I'm so glad that the crappy month of May is now behind me. Excited to be back into the MCU and I hope you enjoyed this reaction! You'll notice the editing is a bit different in this video. 👀 Last month I was sort of forced to abandon the editing program I've been using since the start of this channel and learn a new one. So I decided to really buckle down and LEARN. And with that came an understanding that I could make things better and more efficient. So I'm gonna try this out for a bit and see how it goes. But I'm willing to give it my best shot. 🤞 I appreciate your support and thank you for being here. ❤ MY REACTION LIBRARY IS NOW RIGHT ON MY WEBSITE: kaiielle.com
I find it very sad that you don’t really appreciate the humor in these Guardian movies. You have to take in to account that Drax’s character is primarily way too literal in his understanding of language. But, yes, it’s a means to inject some very silly humor and it’s a trademark of the franchise. I for one, loved it and appreciate it. I’d hope that if you rewatch, that you’d grow to appreciate the humor as well.
"Mere movie fans".....? Considering how upset the comic fans get when they change stuff, I'm glad i haven't read them all. I feel like it would ruin the movie experience
@@erikawilliams9558 some fans get upset. They changed ALOT in the Spiderverse movies and everyone loves them. The Dark Knight changes things from the comics. Probably the greatest comic book movie of all time. Captain America Civil War has very little in common with the comics. Hell most of the Infinity Saga is a departure. The issue is whether the change makes sense or fundamentally undermines an established character.
Michael Rooker (Yondu) is a great actor who doesn’t seem to get the respect he deserves but I would love to see more Yondu in future movies. I never would have expected “I’m Mary Poppins y’all” to cause an emotional reaction.
I'm in the rare camp where I think Vol 2 is better than Vol 1. I love Vol 1, but with 'origins' out of the way, we get to have so much great character and relationship building. The overlapping stories about family and friendship just really hit home for me.
That whistle scene with Yondu killing all the men is one of my favorite scenes. Has such a elegant feeling for something so violent. Also baby Groot will never not make me laugh and smile, HES SO ADORABLE 🥰
I love how honest you are with your reactions and opinions. Lots of mcu reactions lean toward what the internet thinks of them. If a movie is highly praise, they’ll praise it. If a movie is badly received, they’ll dislike it. But you put your opinions above all else, and it makes your reactions refreshing. I mention it, because the 1st Guardians is usually on everyone’s top 5-10 movies. And it is usually in the middle for me haha. Thanks for your reactions and hope your channel succeeds more and more ❤️
Thanks for this comment, it really means a lot to hear this! I will always be honest, even if it gets me a lot of hate engagement for being that way (Pulp Fiction and Man of Steel 🤣).
39:03 this scene... just wow... I've seen dozens of reaction and everytime I see it with the music, visuals, the 'speech' and the baby's cry it gives me chills all down my spine Also 41:00 this scene shows they're an actual family. The 'wheres quill' also kills me
This was one of my favorite movies the Guardians were in, I enjoyed it very much. Yondu made me proud of him knowing he protected Srar Lord practically raising him since he was a child making Quill the man he is today, and in the end Yondu gave his life for Peter because he was like a son to him which is why he said he was lucky Peter was his boy.
Sooo, glad you’re alive. That sounded odd, but I’m sure you get the gist. Back to the salt mines and more MCU, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Welcome back.
🥬 Hey glad to see you back in the game! Honestly this was one of my favorite MCU movies, the humor hit really well for me (as opposed to some other movies I have seen recently). Phase three is truly the golden era of the MCU. However I respect that not everyone is going to feel the same way about every movie. Your sense of humor is of course different than mine as is your taste in music. I respect that. Moreover, I respect that you are willing to say it in your reaction and review without feeling pressure to like a movie just because it is popular even if it didn't hit for you. I am glad I have been subscribed and looking forward to your future reviews. Now I am off to see your take on Spider-Man: Homecoming. 😊
I actually love Kurt Russell as Peter's father. He looks actually quite close to Peter/Chris Pratt physically in this movie and of course their accents even. They have some good chemistry too
the difference between most other movies and this one when it comes to the music is that it's actually part of the story and exists within the movie, often the characters are listening to the same music, such as when Groot and Quill are listening to the funeral song at the end, it's not just the walkman that he carried with him for years, his ship has a built in cassette player which you see a few times. For me that makes it way more meaningful than the music in most other movies. Some movies have "radio music" just randomly playing in the background and it has no connection with anything and doesn't exist within what's happening, in those cases I agree it's more tacky. Not here. Baby Groot has his own show on Disney+, so it's not the last time you see him, but for other future adventures he wont be a baby anymore.
The whole trilogy has been about Rocket Raccoon. Guardians 1, “He called me vermin, she called me rodent! I didn’t ask to be torn apart and be put back together over and over.” -Rocket. Guardians 2, “I was cybernetically engineered to pilot a spacecraft.” -Rocket. “You can fool yourself and everyone else, but you can’t fool me. I know who you are… I know everything about you. I know you play like you’re the meanest in the heart but actually you’re the most scared of all…I know you steal batteries you don’t need and push away anyone who’s willing to put up with you because just a little bit of love reminds you of how big and empty that hole inside you actually is…I know them scientist what made you never gave a rats ass about you…Just like my own damn parents who sold me, their own little baby to slavery. I know who you are boy, because you’re me” -Yondu.
This movie grew on me after a few times. Glad you enjoyed it. You have a great grasp on the ongoing story that is the MCU! Glad you are continuing this journey, it's great seeing your reaction to it! Glad your back and feeling better!
I love Stan Lee's cameo effectively cementing him as a) a Watcher and b) the same character throughout all the movies. It was such a perfect cameo role for the guy
Although this wasn't his last cameo before he died, and he hadn't been involved in writing comics for decades at this point, it is heartbreaking in the end credits scene when he says "Come on guys, I've got so many more stories to tell."
I wasn't a fan of Vol 2 the first time I saw it.. I thought it was ok. As more time passes, it's become one of my favorites in the MCU. There is so much heart in this.
It's always hard for me to rank all three GOTG movies. I can say that I really liked the third one. One of my favorite moments in Vol. 2 is when Yondu, Rocket, Groot, & Kraglin do 700 jumps to get to Ego's planet and their eyes get all huge and start freaking out 😂 That scene makes me laugh every time! My other favorite scene is when Nebula tells Gamora that, "all she wanted was a sister" and that every time she lost a fight Thanos would replace a part of her with machinery 💔 That scene makes me tear up 😢I find it amusing that your second favorite Stan Lee cameo is the one where he's telling the Watchers about your first favorite Stan Lee cameo in Civil War (Tony Stank) 🌲🍃
I thought the tape scene was hysterical. The absolute contrast between the seriousness of the situation and the mundane, pathetic "Do you have tape?" is just it for me. And also, I love Drax and the humor around him, but I can understand why you wouldn't care for it. Maybe my sense of humor is skewed.
The soundtrack is very much a James Gunn thing, Starlord never actually had a Walkman in the comics it was just something Gunn added to the character that's now made it's way into the comics. Gunn's Superman film for example I highly doubt he'll go for a heavily licenced soundtrack for the film but wouldn't complain if they use (Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman - Kinks, Superman - R.E.M., Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down, and Five for Fighting - Superman (It's Not Easy) to name a few. So yeah I feel like the music is unique to the Guardians films.
I have a personally attachment to this movie. Primarily because it came out one month after my father passed. So naturally you can understand how it REALLY hit me at certain parts.
Loved all 3 Guardians movies, I took my kids to see the first and their reaction to Vol. 1 was the same reaction I had to Return of the Jedi as a kid, it blew their minds, it was different with no expectations going into it. Vol. 2 had us rolling in stitches and upped the emotions and allowed for a lot of character growth. We also listened to the Vol. 2 soundtrack the whole summer and will forever remind me of 2017. Vol 3.....😉😂😥😳❤
Great to see you back, Kaiielle! I was wondering where you've been. So sorry to hear that you were unwell, and I hope you'll recover fully soon. I can understand your feeling that some of the humour falls flat in this story, but it's heartening that the more touching moments spoke to you. I'm also glad to hear that you have a greater appreciation for the first Guardians movie. James Gunn has really told a big story with these characters over the three films, and each following movie informs the ones that came before. I hope you'll enjoy what comes next for Groot and his friends 🌳 As for the Sovereign being ineffectual as villains -- well, I can't dispute that, but there's a reason for it. Much more than that, I can't tell you.
Vin Diesel said in an interview that only in his scripts when Groot said "I am Groot" was what Groot was actually saying which was either one or two words or even a full paragraph
Saw all 3 and would be hard for me to pick a favorite. That may be a cop out, but each one develops the characters and the theme of family in such an effective way.
Thank you for saying that. ❤️ The majority of viewers don't watch them (and this is very common across the reaction space in general), so it's always nice to hear from the people that do.
I'm glad you're back and feeling better! Sounding better in the outro too. So, improvement continues! 🌱 Personally, I rank this Guardians movie just a tiny bit higher than the first. Baby Groot is adorable, there's some good character development with Rocket (Groot and Rocket are my favorite Guardians characters), we're introduced to Mantis, and Ego is a good, memorable villain. Those are the tipping points for me. Especially Ego. Ronin in the first movie (the bad guy, in case you forgot his name, which I couldn't blame anyone for since he was so forgettable) was supposed to be this tough, scary dude, but he hardly did anything in the movie at all. He was almost an afterthought. That's the biggest difference between the two for me. Looking forward to your future reactions MCU and otherwise. And wishing you continued health improvement until you're back to 💯 ✌🤓
I liked that you thought this Guardians was better than the first. Fun fact - in the after credit...where Sylvester Stallone and the others are talking, the last to speak was a robot head (saying "I missed you guys.) ... that was a non-credited part that was voiced by Miley Cyrus.
🪵 So , GotG one is my favourite of the 2 (and 3 ) BUT , there are aspects of the movies that i like more from 2 and 3 . Yondu is the main Character in 2 guys lets face it. And believe it or not ,i cried at the "he wasn't your daddy" and when i saw kraglin how happy he was that the ravangers came . That showed how much Kraglin respected Yondu and loved him as a person. I fully understand the feelings you have about humor or the movie in general and why those are not your cup of tea . I have a friend that feels this way about Lord of the rings. It is all personal preference at the end of it. Keep up the sincere reactions and reviews .
I'm one of those people who when I first watched this movie, and while I enjoyed it, I still liked the first movie more. However over time after I rewatched both movies a few times (okay several) I came to the realization that I actually enjoy this one more than the first one (more character development and heart to it). I still haven't seen the third one... so I don't know where I'd rank that yet.
Im assuming you didn't know the "talking car" reference, since you've never heard Brandy before. In the 80s, Hasselhoff had a TV show called Knight Rider, which had an egotistical talking car in it. Pure 80s gold!
@@kaiielle Understandable, It's very old, and your very young. It was one of my favorite shows growing up! If you ever watched Boy Meets World, Mr. Feeney was the voice of the car.
I think the term "needle drop" is now the consensus term when referring to what you call using a "radio song" instead of score. I'm not sure when the term was invented, but it recently came into prominence because of MCU and especially GotG.
Hi Kaiielle, I loved your reaction to guard to the Galaxy volume 2 Your reaction is the best❤ I can't wait to see you ray I took guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 someday
The fin is Yondu's original comic look, when I saw it I nerded a little lol Also, Ego is NOT actually a Celestial, he most likely just told them that to feed his, um... ego :P In the comics he doesn't actually know *what* he is, and has many different theories on how he came to be. Waaaaay back in the original comics he claimed he was the mind of a scientist merged with his planet when the star went supernova :P Remember that BIG dude with the staff and 6 eyes in Guardians 1 that they showed when talking about the history of the Power stone? THAT is a Celestial, one of many, this one being Eson the Searcher.
Glad you enjoyed this one, even with all the caveats. Which is kind of how I feel about it. I think this movie is a mix of high highs and low lows. The humor in this one really took me out of it, especially the tazerface stuff (and right around the dark moment of the crew being killed). The jokes just feels more blunt and dragged out, so if it didn't work for you it lingered. Rocket has several moments like that. Same with Drax; they made him dumber overall which I wasn't a fan of, but also gave him some really great lines. On the flipside I really love the Ego / Yondu / Peter and Gamora / Nebula stuff. The themes of family and friends, broken and found homes really worked for me. It's a tough one to rate but the highs bring me back to it more often than Part 1, so I suppose that means I like it more lol. Looking forward to your next video! 🌱
I know you feel the need to be defensive over your dislike of the Guardians movies so far, but honestly it's so nice to have a unique opinion on these movies after we've been inundated with Guardians love for almost 10 years now. I personally adore the movies (I'm part of the camp that prefers 2 to 1, too!) but I completely understand finding the constant humor distracting. At the end of the day, I always come back to how these movies handle the growth of the characters, and the Guardians team is up there with Tony Stark in terms of satisfying and compelling character development in the MCU. There's more coming up that I hope you'll love! 🌱
Agree on the character development, I def appreciated it in this movie and like I said, I'm eager to re-watch the first one to see if it's changed my opinion at all. I'm sure it has a little bit. And thank you for saying what you did about my opinions, that means a lot.
So, for me, this is stronger than the first movie. A huge part of that is because when it came out, I was already a stepdad to a kid with a pretty... horrible "first dad." So Yondu's arc, with the whole "He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy" thing... hit... and hits really hard for me. Even if my kid is a teenager now, and doesn't appreciate how I do things these days. Still, I work very hard to give them a better life than they would have had before. Either way, this movie is probably the one that made Guardians of the Galaxy one of my top-tier groups within the MCU. The heart that is present in their story is just... phenomenal. I won't say anything about the third one. However, I will say that The Holiday Special does contain things that move the ball forward, so you really _should_ watch it. Anyway, Mary Poppins signing off 🏹 Also, when it comes to the music, I love the idea that it is, effectively, Peter's mother talking to him. Awesome Mix Volume 2 was her way of speaking directly to him for after her passing. Oh, and as for Baby Groot, you really need to watch the I Am Groot shorts on Disney+🌳
I want someone to do a What if story on Yondu's survival having enough time to make it to the ship with Peter in his arms. I pictured Peter embracing Yondu as he joins the Guardians of the Galaxy electing Quill the new Captain inheritance to what remains of Yondu's ship so Yondu just hops along for the ride as he tells his adopted son "I'm so proud of you, Quill. You were always the son I longed for. Hell, I love you." "I love you, too, Yondu." Peter says back. Then Yondu gives him the Zune after all as a welcome home present 🎁.
This is the first MCU movie I saw alone in movie theaters (twice). I love it, but I prefer the first. I rank the first very high on my MCU list. The first movie (to me) has more joy/ less sorrow. And the childish humor isn’t as frequent or forced. Glad you’re back, (and in the MCU).
🌳 I like Vol1 and Vol2 about equally, but I think Vol2 is just a bit more for me. The humor can be a bit much at times, but the family relationships, especially Yondu (and his untimely demise) always get me. Great reaction!
I went in very cautious about the guardians movies, only because I read the book, and the only character that was involved in both movies and (original) books. After I saw the first one I realized I love these films.
The Guardians of the Galaxy wiki tells me that this emoji combo represents Groot (baby or otherwise): 👀🌳 I actually did prefer the first movie over the second, even with the flaws you pointed out (which I mostly agree with). The lackluster villain was made up for in my eyes by the sheer number of "villains" who wound up being friends, which provided for the type of sophomoric humor which I still enjoy. 😄 Glad to see you back and feeling better! 💜
I don’t think you understand Drax. He is explained to be extremely surface level in everything and extremely literal. My favorite moment in the whole film is when he and Mantis are sitting on the steps and he’s thinking of his daughter and he has such a mixture of joy and profoujd sadness while thinking of her. Then Mantis touches him to experience what he is feeling and she has such a visceral reaction. I think it gets invalidated by her about to tell Drax about the dark stuff and Gamora walking in. The profoundness of Drax isn’t what he says, but what he DOESN’T say. He’s like a reverse Vulcan. He’s all out there and he also experiences things DEEPLY.
With the Marvel films I’ve found that often I will appreciate them more after viewing the later movies. I have a newfound respect for the earlier ones. 😎
🌱 Draxx kills me in Volume 2 and Yondu's funeral wipes me out. Gamora's expression when Ego says, "and it's not half bad" is hilarious...plus Mantis...sooooooo. Vol. 2🖒
Was wondering if you would like this one more. Some do, some don't. For me it depends on the person. The theme around family and what REAL family means to someone is pretty well told. And I don't think most people in theatres had a dry eye when Yandu said to Quill: "He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy.." Think that line can hit hard for a lot of people with actually GOOD fathers and step fathers, adoptive fathers etc. :)
I agree with you, there was a lot of cringey “humor” in this movie, and the scene about the tape was unnecessary, but I do like the music, mainly because I grew up listening to it. 🌲
So glad to see the return of #MarvelMonday and you’re feeling better!!! Another delightful reaction… I agree that Baby Groot deserves all the love. The “silver guy” you liked is played by Michael Grossbaum (Lex Luthor in Smallville), btw. Another fun fact is that the actress who played Peter’s mother was in Captain America: The First Avenger. 🌳
I had...well, _have_ a Creative Zen Micro, that baby-fist-sized MP3 player. It still works! There was a larger Zen Micro 5GB audio/video player that came later, but once the battery was left dead for a while it wasn't coming back. And yet the older Zen Micro keeps rolling along.
I've said this after so many reactions now, but you continue to share my thoughts exactly, (except I'm one of the few who liked Thor; The Dark World more than most). I much prefer this film to the first one which was way overhyped IMO. Ditto to pretty much everything you said about this film. This gives me more hope that you will like Thor Ragnarok (which is a top-tier film for me), but I guess we'll see... Fantastic reaction as always.
Glad that you are feeling better, KL. Good to see you back. I don't know which of the first two volumes of Guardians I like better, both have their charm. Maybe the second one, because of Baby Groot? 🌿 Next movie will be a good one to watch your reaction, since it'll be the one with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Can't wait to see it.
I definitely prefer the first movie to this one. The first movie had more humour and I definitely love the humour in these movies. It also felt more epic, there were more planets being visited, a big space battle that felt like it was more important, a cool prison break, and it was the first real movie to give us an explanation of the infinity stones and showed us Thanos for the first real time. Because the stones are a theme among most of the previous moves, it felt more connected to the greater story of the MCU. I think a lot of us were looking forward to seeing how guardians 2 would advance the metaplot of the MCU, and it didn't really. Plus, it dramatically changed the background of Peter Quill from the comics so that was a disappointment for people. Plus, as you remarked, the Sovereign aren't great villains. They are played as a joke and their entire fleet gets wiped out super easily... twice. Plus, it's major threat, Ego, is kind of removed from the rest of the universe. He is threatening the test of the universe and you know, intellectually that he'll destroy it but the scale of it and the fact that it is just a blue goo that grows makes it kind of abstract to the point where it is difficult to feel threatened by it. But Yondu still makes this movie great.
I liked Guardians 2 more myself 😮 I think it had a lot more emotionally impactful scenes, and it was really great to have Yondu and Nebula on the team. Guardians 1 was great though; we got an infinity stone there, and a really badass villain. 🌿
I wasn't the biggest fan of this movie at first but now I can't help but get emotional at Yondu's death, and I now hold this movie in higher regard. I enjoy your honest opinions about the MCU; surprised you have the GotG movies so low in your rankings as they are usually in most folks' higher echelons. James Gunn directed the Guardians movies, and I think he just knows how to put hero teams together in movies in the wackiest and awesome ways. He also directed DC's "The Suicide Squad" which was also very good. Not to be confused with the earlier "Suicide Squad" which was awful. I hope he can turn it around at DC because they need the help.
I liked the second one more, yeah. Like you said for the music, maybe I was prepared to the style and I welcomed it more... but all of it, humor too. I liked the humor in this one (and the third :P) Idk how to rank these movies in the MCU because they feel so out of the "main" story, but they do have the huge merit to introduce these memorable characters (in a good or bad way, that's up to you, but they sure are memorable 😂). I think I like them more than the usual origin story type of movie (Thor, the first Cap, Ant-man etc).
You left out the part about Anulax batteries vs. Harbulary batteries. That was the funniest thing for me, I don't know why. It was just so random, LOL :)
As I had commented on the first guardians movie. I actually love everything you said that you hate. Especially drax. I love drax in this. But I am glad that you liked it more than the first movie. I did too😍
Third movie is definitely the best, but at the time Vol. 2 came out this was the best movie to me. Will definitely check out your reaction when you get up to it.
Unfair situation here, Thanos is demanding you to make a choice of...... Who is cutest between Baby Groot, Baby Grugoo/Yoda or Gizmo (from GREMLINS, GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH)? Answer Thanos or he crushes your head like a glass box in his hand. So pick!
The other button isn't cracked it is covered with Drax Scoth tape which was in possession of Groot after Drax crashed Music box in intro. It is one of unnoticed small details in this movie. It baffles me that no one seems to notice that
I preferred the simplicity of the first movie, and felt like the second one didn't really reach a place I wanted it to go. But I do enjoy most reactions to the characters.
for whatever reason, i didn’t like this movie as much on first watch, but upon rewatching, I was surprised how much more i preferred it over the first. Definitely felt more like the plot and villains were directly connected to the main characters. That said, Guardians 3 is by far the best one; I was worried that it wouldn’t be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Best Marvel film of the past few years.
Glad to see you liked this one more than the first. I really don't understand why people liked the first one that much more than this one... I love all three but this one is easily my favorite because it's so emotional, and yeah, the connection with his fathers helps a lot with that. I do get that I have a similar connection with my fathers as Quill does with his, and that helps, but even if I didn't have an asshole biological father and a great adopted father, I would still see how good a story it is and the heart behind it all. Edit: I do both agree and disagree with you about scores in movies. I prefer them when they're done right, but sadly, they stopped being a part of the movie the way they were in the 80s and 90s (and before that) and nowadays they're generally background music that doesn't add to the movie as much as they just fill empty space... Like, I can't really think of many great scores that I can hum since Lord of the Rings, the only exception being the Avengers theme, and ONLY that theme from the series, anything else from all of those movies I wouldn't recognize from any other modern score.
I guess i have a pretty broad sense of humor bc i find the silly/"middle school" stuff just as funny as sarcastic/smartass stuff. Nothing against you at all, i just find it interesting how everyone reacts differently. Everyone is different of course and nothing wrong w that 😁
I personally like Volume 2 better than Volume 1. Volume 3 tho, that's probably my favorite, even in my top 5 of all the mcu movies ngl. I love all 3 of the Guardians movies a whole lot tho. Mainly because I feel like the humor and seriousness is just really well balanced, just the way I like it :). I'm binging all your reactions to the mcu so far, really enjoying it!!!
I had a zune, pretty sure I still have it but doubt it's supported on windows 10... honestly have no idea with everything digital and what not. Great reaction to Guardians 2.
I'm so glad that the crappy month of May is now behind me. Excited to be back into the MCU and I hope you enjoyed this reaction! Welcome back, KL. Hope you're feeling much better
Kaiielle, you have seen other Celestials so far like "Nowhere" (the Giant head from the last Guardians movie. They are represented in the comics.
@10:30 The first onscreen reunion of Sylvester Stallone and Michael Rooker since Cliffhanger.
I love when a post credit scene makes the comic book nerds lose their minds while the casual movie fans just go huh?😂

I love this Stan Lee cameo in that implies that all the other cameos were the same person
The final shot of this movie is a raccoon crying because he understands that he is loved. And it's perfect.
Michael Rooker (Yondu) is a great actor who doesn’t seem to get the respect he deserves but I would love to see more Yondu in future movies. I never would have expected “I’m Mary Poppins y’all” to cause an emotional reaction.

Yondu made me proud of him knowing he protected Srar Lord practically raising him since he was a child making Quill the man he is today, and in the end Yondu gave his life for Peter because he was like a son to him which is why he said he was lucky Peter was his boy.
Drax's humor and the tape bit were some of my favorite parts of this movie lmao
It doesn’t solidify him as a watcher at all
Although this wasn't his last cameo before he died, and he hadn't been involved in writing comics for decades at this point, it is heartbreaking in the end credits scene when he says "Come on guys, I've got so many more stories to tell."
Welcome back Kaielle! I hope you feel better soon.
Feeling good now! I recorded this a couple weeks ago I think. I can't even remember. 🤣 Ready to get back on a regular routine after how dumb May was.
Nah, not skewed!
🌲Welcome back🌲
For me, the killer is when there's a nice wholesome moment and then they stomp on it with a joke
Yeaaaaah, def feel that way a few times.
Drax is my fav in the films, love his 1 liners lol
I have a personally attachment to this movie. Primarily because it came out one month after my father passed. So naturally you can understand how it REALLY hit me at certain parts.
Oh, there was Baby Groot all OVER product packaging!
"I'm waiting to see what this Groot can do, he's so small!"
Sell merchandise. This Groot can sell merchandise LOL
I hope you'll enjoy what comes next for Groot and his friends 🌳
As for the Sovereign being ineffectual as villains -- well, I can't dispute that, but there's a reason for it. Much more than that, I can't tell you.
13:36 that’s what she said💙💙💙😂
Vin Diesel said in an interview that only in his scripts when Groot said "I am Groot" was what Groot was actually saying which was either one or two words or even a full paragraph
In the last Ravager scene with Stallone, the robot head was voiced by Miley Cyrus
Fun fact: with the "prototype fin" he actually looks closer to the comic book version of the character.
Saw all 3 and would be hard for me to pick a favorite. That may be a cop out, but each one develops the characters and the theme of family in such an effective way.
Not a cop out! Totally valid opinion.
Your outros are over 10 minutes long... AND... You're one of the rare reactors that I listen to the entire outro... Good Job m'am! :)
Thank you for saying that. ❤️ The majority of viewers don't watch them (and this is very common across the reaction space in general), so it's always nice to hear from the people that do.
my favorite out of the two is Vol. 2, although some of the jokes don’t land for me. i prefer Vol. 2’s soundtrack and villain over the first one.
I'm glad you're back and feeling better! Sounding better in the outro too. So, improvement continues! 🌱
Personally, I rank this Guardians movie just a tiny bit higher than the first.
And wishing you continued health improvement until you're back to 💯
✌🤓
I liked that you thought this Guardians was better than the first.
Fun fact - in the after credit...where Sylvester Stallone and the others are talking, the last to speak was a robot head (saying "I missed you guys.) ... that was a non-credited part that was voiced by Miley Cyrus.
I am so glad you are taking ur time watching this movies bravo👍
Rocket is my favorite guardian hands down 🦝
What ever James Gunns does, you can count that the soundtrack is total banger!!
Correct, didn't know the reference!
@@kaiielle Understandable, It's very old, and your very young. It was one of my favorite shows growing up! If you ever watched Boy Meets World, Mr. Feeney was the voice of the car.
@@jkhoover Oh cool!
I meant to say I can't wait to see you react to the guardians of the Galaxy volume 3 someday I didn't know I misspelled it🥰
The fin is Yondu's original comic look, when I saw it I nerded a little lol
Also, Ego is NOT actually a Celestial, he most likely just told them that to feed his, um... ego :P In the comics he doesn't actually know *what* he is, and has many different theories on how he came to be. Waaaaay back in the original comics he claimed he was the mind of a scientist merged with his planet when the star went supernova :P
Remember that BIG dude with the staff and 6 eyes in Guardians 1 that they showed when talking about the history of the Power stone?
Marvel Monday is back yayy
Anyway, Mary Poppins signing off 🏹
Also, when it comes to the music, I love the idea that it is, effectively, Peter's mother talking to him. Awesome Mix Volume 2 was her way of speaking directly to him for after her passing.
Oh, and as for Baby Groot, you really need to watch the I Am Groot shorts on Disney+🌳
Good to see you back with marvel .
I'm glad to be back! May was an awful month... here's to a great summer ahead!
The actress who plays the leader of the Sovereign is almost 6'3...
She is good in Tenet as well.
Tenet is on my list to react to pretty soon!
Defintely loved the second guardians than the first. Cant wait for the next mcu film.
The Guardians of the Galaxy wiki tells me that this emoji combo represents Groot (baby or otherwise): 👀🌳
I actually did prefer the first movie over the second, even with the flaws you pointed out (which I mostly agree with). The lackluster villain was made up for in my eyes by the sheer number of "villains" who wound up being friends, which provided for the type of sophomoric humor which I still enjoy. 😄
Glad to see you back and feeling better!
Who says this is the least favorite. No way. "I'm Mary Poppins Ya'll" XD
T-T Poor Yondu
🌱 Draxx kills me in Volume 2 and Yondu's funeral wipes me out. Gamora's expression when Ego says, "and it's not half bad" is hilarious...plus Mantis...sooooooo. Vol. 2🖒
🪵🌿🍂
I missed your MCU reactions 💕
Was wondering if you would like this one more. Some do, some don't. For me it depends on the person. The theme around family and what REAL family means to someone is pretty well told. And I don't think most people in theatres had a dry eye when Yandu said to Quill:
"He may have been your father, but he wasn't your daddy.."
Think that line can hit hard for a lot of people with actually GOOD fathers and step fathers, adoptive fathers etc. :)
I STILL have that exact Zune 😂
I agree with you, there was a lot of cringey “humor” in this movie, and the scene about the tape was unnecessary, but I do like the music, mainly because I grew up listening to it. 🌲
So glad to see the return of #MarvelMonday and you’re feeling better!!! Another delightful reaction… I agree that Baby Groot deserves all the love.
The “silver guy” you liked is played by Michael Grossbaum (Lex Luthor in Smallville), btw. Another fun fact is that the actress who played Peter’s mother was in Captain America: The First Avenger. 🌳
At least get his name right. LOL. It's Michael Rosenbaum.
Hi!
44:00 Had a brown Zune. Was saddened when I returned from basic and could no longer find it.
Next movie will be a good one to watch your reaction, since it'll be the one with our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!
I liked the humor in this one (and the third :P)
Idk how to rank these movies in the MCU because they feel so out of the "main" story, but they do have the huge merit to introduce these memorable characters (in a good or bad way, that's up to you, but they sure are memorable 😂). I think I like them more than the usual origin story type of movie (Thor, the first Cap, Ant-man etc).
You left out the part about Anulax batteries vs. Harbulary batteries. That was the funniest thing for me, I don't know why. It was just so random, LOL :)
Yeee, lots of things have to get cut for copyright!
Kurt Russell is the only actor to appear in Marvel's MCU and the original MCU. (Disney's Medfield College Universe)
As I had commented on the first guardians movie. I actually love everything you said that you hate. Especially drax. I love drax in this. But I am glad that you liked it more than the first movie. I did too😍
Great reaction. You should look up pictures of Yondu from GOTG from the 70s and 80s comics. Lol. You’ll see why they updated his look
It baffles me that no one seems to notice that
My bad!
I preferred the simplicity of the first movie, and felt like the second one didn't really reach a place I wanted it to go.
But I do enjoy most reactions to the characters.
I can definitely see that. I'm such a sucker for character development, so I appreciated the added complexities in this one.
for whatever reason, i didn’t like this movie as much on first watch, but upon rewatching, I was surprised how much more i preferred it over the first. Definitely felt more like the plot and villains were directly connected to the main characters.
That said, Guardians 3 is by far the best one; I was worried that it wouldn’t be as good, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Best Marvel film of the past few years.
Im one of the people who vastly prefer the second one!
I prefer V2 to V1, everything Yondu, Mantis, Rocket and Groot.
Stallone and Kurt Russell in and almost Tango & Cash reunion.
I'm so glad you're starting to feel better!
I recorded this a couple weeks ago now so since doing that, YES I'm feeling loads better and ready to have a good June!
@@kaiielle Hooray! :D
Interstellar has my favourite film score of all-time. It brings me to tears!
@@kaiielle I'm ashamed to admit I've yet to see Interstellar... it's on the (long) list of movies I still need to see.
Thanks so much for watching! 😊
I had a zune, pretty sure I still have it but doubt it's supported on windows 10... honestly have no idea with everything digital and what not. Great reaction to Guardians 2.
That's awesome that you still have one!
Almost every person on Earth will tell you that they do not want to die...
But never dying is so much worse...
Excited for you to get back into the MCU i do prefer Vol 2 to the first Guardians of the galaxy but vol 3 is definitley my favourite!
