Awesome, thanks
You bet!
If you touch the soon to be soap, use vinegar, it helps with the burning, it already happened to me, it works.
Please be careful using vinegar to neutralize lye on your skin. The chemical reaction between the two can cause more injury to your skin than simply rinsing well with cool water. Thanks for commenting!
Recipe says 12.1 ozs of water. But you said 12½. Which one do i use? I think I'm going to add lemon essential oil to mine for dishes. Thanks. So glad i found your channel 😊
Ah! Thank you so much for catching my mistake! It is as the recipe calls for: 12.1 ounces. Thanks so much for commenting! I hope you do give it a try. I use mine for dishes as well and it's amazing! Let me know how it turns out for you :)
Can you please explain how the Lye is neutralized?
it's being saponified
with the oils it's no longer a lye
and without lye you can't make soap
Thanks for the video. My grandmother made soap, and I've been wondering how because I want to also pass this along to my grandchildren.
If you touch by accident the mixture, use apple cider vinegar, or just vinegar, helps with the burning. BLESSINGS
It is such a wonderful and useful skill to have! I'm sure your grandchildren will love learning all about it! Thanks for watching :)
