What makes me sad is this is effectively killing the NCRs future chances in any of the future fallouts and most likely Bethesda will keep us in the east cost and not give us no more of our beautiful beautiful deserts.
Not necessarily. Enclave was decimated in 2 but popped up in 3 and again in 76.
I mean dont get me theres a shitload of inconsistencies but honestly I at this point just chalk it up as "its the nuclear wasteland and information travels like a god damn childrens game of telephone" kind of shit.
Also enclave appeared in the show as well. Which is pretty wild since supposedly they were wiped out in the mojave since 2.

@@elmecaniconaranja1126 Not only that, they moved to a second capital, don’t know where but it’s in the lore. They’ll be fine, the nuking of Shady Sands made the NCR very weaker, but they’re not completely dead. I think Bethesda has plans for the NCR, no way they would completely wipe them out.
@@Kspice9000 Well they do have several bases that we don’t know about, theres a couple In Illinois and Chicago.
A lot of the frustration with the show will either be fixed with season 2 or made 1000x worse.

The only people frustrated are Fallout posers. Anyone who played New Vegas knew that NCR is fucked even after doing their ending. Nuking Shady Sands was like blasting a kneecap off a guy who's lying in agony.

Assuming that House winning New Vegas is Cannon: House worked with Hank to destroy Shady Sands AFTER the 2nd Battle of Hoover Dam(The first battle being 2277). The whiteboard in vault 4 was to leave a sense of ambiguity for the story so that it can be explained in season two, and with the goal to 'piss off' nonanalytical viewers. If you really think about it Hank would have zero if any influence in the Wasteland, but House does...House Always Wins.

I cannot believe that Shady Sands fell, not to some huge militant faction. But, due to one salty pre/war crusty, dusty Vault-Tec executive who got really annoyed that his wife wanted a divorce. I, that’s the most out of left field plot reveal I have ever seen in a piece of media.

But honestly what is it with Bethesda blowing up beloved locations in their IPs? They did the exact same shit with Morrowind as well.
It’s baffling how many people saw shady sands nuked and somehow jumped to the conclusion that New Vegas is no longer canon. yeh there’s a date about the fall of Shady Sands but that’s what it is, the fall not “the bombing” or “the destruction”, the fall and if any of these so called New Vegas fans actually cared they’d remember that the NCR was “FALLING” by the time New Vegas begins. The actual nuke detonated was just the killing blow to Shady Sands after the NCR stretched their forces too thin when fighting Caesars Legion

It would explain why so many NV Npcs think NCR is fragile. And it makes more sense for the enclave to destroy Shady Sands after it's weakened

I wouldn't be mad if the NCR got nuked, I AM MAD THAT I WASN'T THE ONE TO DO IT, IT SHOULD'VE BEEN MY COURIER PLAYTHROUGH NOT VAULT TEC!
But honestly, it would be sick if the Courier was the one who nuked the NCR for an independent Vegas and is the main villain of season 2, which explains the lack of Mr. House, Legion, and NCR, he wiped the slate clean so that New Vegas will thrive, but as a consequence of literally nuking two of the most powerful factions in the wasteland, New Vegas is literally on the brink of collapse, just retcon it that Shady Sands fell in 2277 and move it to 2283, fake news, or just say Shady Sands fell to Vault Tec but NCR itself was still alive and well for the New Vegas events to kick in but the Courier just finishes the job so we can have the Courier as a main villain or interesting side character, like jeez can we at least get something? And the show already retconned a lot of things so might as well retcon itself to make an even more interesting story.
Or if not, since we do not have the NCR anymore, bring back the Desert Rangers for New Vegas arc at least and make them fight raiders or Caesar's Legion wannabes, make them an active force in restoring the Mojave Wasteland, actually do something to a faction that hasn't been given love in decades and make them interesting in another medium, I absolutely loved the Russell storyline mod and Fallout needs more Desert Rangers content.
Like there is so many things you can do to make things interesting, Fallout's lore is so rich and this is what we get? Enclave is probably gonna die to what? Another Self-destruct sequence in their Rockies base or something? Like dang, I want something interesting to happen in season 2, please be anything, like anything as long as it's not boring or garbage since the Mojave wasteland storyline was the most memorable in this franchise.
They destroyed Shady Sands because the president is no longer indi and they can't stand a white boy winning 😢
Also the BoS is the Boss and everything that happens in the Wasteland should revolve around big knights in power armor scouting crumbled cities where people still live besides rottin skeletons (like in the Boneyard) :DDD cuz thats what fallout is all about amirite fellas
