a ton for your help and subscribe for your channel. Thanks again
Very informative - Question. RV owner. I have a AC/Propane Dometic refrigerator. Can I plug the AC cord into this and have it operate the frig while I am driving instead of propane. I love the simultaneous DC and AC charging. I would also plug in a portable solar panel into this when boondocking.
Are you familiar with Tinywattssolar products? Can you recommend what is the best option, performance and price. M in the process to choose a solar power system for my van. I have a good budget just trying to figure out what's my best option
Hey Hobotech! You helped me out with a question a while back, and I just had another one after watching. (Apologies in advance if the answer should be obvious, but just to confirm for a noob like myself, and possibly others....) Would the AC200 be compatible with 2 Solar Saga 100's, or would I need a specific adapter to be able to plug them in (If so, what are my options)? This product sounds great, but I had already purchased the Jackery 1000 and 2 Saga 100's (Damn you and your awesome reviews....I just want to buy everything now....haha) Thanks again for being so informative, and I hope you guys are doing well.
You can't use the new version 3 panels on the AC200 without building your own adapter or doing some surgery. The 8mm female to MC4 you need simply doesn't exist.
@@HOBOTECH That's unfortunate, but I'm glad you gave me a heads up before purchasing. Feels like something like that should exist by now. Appreciate the quick response. Keep making the great vids.

THANKYOU for responding I appreciate that very much That’s fantastic you guys all touch base on these amazing pieces of technology I never thought we’d all see outside the military but secrets get out and ideas run wild These solar generators are already generations ahead as the military has a system that somehow charges by lack of photons at night I dont know how classified it is if it is at all But think of how a heat pump works or a thermal core heater that is drilled a grand into the earth and uses the earths temp differentiation to both heat and cool homes In that sense the process to produce electric current can be achieved by solar sunlit power as it can also be equally or supposedly surpassing it by a reverse process of going dark I can only see that happening from the sun setting til it’s deduced into all darkness to create a polar reversal and produce current but once in constant state of darkness how the hell does lacking photons or what exists within the dark that produces endless juice where as I was told these generators are basically just buried into the elites bunkers as well as Trumps and our military And basically you can easily create darkness anywhere anytime But the trillion dollar literal industry they wont reveal is parallel with say COLD FUSION These two endless free power no moving parts gifts from GOD due exist with one most certainly for sure being the DARK PHOTON GENERATORS somehow the polar opposite of a daytime or lit photon albeit a darkening and dark photon that is always theoretically in motion as it wants to ignite It’s at a constant battle with itself to illuminate as all photons come alive within the suns rays In this sense it begins to somewhat turn on the proverbial lights all pun intended It may also be total nonsense but if you and Will are the guys to pull it off you must cut me in on a percentage Have a great Fourth of July 🇺🇸 brother
You seem to be a pretty smart fella, and you're knowledge of correct terminology is almost spot on. However no film was used in the recording of this video. Most of us are just not filming anymore.
I have a question about your efficiency test. For the DC test, you’re pulling about 100w and the AC test you’re pulling over 300w. If both DC and AC have an equal idle power draw, wouldn’t it skew them results to show that AC is more efficient since it’s running for less hours and would have less wasted idle power consumption?
Two different circuits, two different types of conversions. The DC out is regulated DC to DC conversion where the inverter is DC to AC conversion. The latter always has a loss of 10%-20% typical where the DC varies significantly. Very few will buy this and run a 100w AC load so I use typically around 0.2C rate to test that. DC loads are always going to be lower draw.

A loud, obnoxious tool that blows a lot of hot air and faults everything?
That’s definitely a Karen.
Maybe I should call it "The Ex".
Holy crap that's funny
This is gold
That shit! Just lies!!! For money during a pandemic just shameful!!
FYI... to not degrade the normal Karen's, they have officially named them Karin.
The best you said about the people that make the device is that they ask, AND listen!
I bought it any way, so thank you for the review.
7:10 p.m. EST. I was just on Facebook marketplace and this offer came up at $1,099 without the solar panel.) . I got one. Thanks for the great review Hobotech.
1bsbsbsbs hello, do you know if that offer is still available? If so, would you mind showing me how you got it. Thanks!
Skateboard wheels and pull out handle
UK delivery costs really kill the deal. I was all set for an AC200, AC50S and a couple solar panels, but the shipping was almost half the cost again. Really gutted.
Had a racoon on a previous property that was left behind by the previous owner his name was phew he wouls eat lucky charms push the marshmallows aside and then eat them last🙂
A quality extension cable included, with the other adapter cables would be good, for using the panels outside, with the generator inside
Nice review, really appreciate all the info.
Heat gun nickname: Yellow Fever.
Call it - The Angry Dragon 🐉
Would you pick this over the Bluetti EB240? Thanks for the detailed reviews!
I would. Battery is smaller but it's better in every other way.
Who put that Jackery box on the shelf during the Bluetti review? Dang kitty cat I bet.
🤣
Some inverter generators can be connected in parallel, an idea that could be incorporated in these units, plus the external battery addition feature. Buy a starter unit and add to it as needs require or budget allows.
It would be cool if you could charge them from a Tesla charging station
Maybe you could invent the adapter........... just sayin.........its a great idea.
Scott Christensen looks to me like it would be a good ideal
Camp Runamuck Not that challenging. I already have something that’s about 75% built because one of my original plans was to be able to charge my van’s house system via an EV charger. You can purchase the adapter that talks to the charger cpu online. The biggest issue is needing to safely kill one leg of the 240v that the charger normally outputs.
Stephen Otto thanks man for the input . That would sure be a cool option.
I cut the wireless tests out for time not realizing so many wanted to see it. It charges at 5v 1A each pad. I think the 15w rating is total, not each.
Call your heat gun after the Asgard Marvel character called.. Destroyer!
I love how all the reviewers refer to the 12volt adaptor as the “cigarette lighter.” When was the last time you saw a cigarette lighter in a car?!?😂
Shows our age.
H K and your point is???
Sorry. When I saw your post, I saw “Shows YOUR age.
We are good.
When was the last time you had seen someone stick gloves in a glove box?
It looks great ... I hope they deliver ..
Be safe ...💕🙏🏿💕
Name the heat gun “Karen”
Your solar panel was 2 inches above regulation height, don't worry I took care of it.
Nobody's fault but my own, I suppose, but still :( I may choose to buy the AC after the production models come out, and sell the 2400 on Ebay.. ha ha!
"The Watt Wacker"
Is this one to replace/upgrade the “blue” Bluetti or is it a bigger one and the blue one is a smaller option? I am confused. Thinking this is upgrade. ?
JUST WHAT SHE NEEDS IS A “GOOD ROGERING”!!!!!!!!!!...........!
Thanks for your time
They didn't send me panels yet. That will be a future review. I'd go ahead and get them though as they are guaranteed to work with the AC200.
This Product is Going to Make Proudly Smarter People' Just In Understanding How It Works!😶👍
Nice Timing! Glad to hear it has UL listing.
That EcoFlow gunshot shade at 4:52 is EVERYTHING in this video. HAHA. NICE!!!
cant read all comments so forgive if answered.....Using to charge phones... since you can be charging phones while unit is being charged.....do that.
I was about to buy a 4Patriots generator tomorrow. Maybe I should get this one instead?? Hmmm
I am ready to purchase my first solar system. I’ve been looking at the Inergy Flex 1500 power station. Can you tell me how it compares to this Bluetti? Thanks
Stick with the etti unless you really need to add batteries for some reason
Always enjoy your reviews. This Bluetti should have been named “The Monster” very powerful.
Ordered an AC200, now I'm waiting for your review of the AC100. Figured you would have your gloves on one by now.
AC200 was the priority. If I ask they would send me one to review no doubt. However, I just had them send me their solar panels so that will probably be my next update for Bluetti.
Eaaa I was in Tucson Yesterday for my dad's 84th birthday. Yea it was hot. Seen the fire on the Rincon Mtns on the way in.
I never saw the $999 price and I was there when the link unlocked - I was signed up beforehand. Not sure what you had to do to get that. I went for the $1659. @HOBOTECH a review of the folding 120W panels would be cool.
Awesome. They are on the way!
You can get a package with a trolley that comes with a cover. Check the Indiegogo page.
I like this model. So I'll assume it'll run my keurig coffee machine ? it uses 1500 watts peak. Thanks. Enjoyed the video.
Cancelled my R600 Pro pre-order a few days ago in anticipation of this. 600W inverter vs 2000W inverter at this price point is a no-brainer.
Can I have your R600 preorder :) Seriously, would love that unit.
The R600 Pro for $479 is still a crazy deal. I'll be sticking with that one size I like the size and the future expansion port.
Well the R600 line isn't meant for high powered stuff that was the Delta's job
Glad this came out before the AC200 came out
Awesome review! Thank you!
Hoping to see a review of the INERGY FLEX 1500 POWER STATION
Write to them. Maybe they will send me one. I wrote to them twice and they don't want my help.
Love your videos thanks,
Can you charge the Bluetti ac200 with solar panels at the same time you are using power?
Thanks
Absolutely. I did state it has pass through charging.
Just bought mine! Missed the super earlybird watching full video at 07:20 lol. Love HOBOTECH! Ty Sir!
With being able to charge it with both ac and dc you can charge it with both the ac and dc outputs of some generators
Love your channel. It’s awesome / thank you for all your great solar videos. 😎🎷
I'm curious as to what else I should get along with the AC200 that I will need (or way around getting a cable from them, what else i can use, etc) to purchase from them with it. That way I dont have to wait another time period to receive it. Hope that makes sense, been doing research all day and brain fried. Thanks
Thank you for the awesome review. I preordered one for my 4x4 ambulance RV conversion.
Would you consider doing a direct comparison to a gas or propane powered generator?
Hobo I pulled the trigger on the unit. First time that I have purchased something like this. So grateful for your videos. Novice at this so what do you recommend I get for solar panels? Thanks a ton for your help and subscribe for your channel. Thanks again
I suggest getting the Bluetti ones as part of the bundle. Otherwise, the BougeRV ones on sale right now.
Sure, but absorption fridges are absolute power hogs. Mine pulls somewhere around 200w constantly.
This product sounds great, but I had already purchased the Jackery 1000 and 2 Saga 100's (Damn you and your awesome reviews....I just want to buy everything now....haha)
Thanks again for being so informative, and I hope you guys are doing well.
I can’t tell you how great your channel is bro
I got to get one of these to keep our tasers hot
It would be a hell of a show to get you and the GREAT “””WILL PROUSE””” on a simultaneous show or better yet together making your own partnered masterpiece
I hope to make a trip to Vegas eventually and will ask him about doing a collab of some kind. He and I do chat offline.
THANKYOU for responding
I appreciate that very much
That’s fantastic you guys all touch base on these amazing pieces of technology I never thought we’d all see outside the military but secrets get out and ideas run wild
These solar generators are already generations ahead as the military has a system that somehow charges by lack of photons at night
I dont know how classified it is if it is at all
But think of how a heat pump works or a thermal core heater that is drilled a grand into the earth and uses the earths temp differentiation to both heat and cool homes
In that sense the process to produce electric current can be achieved by solar sunlit power as it can also be equally or supposedly surpassing it by a reverse process of going dark
I can only see that happening from the sun setting til it’s deduced into all darkness to create a polar reversal and produce current but once in constant state of darkness how the hell does lacking photons or what exists within the dark that produces endless juice where as I was told these generators are basically just buried into the elites bunkers as well as Trumps and our military
And basically you can easily create darkness anywhere anytime
But the trillion dollar literal industry they wont reveal is parallel with say COLD FUSION
These two endless free power no moving parts gifts from GOD due exist with one most certainly for sure being the DARK PHOTON GENERATORS
somehow the polar opposite of a daytime or lit photon albeit a darkening and dark photon that is always theoretically in motion as it wants to ignite
It’s at a constant battle with itself to illuminate as all photons come alive within the suns rays
In this sense it begins to somewhat turn on the proverbial lights all pun intended
It may also be total nonsense but if you and Will are the guys to pull it off you must cut me in on a percentage
Have a great Fourth of July 🇺🇸 brother
Dueling heat gun match. My gun is bigger than your gun.
You seem to be a pretty smart fella, and you're knowledge of correct terminology is almost spot on. However no film was used in the recording of this video. Most of us are just not filming anymore.
Yes, but "filming" sounds more romantic.
Wow! In canada, on amazon, the older smaller bluetti generator is over $9,000 and apparently used to be $2,500....so I don't think we will be seeing this Bluetti anywhere near $999 or the Canadian equivalent 😒
Doctor hobotech as an expert an with avast knowledge of your victims uh I mean test subjects 😱 I would like to ask a hypothetical question . If you were to crowd fund a power box ( which you should) to be used as a portable power product to used daily and /or support people during devastating natural disasters.also thank you for all your sharing and highly entertaining reviews.
Thanks for this. Excellent review.
