Good review, would have been good to see the interior pockets and individual layers though?

Interesting review. Simple, down to earth, focusing on practicality, great.

Maybe he should have put the thermal liner in the back pocket... just a thought xD

    Hey guys, QQ:
For someone who needs a jacket to ride mostly in winter conditions (meaning rain and sometimes close to zero degrees) would you say this will do? If not, what Merlin jacket would you recommend for cold weather riding?
    Cheers.

Very nice jacket, thinking about switching from Belstaff. Ah, no. But an impressive jacket for an impressive price. Thanks for the review!

Didn’t pick it up from the video - can the waterproof layer be worn as a standalone waterproof jacket/over the top of this jacket? Alpinestars and Revit have jackets that do this and it’s pretty sweet.

Hi. The waterproof liner is mainly designed to be used inside the jacket. - Iza

I've bought both the Jacket & Trousers and there are a couple of minor things that could have been improved. The wrists could really do with an elastic cuff - especially on the inner liner. There's a real chilly wind gap on the wrists and I've found I'm pulling down my fleece or base layer to stop this. The neck connector is a real pain. It's impossible with gloves on, even thin summer gloves and hard work even without. A magnet or an easier connection would have been much better. Overall though, a great jacket and feels good, generally warm & comfortable and looks good :) The trousers are decent too, with a superb boot zip and fastener but still have 1 issue. The inner lining zips dig into your knees when you're sat on the bike!! What's that all about? This is while wearing all 3 liners (I've not used without). Clearly not tested properly. Happy overall though but I should have tried the Halverssons or similar before taking the plunge.

Are you saying that you should size up from your normal merlin size? e.g i am a Size: M in the merlin Yoxall 2 so should go for a Size L in the mahala pro 3-in-1 ? Thanks.
