- After owning the mark iv for a little longer and taking it out to some range trips, I’ve forgotten a better idea of how this firearm performs and a few upgrades I’ve done.
Recieved my plate from lobos today.its an absolutely awsome fit .thanks for the info on the mount.they do small runs and run out quickly. Those interested should act.thanks for the video 👍

@@tonito_el_tigrekeep checking the Lobos website. They pop up often and sell out fast. Like others have stated, the mounts fit perfect.

I just picked up the optic mount as I have the same firearm with the Venom Optic OMG thank you for finding this company it's fantastic. It makes the gun look way better.

@Texan EDC Cave absolutely agree. I picked up the new pistol last week the was in bed looking through RUclips cam across your video. Now I'm going to attempt the white lettering. I'm super happy when I see people here giving ideas about what to buy and a review. You saved me a ton of homework lol

Nice upgrades. I’d like to see a video on how you white the lettering. A lot of the ones I’ve seen people do turn out shoddy looking but yours is excellent. Also, Ruger says that their Mark series pistols can be dry fired without worry. There is a cross pin in the bolt that prevents the firing pin from traveling fully forward. I wouldn’t sit down and dry fire hundreds of times every few days but normal dry firing is perfectly acceptable.

Ok, update: I took white nail polish and whitened the letters. omg it came out perfect it looks awesome. Although my wife thinks I'm crazy but man your video gave great upgrade ideas
I have the Lobo mount and the same red dot. Sweeeet I also added a Halo slide pull. Lov it.
love it ! I have a mark 2 government target model in stainless with a 6 7/8"barrel someone had done a 1.lb trigger job on it before i got it. This thing is the most accurate firearm that I have shot.
If I can't co-witness with the iron sights I want a quick detach feature to remove the optic in case that's needed. That means I would probably just use a picatinny rail with a holosun QD picatinny mount.
That Lobos optics mount is what I’ve been looking for, but it’s sold out…I’ll have to wait it out. Thanks for the info

That mount is slick!
You can dry-fire all Ruger Mk series pistols without concern of doing harm. Ruger even states this in the manual.

These are great guns. I have the Mark IV Target model bone stock. Probably the most deadly handgun I have.

I actually have a video showing how I did the labeling. The mount is a lobos industries mount. Easily the nicest mounts for a ruger 22 pistol. They offer them in all the different mounts available.

There is absolutely no reason to not dry fire a mkiv pistol.

Nice video. I recently purchased a mk4 blue Hunter.
I ordered a holosun HS507c x2 from Midway and the 507k Mount from Lobos.
The holes don’t line up.

Hmm that’s odd, did you maybe get sent the wrong mount on accident? I think it should say on the mount what it’s actually for rather than the packaging

Is this Ruger model worth it to pay more for than the less expensive 22/45 Lite series? Much more accurate? Thanks!
I honestly can’t say if it’s more accurate then the lite series because I’ve never shot one. It’s honestly a personal opinion thing. This version to me shows more character and I can appreciate the machining that went into it. It’s almost like comparing a 1911 to a Glock. Both are great but the glocks are kinda boring to look at👍 if you plan on taking it backpacking or carrying it on you for a while if definitely save the weight and go for the lite series!
@@Cooldibs Yes, I love the all stainless steel aspect compared to aluminum/polymer. I’m just not too sure about the Luger type grip. The Lite series have the 1911 grip, which I know I like. Thanks!
Not crazy about the lite series, the rails are kind of useless because your red dot will be higher than if you just put on an adapter plate. I'm setting mine up for steel challenge I just got the base model. I would of paid more for a 22/45 with alloy lower but there is no such thing.
@@ironmonkey1512 I ended up buying the all metal Tactical Mark IV. The grip does not bother me after all. I do like the added heft of the all metal frame. Thanks!

CCI is the best way to go w Ruger's I've tried others and some don't even feed.
trigger is worth it makes it feel custom.
arguing with my wallet to get the charging loop . getting the extended mag button tho. broken firing pin return spring all ready tho buy pk of them.
get some diamond polishing paste off ebay and use ear bud to polish the feed ramp wile u watch a video to kill the time change earbuds every 5min
Does this cause failures? I want to run this mount but it feels like they mount it in a bad spot?
Not sure what you mean by a bad spot. Are you worried about the case hitting the mount during cycling? If so, it’s not an issue. The casings have never hit the mount on mine.
@@Cooldibs yeah that’s what I was wondering not that reliability is even a concern in these guns I’m just running a suppressor and it’s gets finicky after 500 rounds don’t wanna clear a jam every 3 rounds cause of the red dot lol

Reverse that. The SS version is around $800, blued is around $600.
